The ICONIC Mermaid Manor, possibly the most popular vacation home in Weeki Wachee. Fully caged, heated pool!!
Dogs welcome. Any size. But must be friendly and well behaved.
Mermaid Manor is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath pool home. Heated pool with built in seats is completely enclosed under enormous screened lanai. Lanai has lots of gathering space with loungers, dining tables and a gas grill. We have kayaks, life vests and paddles to explore the beautiful clear springs and watch the manatees. Yard is completely fenced. The docks, pool, lanai and entire house is for you and your family to enjoy privately. Only eco-friendly pest control products are professionally applied. We are trying to provide our guests with a carefree, healthy environment so they can concentrate on rest and relaxation. Our home comes with a fully equipped updated kitchen, all linens, towels, shampoo and soap, and even beach towels. Just about anything you would normally use in your home. Two flat screen TV's, and high speed internet.
There is on site parking for your boat trailer. The boat launch is less that 1 mile away at Rogers Park which also has a sandy beach.
Our home is on a 100 ft waterfront bulkhead located on a deep canal with direct access to the Weeki Wachee river and only 20 minute idle to the gulf. 7 minute car ride to the Pine Island Beach to watch beautiful sunsets.
There is an abundance of local waterfront restaurants that afford plenty of opportunity to cater to just about every taste. If this property is unavailable during the time you hoped, I have other Weeki Wachee vacation homes that might fit your needs. If you want a beautiful pool and be able to paddle the clear Weeki, this is your choice.
No massive check out duties. This is your vacation.

We had a great time and the house has a great layout for a couple families. My 12 and 8 year old paddled all the way from the spring head back to the house in their own kayak. Kevin is an amazing host. We appreciate the early check-in, extra supplies (garbage bags, dish soap, shampoo, salt, pepper, and other pantry items, kayaks, paddles, floats and so much more) It made it easy to settle in. He is very responsive to all messages. Thank you so much!

We stayed here for our annual scalloping trip. Plenty of room for 7 of us. Nothing fancy but served our needs. We used the kayaks and Grill. The screened in pool area is the highlight of this property. So nice after being out on a boat all day! Also plenty of parking and lots of extra towels and linens provided!

Perfect stay!

This location was perfect for our group. We had 9 people in total (4 adults and 5 teens) and there were enough kayaks for all of us. The pool was an amazing addition too. The home was a bit close quarters when we were all inside but it was rare that we were all in except to sleep. We would totally come here again.

Nice place, close to shopping , access to river is right there, saw fishes jumping, unfortunately no Manatee, did hear neighbors holler there was one down a few houses.:( The weather didn't cooperate to use the Beautiful pool.

Quick getaway

Cute and cozy great location the host Keven was helpful and quick to respond to any questions within minutes. we will definitely return, if you are looking to see manatees this is the place we saw an abundance of manatees at the hospital hole a five minute kayak ride from the house.

Relaxing and enjoyable

We stayed in this property for my 40th Birthday with my family and my son who brought one of his friends (17) we all had a very relaxing time. We also brought our two dogs. The home was clean and plenty of room for 6 of us and dogs. Beds were super confortable and the AC works amazingly on the hot afternoons. The kayaks were wonderful ammenity to have but i highly recommend renting a boat to tour the river. The pool was a the cherry on top at the end of the long days on the river. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need toncook. Would stay there again for sure.

Perfect river getaway

The house was perfect for me and my family to enjoy kayaking down the river and to unwind in the pool afterwards. Kevin was super helpful and it was great that we were able to bring our dog too. Definitely will return!

Very happy

Kevin was such a great host. Quick to respond to questions, provided good directions of the canals on a map at the house, local restaurants and things to do in the area. There is more at this house than other rentals ive stayed at. The pool was great for my two kids who got in daily. There were multiple kayaks with life jackets there at the house so i didnt have to travel with mine. This is one of the bigger lots on this street. The water in the canals is darker than the clear waters of the main river but its not far to get to in the kayaks. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Amazing!

The house and location was perfect. We had such an amazing time here. The house was perfect for our stay. The house was very clean, and conveniently located to the weekie wachee springs, as well as many restaurants and stores. There is so much to do in the area. The owner was so helpful, and very approachable. I highly recommend this VRBO if you're looking for an enjoyable, and relaxing vacation on the springs.

Great time as always

Love this area, been coming here for years. The house is comfortable, the pool is amazing and the kayaks will get you to the crystal clear waters of the Weeki Wachee in 5 minutes. Love watching the manatees and swimming in the river. Great restaurants nearby. Try Cody's steak house. Food amazing and the owners are great!!! As always, we will be back

I'm mad the previous reviewers lied. I'm disgusted.

Just don't bother with this overpriced ancient trailer rental. While the owner is pleasant and responded quickly that's not good enough, why were things not ready for guests who had booked over 6 weeks prior? This house was not & will never be ready for guests especially at this price. The trailer has buildings added to it over the years & not well, the interior, furniture & appliances have not been updated for at least 15-20 yrs & are literally falling apart other than the floors in the small main area. It's filthy. Years of dust, dirt & debris under beds, the kitchen not clean, lack of usable cooking items, furniture old and mostly broken down, forget the beds. Pet hair everywhere!We booked for the pool & kayaks/dock, been renting 12 years in this area but have never wanted to leave a place as soon as we arrived. Kayaks mainly unusable & need fixed. Pool was 18" below the skimmer, filthy & full of insects and dirt. The pool pumps been broken a while (pool guy confirmed next day) Holes in pool screen & doors that don't close allow for mosquitos. 2 of 3 exterior doors had interior use locks that were broken, 3 women/strange house meant we couldn't go to bed without locking up. Called owner & had to argue that I knew how to use a lock & these were broken, had to argue for a locksmith, he came after midnight, fixed each confirming the original locks were bad. We paid almost $800 for 2 nights & a ruined birthday weekend. The previous reviews, are they fake? Just don't book.

Family vacation

Kevin was a great host and answered questions quickly. This was like going to your grandma's house for vacation. It was small but clean. There were extra beach towels and a few pool noodles to use. The outdoor space was great and is where we spent most of our time. The only thing I found unpleasant is that the 3rd bathroom is actually outside by the pool and not air conditioned. It's great for It's intended purpose of a pool bathroom. It's not so great if you're depending on it for a 3rd bathroom for a guest. We were a family so it wasn't a problem to share the 2nd indoor bathroom, just a minor inconvenience.

all you need and more

the reasons we give 5 stars are the efficiency and kindness of the owner and the offer in general: pool, air conditioning, hot water, kitchen equipment, TV, wifi, kayaks (some would need repair), all is there and works fine. The area is a bit crowded but you can access a nice beach in less than 10 minutes drive and many quiet state parks. The Clearwater area is not too far and we enjoyed it very much: beaches, activities, parks, etc. Overall, very nice vacations in central Florida!

Retired nature lover. First time to visit Weeki Wachee hooked me. I immediately bought a home , and now have three. All my vacation homes cater to completely different lifestyle needs. One home is in the quiet area with access to Mud River by Mary's Fish Camp. Has a boat ramp and very fast access to fishing and scalloping in the gulf. Another home has access to Weeki Wachee with a heated, salt water pool that is screened in. And the third is a super modern living home with beautiful king master suite and two levels that look over the canal with quick access to the Weeki Wachee river.
