Things were great!! We had a great time-the kitchen had all we needed- the front room stove was easy to deal with and kept us all warm-two years in a row-keep it up -thanks!!!

We had a wonderful visit! The property is super close to town, spacious, clean, convenient, and the view was great! The large dining room table was great for board games, and the large TV was perfect for winding down at the end of the night! Wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the games downstairs and the BBQ grill! This is a very cool property, with an excellent host that you should not pass up an opportunity to book! Thanks again for making our quick trip to Julian a blast!

Beautiful house with stunning views.

The house is spacious and comfortable. The views are incredible. The property is private and quiet and just a five minute drive into town. Perfect location. We would definitely stay at the property again. Highly recommend.

The property was very comfortable and clean. The views were magnificent. Enjoyed the kitchen and eating in. The baby loved the swing. At night it was wonderful to sit out on the porch to watch the sun set and then gather around the fire to chat and enjoy the profound quiet or go downstairs to play games. Slept well on the beds which had cozy bedding. Extra blankets were provided for naps as well. The claw foot tub was delightful and the hot water did not run out.Situated on a steep hill with a very steep driveway I’d be hesitant to use if the weather was bad. Close to town but too hilly to walk there with a one year old.

So clean with breathtaking views

Such a wonderful and comfortable stay. The place has all the cooking things you'll need and the most amazing deck, we even saw the Milky Way! We were so impressed at how impeccably clean the place was and the lovely furniture layout. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful sunsets and starry nights

The view from the deck is amazing. We enjoyed sunsets and starry nights. The house feels private and secluded like a cabin in the country. It's close to Julian and Wynola, two areas we love to visit for pie, food and unique shops.

Loved this place!

Perfect Location for Families

The location was just close enough outside the city for convenience, but up at a hill top with a gorgeous, quiet view! Fully stocked and well laid out for our family of 5. Lots of entertainment with the TV options, board games, and basement games. We enjoyed the back patio the most!

Great stay in Julian

Roger was a great host, his property has an amazing view and was well stocked with supplies. Only detail I would suggest for the host would be a shower curtain around the bathtub in the guest bath with maybe an extended arm to have both bathrooms to have showers in it. Otherwise, it was a great location and stay

Peaceful stay

We stayed here to get away from the fireworks for the 4th of July and the property was beautiful. Everything was clean and cozy and the view from the deck was amazing. Roger was super responsive and an amazing host. Hope to be back next year!

Amazing Julian sunsets

We couldn’t wait to see the views from this beautiful property and we were not disappointed. Nothing better than coming home and seeing the expanse of fields, trees and grazing cows. Enjoyed the sunsets by the fire table or from the dining table while playing games. Very comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen. Hope we can return someday.

Beautiful Night Sky

We stayed here for nearly 3 weeks. The home itself was clean and quiet and spacious! The views are unbeatable and the stary night sky is spectacular! My communication with the host was prompt and attentive. If you desire a quite peacful atmosphere, you just found it!

Beautiful Views and Comfortable Accommodations

This was our first time visiting Julian where we came for a family wedding. We chose this home 100% based on the photos and reviews as the area was totally unfamiliar to us. Happy to say that the house was very comfortable and clean, and Roger was very easy to communicate with and very friendly. The drive to the house is through very narrow, winding streets and it’s located at the end of the street, so very private with no houses nearby.

A must stay!

This property is amazing. Great privacy, excellent location, with breathtaking views. We got 4 inches of snow the first night and saw deer and wild turkey while walking around the property. The house is clean, well furnished, and well stocked with cookware for a home cooked meal. Great communication with the owner, and be sure to read the black binder on the table by the front door. Lots of great info in there on the history of Julian. This is a must stay and we will be coming back for sure.

Built in 2007 “Julian Sky” is a cozy farmhouse style home with wood burning stove and open format living, dining, and kitchen area. We have a full deck balcony off the main home with stunning 180 degree southerly views of the Julian area and Pine Hills. Spectacular sunrise and sunsets with amazing stargazing as well!

Inside the home you’ll notice vaulted ceilings with beautiful Russian elm wood flooring and custom tile throughout. We have 3 bedrooms with comfy new mattresses (one King and two Queens) and 2 bathrooms including a free standing bathtub with shower handle (not standing shower) in the guest bathroom and walk-in shower in the master bath. A tandem garage (2 cars) with attached basement area and games available including Foosball and Ping Pong. Fully equipped kitchen with bar island and dining table for 6. A comfortable living area that includes new Smart TV with Netflix, Disney + and Yamaha BT and Alexa activated sound system and fast WiFi available throughout.

The 2.5 acre property has a long private driveway lined with several mature Coastal Live oak trees. Great areas to run around and explore. The home is literally built into the mountain allowing for the incredible location and views. It is not uncommon to see wildlife including birds of prey, fox, and deer.

The long 200 foot driveway is mostly concrete and is steep going down and then up to the house. May be slick when snow or ice is present. If snow is on the driveway, must have all wheel drive or chains. Snow shovel and rock salt may be available in the shed.
