This fully air conditioned, oceanfront 1BR/1BA condo is located on the 7th floor of the Lanai building at the Mahana at Kaanapali. Enjoy breathtaking ocean views from entire condo, including the king-size bed! You will love the central AC, two TVs, a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and access to an oceanfront pool, spa, and free parking—with no resort or parking fees.

This entire complex is hotel-zoned, ensuring it will always be available for short-term rentals.

Relax to the soothing sounds of the ocean, sleep soundly on crisp cotton sheets and new pillows, and wake up to stunning views through floor-to-ceiling windows. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails on the lanai, watching dolphins, turtles, and whales (seasonal). The queen-sized sofa bed in the living room provides additional sleeping space, so this unit will accommodate up to 4 adults.

We personally manage the condo and offer seamless communication and assistance with local support staff if needed. There are NO hidden fees or extra charges—because you are booking directly with the owners.

The property boasts a pool, spa, and beach just steps away, plus amenities like tennis, pickleball, and shuffleboard. Enjoy BBQs with multiple grill stations downstairs, and a fully-equipped kitchen for cooking, including a Keurig single cup or carafe coffee maker, French press and coffee bean grinder, waffle iron, mixer, and a full spice rack. You’ll find plenty of supplies for your stay, including soaps, laundry products, coffee pods, and more. Dine on your own private lanai, with breathtaking sunset views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai. You won't find a better table at any restaurant!

Additional amenities include a new 55” Smart TV, DVD player, washer/dryer, and for your beach time enjoy the chairs, towels, umbrella, and coolers we provide. You'll find our guest binder with updated recommendations for local dining and activities. Book activities at the Maui Concierge Services desk in the lobby for added convenience.

Our guests consistently give us 10/10 ratings, appreciating our personal touch and attention to detail. Our condo is frequently updated, ensuring it’s always better than expected—recent guests even bought the same recliner after loving it during their stay!

The unit was extremely clean and well equipped. The host was incredibly proactive and responsive. Truly a jaw dropping view from every angle in the unit. Great location with walking distance to a solid grocery store and some cool low key restaurants along with the higher end beachfront restaurants like dukes. Highly recommend and looking forward to staying here sometime again in the future!

We stayed here for our 10-year anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. The condo is peaceful, with stunning ocean views and incredible sunsets right from the lanai. We loved starting each day with breakfast out there, and ending our evenings watching the sun go down—it was truly priceless.The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach, walking distance to Duke’s and other great restaurants, and close to amazing snorkeling spots. We had a rental car, but rarely needed it, and parking was never an issue.Inside, the condo was stocked with everything we could possibly need—beach chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, cookware, spices, even a rice maker! The bed was incredibly comfortable (one of the best we've ever slept in), and the A/C worked great, which was a must for my husband who’s a hot sleeper.Crystal and Jim left us a thoughtful gift of chocolate-covered mac nuts that were so tasty and appreciated. Their attention to detail and hospitality really made our stay special.We can't say enough good things about this place. It made our anniversary trip to Maui unforgettable. We’d return in a heartbeat!Mahalo!

Check-in was a breeze with the help of Karen at front desk. As we walked in, we saw the amazing view, which is exactly what we were looking for-right on the crystal clear water! We saw lots of turtles from the window. The place was very clean, kitchen had everything you needed, from spices to gadgets to pots and pans for cooking. Bed was super comfy, & the view from the bedroom was just as fantastic as the family room view! Bathroom provided full bottles of shampoo, body wash, & lotion. Laundry area was equipped with plenty of detergent pods & dryer sheets, which is not a common practice for any of the VRBOs I have ever been to. We did a few beach days & since there is no beach space at the Mahana resort big enough to layout at, we packed our Tommy Bahama chairs (4 are there for use), cooler (small or larger-provided in VRBO), & towels provided by the resort & walked about 5 minutes down to a bigger beach in front of Dukes restaurant. There are 3 decent places to eat by Dukes or we drove down to Whalers Village, which had more dining options & shopping. We did notice that the VRBOs location was less crowded & had very few families (kids)-seemed more like an adult chill area. Whalers Village, on the other hand, was very busy with the majority of families with kids. I might also add in the lobby, there was a "Lending Library" for readers to grab a book. We also used the gas grills outside & they were cleaned daily. VRBO owner Crystal was amazing and checked in with us day 2!

Absolutely perfect!! We had one of our best vacations ever staying in Crystal and Jim's beautiful oceanfront condo!! So many positive things (literally everything) but have to mention the ocean view, condo funishings, location, and of course, Crystal's personal, caring, and accessible contact. Check-in and check-out was seemless and simple. Had we known how wonderful and accommodating this trip has been, we would have stayed 2 weeks!! Thanks so much Crystal and Jim for everything and making our 35th Anniversary return to Maui so perfect!! We will be back and much sooner!!

Well furnished with everything you could need for your stay. Amazing views! We saw sea turtles swimming from the lanai. Crystal checked in on us on our stay to make sure everything was going well. Windows and lanai face west so you get great sunsets. I highly recommend this property.

