Welcome to Keaton Cottage’s Balsam Retreat! Centrally located in Maggie Valley with easy access, you can enjoy this home all year long.

Tucked in the trees in a wonderful neighborhood, this newly renovated cottage was designed with the comfort of both our guests and their pets in mind. Balsam Retreat has everything you’ll need for a fabulous mountain getaway!

Balsam Retreat offers high speed WiFi, king size beds in two bedrooms, Roku tvs, and everything you’ll need for a relaxing stay.

When you first arrive, you will find a large driveway, with parking for multiple vehicles along with a single covered parking area. The downstairs storage area provides a washer and dryer for your convenience. Relax and unwind beside the fire pit at the front of the property.

As you travel up the stone stairs to the wide, gated deck, you’ll be delighted to find cozy rocking chairs, a propane grill, and some beautiful winter views.

As you walk into the main floor of the house you’ll be greeted by an airy living room with an exposed beam ceiling and impressive wood burning fireplace. The delightful kitchen with navy cabinetry, new appliances, and chestnut wood walls, invites you to create a home cooked meal. Also on this floor is cozy master bedroom with a new king size bed and an attached full bath.

Walk up the stairs to the second floor and you will be greeted with a cozy loft and reading nook, plus two additional bedrooms with a Jack and Jill full bath.

Pets are welcome guests at Balsam Retreat and we happily provide a fenced in dog area for our furry friends.

There is paved access to the house that turns to gravel just before the driveway. All roads are maintained year round. There is covered parking for one car or multiple motorcycles and plenty of parking for multiple vehicles.

We are available by text, phone, or message to our guests any time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you need anything at all.

There is so much wildlife in our neighborhood. Deer and elk often walk right through the yard, as do wild turkeys. It is a quiet and peaceful area, yet very close to the center of town.

There is plenty of parking and you will need a car to best enjoy all the area has to offer.

We are happy to welcome pets, and we have no restrictions on breed or size, but please tell about your furry family members that are traveling with you. There is a non-refundable pet fee of $75 per stay.

Guests must climb a flight of natural stone stairs to access the cottage.

Our guests are welcome to use the washer dryer, which is located on the first level of the house next to carport and only accessible from outside.
We kindly request that you keep pets off the furniture and bedding.

Lighter fluid or accelerants of any kind are prohibited both at the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit.
