We just finished a wonderful stay at this Highlands cabin. It was perfect for our group of 10 adults and pups. The lake was peaceful, and being only five minutes from downtown made everything easy. The house was comfortable and ideal for our group. The open living and kitchen area gave us plenty of space to relax while feeling cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the spacious dining area with lake views accommodated everyone. We played pool, shuffleboard, cards, and other games all week and kept a fire going. The bedroom layout worked well. The main house had three bedrooms, and the bunk house was a bonus, offering extra space, a roomy living area, and a private deck.We spent time outside, even though it was cold for Floridians like us. We enjoyed the covered porch with water views and listened to the dam. Evenings by the lakeside firepit were a highlight, and the dock, kayaks, and paddleboards made it easy to get on the lake. Our pups loved the fenced yard.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax, and we hope to come back in the summer or fall. Be sure to hike Sunset and Sunrise Rock, Ranger Falls, Dry Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. Snow tubing and the Scaly Mountain Screamer (Mountain Coaster) at Highlands Outpost were fun. Grab dinner at Highlands Smokehouse or Highlands Pizza Place.
