Luxury mountain home near Owl’s Nest and Waterville Valley

Custom built luxury mountain home built in 2008 situated in the White Mountains just off Route 93N halfway between Woodstock and Waterville Valley. Great location to set out for hiking the Sandwich Wilderness Area and tubing /kayaking the Pemigewasset River. Popular nearby hikes include the Welch-Dicky Loop Trail with incredible views of Waterville Valley. Beaches and swimming areas are not far away at Mirror Lake (3 miles), Waterville Valley Village Beach (10 miles), Staple Rock Park (3 miles) and Russell Pond. Hit some balls at the Sugar Shack driving range just down the road or the Owl's Nest just a few miles from the house. Visit the college town, Plymouth, just 20 mins South for bars and restaurants that are off the tourist map. Venture South on Rte. 175 to Holderness to visit Squam Lake ("On Golden Pond") by sunset nature cruise or North to Woodstock to see the Clark's bears and the wolfman. Just 20 mins North and you'll be in Franconia Notch State Park, where you can see the Basin and Flume Gorge or take the Cannon Aerial Tramway to the 4080' summit overlooking Franconia Ridge and beyond.

House is on a paved road and conveniently located near grocery store, brewery and restaurants, just 3.5 miles from Campton Village. House features include a 17' x 30' great room with vaulted ceilings and massive 16 foot fieldstone fireplace. Large bay windows and front deck have views of Blake Mountain to the West through a grove of tall hemlock pines. There's also a game room in the basement and loft above the family room for the kids.

This property is the definition of "home away from home."From the moment you enter the front door, your feel welcome. The open floor plan, exposed log "beams" and the massive stone fireplace quickly remind you that your on vacation. The spacious and comfortable furniture make this property ideal for getting cozy after a long day in The White Mountains. Good size bedrooms with plenty of closet space. Small game room in the basement is an added benefit. And, depending on what season you visit, there's 3 "decks" for you and your family/friends to enjoy, including a gas grill.Kitchen is beautiful, well equipped and wide open to the dining room (table seats 8) which would make for a pleasurable experience with the family. I must say, that aside from what I've mentioned already, the location of this home may very well be my favorite reason for wanting to return to this property. It's just off of a "main" road, yet it sits on a hill and is secluded enough as to not hear/see any of your neighbors. Loved it!Needless to say, I look forward to returning to this beautiful home again soon!

We went to a wedding at Owls Nest and it was just a quick trip down the street. Spacious and immaculately clean. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great place and location!

We had a wonderful time! House is beautiful and was clean and had everything we needed. Skiing options close by along with restaurants and all the amenities you would need. Host was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Would love to stay at this property again!

Perfection!

We loved staying here! Close to the mountains for skiing (or hiking/kayaking) , and close enough for area shopping and dining. Our family loved the large gathering area and table for playing games. This is a GREAT place to stay for families. Well equipped and beautifully decorated and maintained.

Spent the weekend with family. House was super clean. Beautiful great room with fireplace. Located right between loon and Waterville. Property owner was very attentive and made me feel welcome. Definitely would stay again.

Beautiful house

We were in town for a wedding. Would love to come back to the area and stay here for a vacation. The house is clean, comfortable and spacious. The property is set back and feels secluded without actually being secluded. activities, dinner and shopping are very close. I highly recommend this house.

Ski vacation

We loved staying at Jon’s house. It was perfect for our 2 families! Lots of space to spread out with a very cozy feel. We skied Waterville Valley which was close by. We loved the kitchen and all it had to offer. It was nicely stocked which made cooking meals a breeze. We would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful house

Gorgeous house! Roomy and comfortable, airy and light (even on a series of rainy days it was cheerful inside). My family had plenty of space to spread out and the kitchen was large and very well equipped. Great location close to everything, from adventures in Lincoln to driving the Kanc to excellent dining options both north and south. Jonathan was a super host, very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend!

Mountain getaway

The house was super clean. I saw that the owner called me and left a message when I saw it was too late and there is not much service when we were out hiking mountains. But thank you for checking in. The kids loved the loft area and the game tables downstairs. The house is very convenient to the hiking we were doing. I saw people tubing on the river 5 mins from the house. We were able to see the perseids meteor shower and sooo many stars right outside the house. If we are ever in the area again we will come back to this house. Thank you Only thing I would say it would be helpful to have a regular sized vacuum on hand.

This house is solid in construction, amenity, and enjoyment. Water Quality: 8/10 Staircase Construction: 10/10 Location: 12/10 Inside wildlife was limited to a few ants. if that bothers you, then you definitely wont like the deck cause it’s outside. Open ‘dem windows to feel that 824 foot altitude breeze. Mountain biking? Excellent. Pemigewasset river swimming? Fantastic. Local eateries? Superb. If you don’t like this place, check yo self.

Near Waterville Valley Ski Resort

My family and I had an amazing stay at this home. Jonathan was a wonderful host, easy to reach and consistently checked in to be sure everything was okay since we were there during a winter storm. The home was spacious and so clean. My kids loved the loft and the games in the basement. We would definitely consider staying there again when we are visiting the area!
