Drive 3 miles down the Parkway and hike up Humpback Rock. If you're here during winter, have fun at “The Plunge”, Virginia’s largest tubing park, or enjoy skiing at Wintergreen Resort. One of the attractions of our HoriZEN home is the wilderness setting. Living surrounded by nature can put you in close contact with creatures great and small. Everything from bears, deer, snakes outside to lady bugs (no matter how fastidious the cleaning) inside can be encountered. Please make sure all doors and windows are closed and secured when entering or leaving the house and be observant of your surroundings when enjoying this bucolic setting! Do not leave food in your parked vehicle. Lock your car doors because the bears can get into unlocked doors and cause costly damage, which owners are not responsible for. Life in the mountains!
