Our family stayed at this property over Thanksgiving. While the home appeared clean on arrival, we immediately discovered a significant bug infestation, especially in the second bedroom where our children were supposed to sleep. Pest control was sent out the next day, but we were unable to use the home during treatment, and no cleaner was sent afterward to remove the dead bugs left behind.Throughout the stay, we also experienced ongoing utility and maintenance issues. The water repeatedly went out due to breakers flipping, even when very little was being used in the home. The upstairs bathroom was only usable as a half bath because the shower rod would not stay in place. The downstairs toilet frequently gurgled and splattered despite not being in use, which created additional sanitation concerns.The final issue was the presence of rodents. The host provided mouse traps as the solution, but the problem continued. At that point, we felt the home was no longer suitable for our family, and we ultimately had to leave and stay in a hotel for the remainder of our trip. This resulted in unexpected expenses, including replacing over 500 worth of food and paying for hotel and dining costs.The host offered only one night’s refund despite the property being unusable for multiple days. I’m sharing this review so future guests are aware of the issues we experienced. I hope the host is able to address these concerns for future stays.
