Enjoy the peacefulness of El Cortez on Mustang Island, just three miles south of Port Aransas. This recently remodeled and refurnished two-bedroom ground-floor condo is nestled within the tropical landscape and offers all the amenities of home. This is one of only six single story units in the complex without guests upstairs. The open living room is made up of two sofas, a swivel rocker, and a 55" wall mounted TV, and a sliding glass door to the back. The full kitchen is well equipped with all things needed to prepare a meal with Corian countertops, crisp white cabinets and stainless steel appliances, a Keurig Duo single serve and carafe coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Sit down for meals at the dining table with seating for four and three bar stools at the breakfast bar. The master bedroom (BR1) contains a king bed, a dresser for your beach attire, a closet and a wall-mounted TV. The ensuite bathroom holds a vanity, tiled tub/shower unit and a stackable washer/dryer for your use during your stay. This room also has private access to the back patio. The guest bedroom (BR2) is made up of a Queen bed, a set of twin bunkbeds, and nightstands. The ensuite bathroom consists of a vanity, a tiled stand-alone shower, and a closet. Take in the ocean breeze while sitting out on the patio with your morning coffee or cold beverage. This complex offers a new golf cart accessible boardwalk to the beach. After a day of fun at the beach, cool off in the shared pool or grill up snacks and dinner on the shared grills. El Cortez is just five minutes from Port Aransas offering a variety of restaurants, shops, nightlife and fishing charters.

Loved our stay here! Pics were exactly what the unit looked like. Updated, clean and cozy - exactly how I’d decorate a beach house. Loved the well stocked kitchen and throw blankets on the comfy couches. 5 min walk down the boardwalk to the beach and rt across from golf cart parking if you rent one. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great for a family
We rented this home at the same time as a few friends who rented condos in the EC development. It was perfect resting place in between beach trips and quick jumps into the pool! The walk to the beach was so-able with little kids, but I would definitely recommend renting a golf cart if you can!

Great property, perfect location
Property was great with plenty of room for family. Location was only 5 minutes walk to beach. Next time, we definitely will rent a golf cart since board walk allowed golf cart access, but driving vehicle access was only 3 minutes drive up the road.

Great Property
Had a great time at this property and everything was very clean. Only thing which was probably my own fault was I thought it was right in the beach because of the image in the listing of the boardwalk. But the walk to the beach is no problem at all really. Overall a great property and place to spend your vacation time at.

Home away from home...
We had a really nice time. I wish I could've stayed longer.
Property was easy to get to and the beach is a quick golf cart trip away.
We had a small issue with the AC not cooling but the property was quick to react fixed our concern. Will definitely return hopefully for a longer trip.

Nice space
Spacious and great location. Only issue was a clogged drain in the main bath, had to unclog it in order to use the shower. Closet doorknob wasn’t functioning properly and a guest was locked inside.

Sweet vacay spot
We loved the condo. It was very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed to cook and grill. Access to the beach was perfect. It was probably a 5-7 minute easy walk (with no traffic). Our kids are turning 4&5 this summer…if they were much younger we probably would’ve benefited from renting a golf cart. Golf cart parking (for peak season) is right across the parking lot from this unit, so super convenient. We loved our stay and plan to come back!!

Beach trip
Loved the location and we really had a great time. I wasn’t a fan of the sheets on the bed. We also couldn’t lower the air-conditioning. It was set at 74 and couldn’t be moved beyond that. So it was a little warm especially at night.

Gross place to stay
1) The living room carpet was filthy with several stains and food crumbs
2) Couches were filthy
2) A used deodorant canister was found near bedside of small bedroom
3) Blue tablets of some sort were found on floor near master bedroom
4) Master Bedroom tub didn't drain well at all which was really disgusting to bathe in
5) We got locked out of our Villa for quite some time due to a dead battery of the entry keypad
6) Not enough towels
Felt really bad for my family to stay in this place

We arrived home from a hot day at the beach to no running water to shower and no air conditioning. We were told a technician was coming in 25 mins and after 3 hours, we had to leave because the unit was up to 78 degrees. We thought it would be a good idea to atleast hop in the pool to cool off, and the pool was disgustingly filthy. We decided to look at the water heater / AC to if there was an obvious issue and was absolutely disgusted to see mold / mildew / dust everywhere, even Allivet the vents. (Photos shown) The host has not responded to any of my messages about how much of an inconvenience it was to not have running water to take a shower after a hot day at the beach, covered in sunscreen or sand, and then to boot, the AC not working. I paid too much money to not have access to basic necessities such as ability to take a shower and have AC on a day that’s over 105 outside. I do NOT recommend this unit, save yourself from going through what we did and still having to pay full price for it.

Close location to access points to beach
This was a close location for the access points to the beach. It is .4 miles to the part of the beach closest to the this location. It is also a short drive to other access points on Port Aransas. With the sticker for access to port Aransas and other Corpus Christi beaches, it was fun to drive on the beach: I have four wheel drive so wasn’t concerned. But even a car could drive on the beach as some areas are designated for that.
The property itself was clean. The only problem are the slow drains in the showers of which I notified them and they said they would have someone look at it. I have stayed at other beach properties. Do them a favor don’t wash excessive sand off in the shower it’s like cement when it gets in the drain and a very expensive problem to fix. Rinse off outside first. Other than that a great location. There is a pool but not a hot tub. And because it had been raining and there are those ponds to walk by on the property the mosquitos are bad. Even sitting at outside restaurants the mosquitos are terrible. So use mosquito repellant for sure. I would stay there again. It was a great girls getaway as we are both healthcare workers.

Thank you for the review, and thank you for making a great point about the sand in the shower drains! It is so important to rinse the sand off before getting into a pool/hot tub or the shower. It really does cause issues in our drainage. Great point about the mosquitos as well. The city sprays regularly for them, but being on an island, and especially if there has been a recent rain, they can be a nuisance and impossible to eliminate. Some issues with plumbing and kitchen tools
There were some issues with the plumbing in one of the bedrooms; there may be a leak and it had some trouble flushing. Needed better and more kitchen tools, but generally well stocked.