Great honeymoon spot

My husband and I stayed for our one year anniversary/honeymoon and had a great time! The condo is clean and well maintained. It’s in a great location and we were able to easily walk to the grocery and other local restaurants. Loved seeing the turtles swim by everyday! The perfect place to stay

We are VERY happy with our decision to stay here. So much better than a hotel.The expansive ocean view from the main room and lanai (where we ate many meals) is really stunning and surprisingly private. Easy access to beach and snorkeling. Quiet with updated furniture and decor with quality bedding and updated TV with all streaming apps. Very well appointed—plenty of gadgets and staples in the kitchen, and easy shopping nearby (though it’s Maui, so groceries are pricy). Unit owners are attentive and welcoming hosts and offered insights into local attractions. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Maui.

Full Relaxation

From the time of booking, Jim and Crystal have been very communicative about anything and everything. Walking in the door, it was an immediate welcome into the condo woth music, waves and soft lighting. The condo is at the north end of Kaanapali beach, so it's easy access to everything without the crowds. The lanai is large and faces the ocean for front-row views of the sunsets and gentle sunrise colors.Our most favorite part: opening the lanai doors and letting the crashing waves lull us into complete relaxation.

Maui Dream Vacation

This condominium exceeded all of our expectations. The location on the north end of Kaanapali beach is wonderful, away from the more crowded and busier resorts. Food trucks are a couple-minute walk away, making for easy dinners on the lanai which provided unrivaled sunset views. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the family room and bedroom kept the ocean always in view. The sounds of waves breaking was a soothing way to sleep each night. A full kitchen and nearby grocery store make eating-in simple. Duke’s restaurant is just a few steps away on the beach boardwalk for a nice sit-down dinner. And the boardwalk extends all the way past Black Rock to the southern part of Kaanapali, making Whaler’s Village and easy 45-minute stroll. The condominium is the perfect place to stay on Maui.

First Maui Trip - Kaanapali

This was our first trip to Maui and we could not have asked for a better location and experience then at the Mahana in Kaanapali. Every morning, we woke up to see whales breaching from the bedroom view. The condo had amazing views, was extremely clean, and very well appointed. The hosts, Crystal and Jim, have thought of everything that you would need to enjoy your stay in Maui and are very good at communicating with you during your stay. We will definitely be staying at this condo again.

Fabulous stay!

This was our first time in Hawaii, and I must say that this condo could not have been any more perfect. The view was spectacular and the condo had absolutely everything you might need during your stay. The location was wonderful. The property had a lovely barbequing area right beside the pool and hot tub and the beach was only a few feet away. This property exceeded all my expectations. I can not say enough about our incredible stay at the Mahana. . Jim and Crystal have done a wonderful job! It's impossible to go wrong staying at this condo!

Fantastic location

This has to be one of the nicest locations on Maui. The condo is ocean-facing with a clear 180 degree view, and the building is just a few dozen feet from the beach, if that.The condo is exactly as described. Quiet, clean and spacious.We hope to be able to stay in this unit again next year.

Anniversary getaway

This property was everything it said it was and more! Walked in to a clean, comfortable, very well stocked, nicely decorated place. The view is unreal! Full windows and perfect lanai look out onto the most gorgeous view of the ocean! Jim and Crystal are great hosts and have literally thought of everything. Fully stocked unit made our stay so comfortable and convenient. They were so willing to help us out with any questions we had about Maui, local activities etc. Fast to respond and nice people. We will be back!

We're beyond excited to be the new owners of Mahana at Kaanapali 717! We're from Northern California, have enjoyed many travels thanks to my husband's Naval career, but we've always been drawn to the ocean. For Valentine’s Day 2007 we visited Maui for the 1st time, it was magical! Beaches, snorkeling, the scent of plumeria, the sound of the ocean... it was breathtaking, romantic, and unforgettable. Then it was back home to the mainland where life went on, we continued raising our 3 sons, but we visited Hawaii as often as we could.

Eventually we settled back in Northern California when Jim retired from the Navy. We were blessed to purchase an oceanfront condo on Kauai in 2012. We visited often, renovating and refurbishing each trip. We had great success on vrbo, helping others enjoy Kauai. We then bought an oceanfront studio on Maui in 2015. Fast forward to 2022, we were able to sell both units and purchase our dream condo, Mahana 717.

We average three or four 10-star reviews per month. They're posted directly to our listing by our previous guests. We can't change a word of them, just add our reply. We love being vacation rental owners, love helping our guests enjoy Maui, and always strive to provide the very best customer service.

During the winter months humpback whales migrate to the warmer waters around Hawaii, and they use the ʻAuʻau channel in front of Kaanapali and West Maui as their nursery. ( ʻAuʻau translates "to take a bath," referring to its calm bath-like conditions). They birth their calves there, and instruct them for life out in the open ocean. They can put on a spectacular show, breeching and flipping their tales and flukes, all in view from the 7th floor vantage point of this condo. When you walk in the front door of 717, you're drawn straight ahead to the floor to ceiling windows, and the 180° ocean views from every corner of the condo.
