Welcome to our home away from home in the rolling hills of Afton, VA! We love to experience new restaurants, wineries, breweries, and new adventures. Trust us, Afton has all of that! Wineries and Breweries are minutes away: Hazy Mountain, King Family, Veritas, Blue Mountain and more! Love the outdoors? Come explore Shenandoah National Park: hiking, fishing, biking, and horseback riding. Wintergreen Resort is a short drive with skiing, tubing, swimming, and hiking. There is fun for everyone!

The Space:
"Time to Wine Down" is nestled in a community right off of Rt 151. The home sits on two acres with plenty of room to have fun in the yard or oversized patio. Our home was built in 1959 and has some character to it! Is a ranch cottage home with a basement. The home Includes: 4 bedrooms, 1 bonus room, 2 full bathrooms, main level family room, kitchen, dining room, basement family room, and laundry room. There is no master suite or master bathroom. All bedrooms have similar square footage. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds, one bedroom has a pair of twin beds, and a bonus room with a pair of twin beds. Amenities include: fully equipped kitchen, free fiber wifi, flat screen streaming TVs, private furnished patio, linens, towels, private driveway, and more.

One of the bathrooms has a stand up shower. The second bathroom has a shower/tub combination. Each bathroom includes towels, hair dryer, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. It's an older remodeled home so please keep in mind the bathrooms are still small.

The basement is a great place to play games, hang out and enjoy a cold beverage. The basement has an air hockey table for some competitive fun! The patio off the back of the basement has a table and chairs. And off to the side of the house is a large gathering spot with seating, large dining table, string lights, and fire pit. This location is a perfect spot to play corn hole, cook s'mores, and hangout around the fire pit. Enjoy!

Time to Wine Down" is a pet-friendly home that welcomes up to two dogs. Please contact the host for details regarding the pet fee and guidelines. Guests must agree to the pet rules and pay the applicable fee prior to bringing their furry friends.

Guest Access:

* Only park on the driveway and covered carport

The Neighborhood:
One minute off the road from Rt 151 Virginia Wine and Brew Trail. Our neighborhood is a quiet street with street lighting.

Getting Around:
We work directly with Afton Coach LLC. Book with us and you will receive a discount through them.

Services: Wine and Beer tours, Bachelorette & Bachelor parties, UVA Games, Downtown Charlottesville, Weddings, Concerts & Events, Door to Door, and Airport.

Other Things to Note:
Time to Wine Down was a fun project for us. The home is completely renovated and we tried our best to use all the space. The steps leading down to the basement have a low clearance. Please mind your head when you are walking up and down. The basement does have a drop down ceiling ranging from 7' to 6.5'. One of the queen bedrooms in the basement has no central air. We do have a heater that warms up the room nicely. In the summer it does stay nice and cool. We have a fan available for that room.

* High chair is available and located in the laundry room. Toys and books are in the twin bedroom on the main level. Puzzles located in the TV stand in the family room. Library is located in the basement.
* Firewood and charcoal are not included. You can purchase at Ashley's Market down the road.
* Washer and dryer is located in the basement with detergent
* Included Supplies: Dish soap, dish detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, face wipes, iron/ironing board, and laundry detergent.

-Down the street:
Route 151 is famously known for 26 wineries, breweries, ciders, and distilleries. We are lucky enough to be in the heart of it all! We have a wine cooler for all your new bottles. Always check online to confirm hours, services, reservations and live music!

Weddings: We are less than 8 minutes away from wedding venues: Afton Mountain Vineyard, Hazy Mountain Vineyard, Veritas Vineyard, Valley Road Vineyard, Maren Estates, The Blue Ridge Farm, Cardinal Point Vineyard, Swannano Palace, and more!

Rebbel Runs is a 3 minute drive from our house. They offer scenic vineyard horseback riding.

Hikes close by: Blue Ridge Tunnel, Humpback Rock, Appalachian Trail, Pauls Creek Trail, Shenandoah National Park, and more!

Fly Fishing: Book gear and tours with South River Fly Shop and Rockfish Gap Outfitters

Wintergreen: Has a lot to offer during all seasons. Winter: ski, cross country ski, snowboard, tubing, snow shoe, and indoor pool. Summer: hiking, mountain biking, walking trails, and swimming at lake monacan. Please contact the resort for public hours and prices.

House Notes:

*We kindly request no parties, and guests must be 25 years of age or older to reserve the home.

Damage & Rule Violation Policy:
Guests are responsible for any damages that occur inside or outside the property during their stay. If damages are found or if house rules are violated, you will be charged accordingly.
