Private lakefront oasis close to wineries and Hammondsport

Beautiful up to date lake front home with all the amenities including Kayaks for your use. This is the place to stay for families ready to enjoy the lake or couples looking to get away for a wine tour weekend. Start with a coffee on the dock as you watch the sunrise light up the bluff, and finish the day with a cozy fire on the patio. Once you are down the stairs, enjoy one level living with just a few steps between the house, lake, the patio and the huge permanent dock.

Located just 3 miles North of Hammondsport on the West side of the lake. Enjoy lunch and dinner on the patio with the lake views, stroll through historic Hammondsport, take your boat to restaurants, or hit a food truck at the nearby brewery. The best wineries in the finger lakes are just up the hill.

Deep water dock is great for swimming with great fishing right off the dock. Shale beach to ease into the crystal clear Keuka Lake water. Front yard is a great grassy area for kids to play games, or to kick back and take in the gorgeous view.

The house has three bedrooms + extra separate bunkhouse. There is one bedroom with a queen, one bedroom with a king, a bedroom with a twin over full, and the separate bunkhouse with a full bed. Comfortably sleeps 8. One large bath with another half bath. Laundry on-site.

Wonderful week on the Lake

The location is perfect, very close to many wineries and a quick ride to the town. The house is beautifully decorated and was equipped with anything we could need. A shed full of water rafts, games etc. A nap on the hammock is a must! Our family had a wonderful time and would love to come back! The owners were very responsive

Great memories

The cottage is lovely and we made wonderful memories swimming, fishing, boating and dining at the restaurant on the lake . Also the evening bonfires with s’more were fun .

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The hosts were quick communicating and the house was pristine. Having a house right on the lake was amazing and it was near everything. They provide a variety amenities that make your stay comfortable and safe. I would highly recommend a stay here and can’t wait to go back again!

Great long weekend

My family and I enjoyed this stay so much! The place is very cute, looks like the interior was recently updated and adorable. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The property had so many amenities for us to enjoy- a lily pad, tons of inflatables, yard games and fire pit! The hosts were great and very responsive! Would definitely book again!

Perfect Keuka Property

5 Star stay at Wake on the West. This property was perfect for our family. Great indoor and outdoor space to enjoy the lake. We loved the outdoor patio (large shade umbrella), firepit and 2 docks. Cottage is well stocked indoors and out-kayaks, fishing poles, wood, rafts. Kids and adults had a blast! We look forward to staying again next year

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time at the property. Great location on West lake Rd...the stairs were a lot, but that is expected on west lake. The little bunk house was perfect for older kids. The shed had plenty of water toys and extra life jackets!

Always Amazing

This was our 3rd time staying here and as always we had an amazing time! The house is always so clean and the new owners have made some very nice upgrades including a new floating trampoline that the kids loved! We caught a ton of fish off the pier including several very nice smallies! Another relaxing week in paradise!

Second Time and Loved it Even More

Our 2nd stay at Wake on the West was even better than our first! Weather was perfect and the lake was very warm. We enjoyed lots of time swimming and floating off the dock, took a Keuka boat tour, and even visited some wineries. Location is great, we spend a lot of time analyzing other local rental possibilities but this place has everything you could ask for, minus the (necessary) steps down.

Great Time on Keuka Lake

This was our last family get away before my kids left for college. The lake is beautiful and the house is perfectly situated on the west side (which we prefer). Recommend visiting Dr Frank vineyards and eat at Park Inn. If you are planning on cooking bring stuff from home. Not a lot in terms of grocery stores. We rented a boat which was perfect for our trip. Host is lovely. And you cannot beat the views!

Relaxing getaway with the family

We very much enjoyed our stay at Wake on the West. The home is well-appointed and very comfortable. Our kids (13 and 17) each brought a friend and had a wonderful time with all the lake toys and fishing off the dock. We rented a boat and tube from Keuka Boat Rentals for one of our days, which was both easy and convenient. Now that we know the lay of the lake we are happy we chose to rent closer to Hammondsport vs Penn Yan because everything is so close and convenient. We went into town each night to eat and were pleased with the selections. We plan to be back and to rent again at Wake on the West!

GREAT LAKEFRONT HOUSE

Just cannot thank Justin and Carrie enough. The house was lovely and absolutely perfect. The place was clean, bed comfortable, and everything was labeled perfectly and so organized. The windows and views of the lake were stunning from the house. The outside lawn area was beautiful and it was so nice to have deep water to fish off of. We caught some great fish and enjoyed many meals together on our weekend. We met Carrier on our way out-very kind lady. Thank you so much for everything-I will recommend to many folks.

Lake Life

Once you descend the stairs, everything about the property focuses on the lake. The views from the house are prefect and we noticed we were lucky to have the shale beach for our use as many surrounding properties do not have a place to walk in to the lake. The dock was where we spent most of our time enjoying some of the included water accessories like the lily pad and inflatable pool, and the sprawling ranch-like layout was perfect for the 3 families that made up our guest list. The owner was very responsive throughout the entire process. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Restful and relaxing

We had a wonderful time! The little shale beach was perfect for getting into the water, especially for the 2 year old. There were a lot of floaty devices in the shed but our favorite was the "lotus," which we were on for hours! The house was very well stocked with everything we could need and was very clean and comfortable. We were not aware of the 3 flights of stairs we needed to go down to get to the house, but once we were down there, we just limited the number of times we went up and down. Of course it didn't bother the kids! We would definitely consider staying there again. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The best stay!

We spent just under two weeks at this property at the beginning of August and had the most wonderful time. The property is exactly as pictured and absolutely adorable. There were lots of extra goodies in the outside shed that made the experience even better for our kiddos (12, 9 and 6). The dock is great to jump off and swim. Our kids absolutely loved the water trampoline and lily pad and kayaks. So much to keep you busy all day. We enjoyed a fire pretty much every night and loved lounging on the outdoor couch for drinks in the afternoon. We also rented a boat while we were there which made the trip that much better. We took the boat to lunch several times and to meet friends that have a house on the lake. There are several great wineries and breweries within a short driving distance of the property that we also were able to check out and enjoy. We even went to a concert at Point of the Bluff while we were there. What a great venue with an amazing view. The property owners were easy to work with, and we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!

Great house on a beautiful lake

This house has a stunning view of the lake. We visited during the peak fall colors! The house was very clean, nicely decorated, beds were very comfortable. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful escape

This property is bright, clean and cozy with lake views from every angle. We loved being minutes close to Hammondsport for local conveniences. The decor and interior design is calming and feels like vacation. The large dock was great for our boat and the mini shale beach was perfect to launch kayaks, paddle boards and for our toddlers to wade in the water. The owners were extremely responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome Lake House

All you need to. bring is friends, family and food and drink. Lake toys provided and all of the amenities of home. Hosts are wonderful communicators as well. Would definitely be back again!
