Blackbeard's Hideaway es una elegante villa de piedra de la Misión Española que se encuentra en el lado sur de la península de Steele Point y es parte de la famosa Steele Point Estate. La villa cuenta con fabulosas vistas al océano, fresca brisa de viento comercial, jardines bellamente cuidados y una exuberante vegetación por todas partes para una reclusión óptima.

Esta villa de dos dormitorios tiene un diseño excelente, con dos suites de un dormitorio idénticas separadas por una fabulosa gran sala con paredes de 14 pies y un techo abierto de 18 pies. Blackbeard's tiene el diseño ideal para 2 parejas, brindando a todos mucha privacidad.

I could not recommend this property enough. We were a group of four; My wife and I and our two boys 11 and 9. The home and views are spectacular, the location is great and the communication with the owners and staff was seamless. We will definitely be renting again.

Great location and house on Tortola

Just home from Blackbeards Hideaway and we had a great time. The villa's location on Steele Point at the West End is exceptional allowing for great views and watching boats pass through the channel. The layout of the house is very nice with two full master suites separated by a wonderful kitchen and living area. Overall a great place to spend time in the BVI's.

Great Space for Unwinding

My wife and I have been to at least a dozen high-end VRBO rentals. This one surpasses all the others by leaps and bounds! Tremendous in all ways: deck, pool, interior, beds. A special shout out to the caretakers Astley and Charmaine who were both friendly and very helpful, making our stay that much more enjoyable. While it was just my wife and me staying at "Blackbeard's Hideaway", it would also be great for a family of four or two couples. We had a wonderful vacation!

Absolutely perfect!

Located down a bumpy dirt road surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and very private. Meticulously kept home and grounds. Views were spectacular. The pool was nice size to float in. Fun to watch turtles and dolohins from the balcony. Path down to beautiful dock was wasy to navigate. Kitchen was well equipped. Outdoor gas grill worked well. Ac in bedrooms was delightful. Everything was perfect. No complaints.

Fabulous!

Picture were great but was even better in person. For 2 couples this floor plan is perfect! We grilled out most nights and kitchen was well appointed and the openness was perfect with every most of our time spent on the large porch. We will definitely be back. Astley and Charmaine were a nice surprise and such a help and wonderful people. We will be back. The other properties on Steel Point were beautiful and perfect for a larger crowd. On minutes from West End. Irene, the owner was very responsive and her recommendations were all great.

Breathtaking view! If you are looking for seclusion and amazing views, this is the place for you.

The property was breathtaking. Everytime we entered, the veiw took our breath away. Very private and gorgeous. Irina, the owner, was very helpful. We loved Fish N Lime down the hill, that is the only restaurant we went to, two nights in a row, very good. The rest of the time, we cooked. My husband caught a fish off the dock and we had it for dinner one night. Must rent a vehicle. We used DEDES, had an issue in the beginning but they made it right with us. Long Bay and Cane Bay were the two beaches we visited. Very nice. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a secluded, relaxing vacation!

Perfection!!

My husband and I wanted a relaxing, secluded vacation for our anniversary, and that’s exactly what we got. The villa was truly perfect! The house had everything we needed. The outside was picture perfect with gorgeous landscaping all around. The path down to the dock was such a fun touch! While we were there, Tortola had a fairly significant rainstorm. Other people on the island lost power and even had to leave, but we never lost power and felt safe staying. Two people even came to check on us the next day and gave us the road conditions so we didn’t have to worry about not being able to make it down the hill. This was definitely one of our favorite trips we’ve ever taken. We would absolutely return to this villa in the future. Our one regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Immaculate villa and pristine property, Blackbeard's Villa is top notch! Quiet, comfortable, truly felt like a home away from home. Irena and Pat could not be more gracious, and the staff were welcoming and a joy to be around. Amazing location and perfect for hiking, swimming, yacht watching, and nightly sunsets. The villa was not lacking anything, wifi worked perfect, kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were cozy. We would come back in a heartbeat!

The happiest place on earth.

We spent a week at Blackbeard’s Hideaway in early November. From the stunning views to the well-stocked kitchen, this is the perfect BVI getaway for two couples. The bedrooms are two virtually identical master suites at opposite ends of the house. The layout gives everyone plenty of room and privacy. Ashley, Charmaine and Irina were the consummate hosts and took such good care of us. We spent the last morning of our stay planning a return trip.

We were two couples who had never traveled together before. We loved the house and the privacy we were both afforded. Identical size bedrooms with wonderful furnishings. Exceptional two bedroom villa

The villa is extraordinary, with a large common area with comfortable seating. entertainment center and high end kitchen. The bedrooms are at opposite ends of the villa, each with a king-size bed and en suite bath and wonderful private outdoor shower. The villa is situated on Steele Point Estate at the very West end of Tortola, and faces onto Sir Francis Drake Channel (see picture). The deck has seating for entertaining guests and dinner. The best villa I have ever enjoyed in the Caribbean!

Spectacular Villa and Setting

Perched on a hilltop with an expansive water view, this villa delivers a vacation to be remembered. An open plan floods the interior with light and gentle breezes. The show of boats parading by, from sun up to sun down, cannot be beat. The furnishings are elegant, the beds extremely comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with quality cooking supplies, including every spice you could ever want. The pool was the perfect temperature and the outdoor shower pure heaven. This place exceeds expectations in every way.

Blackbeard's Hideaway villa at the Steele Point Estate is extraordinary.

Blackbeard's is situated above Sir Francis Drake Channel on the Steele Point Estate, which comprises the entire peninsula at the extreme west end of Tortola. Views there are amazing. The villa has been beautifully restored after Hurricane Irma, with all the amenities one could expect. Tortola suffered severe damage back in September from the passage of the hurricane directly over the island. Many restaurants are now operating, and sailing charter operations are in full swing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blackbeard's.,

We have stayed at villas all over the BVI and this one takes the top prize. Exquisite in every way

Black beards is the perfect villa for two couples. It has equal suites and the great common space for cooking, dining and soaking up the views. The views are outstanding and unique as you get a combination of blue water, green mountains and a constant stream of sailboats, mega yachts and ferries. The villa is part of a gated and very private Steele Point Peninsula with views in all directions. We recommend you bring a pair of binoculars! The villa itself is beautifully designed with the highest quality finishes and furnishings. Kitchen is well equipped with high end appliances. The outdoor showers are perfect To top it all off, the owner and service staff are helpful and thoughtful and you can tell they really want their guests to have a perfect stay. Luxurious Villa with Stunning Ocean Views

My wife and I recently stayed at this magnificent home for our 20th Anniversary and we had a lovely time. The elegant villa is located at the West End of Tortola on the exclusive Steele Point Estate peninsula. The home offers pure luxury and outstanding comfort with everything you need and more. The villa also offers breathtaking views of the ocean and the nearby islands of Little Thach, Thach, Frenchman’s Cay, St. John and St. Thomas. You can enjoy amazing sunset over St. Thomas from the gorgeous terrace, and views of Jost Van Dyke Island from the north garden. The interiors are mingled with the outdoors through a wide opening. Besides, each master bedroom has a large two-fold glass door that allows spectacular views from your own bed. The showers are partially open to the environment for very private views and the fresh breeze. The place is very safe and secluded for added privacy, yet you feel accompanied by the many passing or nearby anchored boats that transit through the peninsula and Little Thatch Island. The home, as well as, linens and towels are immaculate. The only things in need of some care are the sofas on the living room. You get daily housekeeping service from Ira, a charming lady that will greet you and show you around upon arrival. Ira does a nice job and will try her best to come to the house at a reasonable and convenient time for you. Ashis is the really sweet man who takes care of the manicured gardens and the pool. He would announce himself before starting any work. We never felt that our privacy was invaded whatsoever. Both of them are very polite and do a great job in keeping this place shining. Mrs. Irina, the owner, is very gracious and provides very useful information to her guests. She called us upon arrival to make sure everything was going well. As far as location, there are a few beaches, restaurants, the Soper’s Hole Marina, a Spa, groceries and shops nearby. However, please keep in mind that you will need a 4x4 to move around as the short road to get to the house is a narrow dirt road. It is about a 2 minute drive to the paved road. Smuggler’s Cove beach is another 5 minutes up the dirt road. We definitely recommend renting from Dede’s car rental. They deliver the car to the port and have great service. I had a flat tire and they came and fixed it for free while we were at Jost Van Dyke and had the car ready when we got back. Overall we really enjoyed our stay would definitely love to be back in the future.

In 1968 Irene and her late husband Stuart, both aged 20, honeymooned on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. The rest is history... In the early 80's they introduced their young children to not just St. John but the US and British Virgin Islands. Although the dream was to move to St. John and begin a new life in paradise,.that was not to be after the passing of Stuart. It was not until 2000 that Irene, and her daughter Christine, and son Justin, together purchased the 8 acre peninsular estate known as Steele Point. Since then a new extended family.has come to be - 6 children and 8 grandchildren!

The estate is exclusively private, with three homes, all with magnificent views and unique tropical open architectural styles. Quite simply it was a most intriguing opportunity for the family to own not just a piece of paradise in the British Virgin Islands, but also one of the most impressive properties anywhere in the world.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Oh and did we mention the view? The peninsula itself is one of the many headlands that make up the Sir Francis Drake Channel. Beyond the channel is picturesque St. John however, the view from Blackbeard's is of the 7,000+ acres of undeveloped National Park. If the aforementioned views were not enough, from Blackbeard's you can also see BVI National Parks, Great Thatch Island, Sandy Cay, and Sandy Spit along with eight other islands. Another unique feature of this property is living on the very peninsula where quite literally the Atlantic and Caribbean converge. Furthermore being part of the Steele Point Estate this villa is directly in the center of not just the U.S. or BVI, but all the Virgin Islands. Everything wonderful that the Virgin Islands has to offer is equidistant and easily accessible. Lastly, because the peninsula is a gated estate you have the privacy of a private island, but the convenience of being on BVI's main island.
