Beautifully positioned with a view of the surrounding palms, green mountains, and shimmering skies of Kauai's South Shore, this luxury townhome at Pili Mai is a Poipu experience to remember - and return to.

Pili Mai is scenically situated alongside the Kiahuna Golf Course, a quick stroll from Poipu Shopping Village (where you'll find live Hula dancing and Hawaiian music every Monday and Thursday night) and beautiful Kiahuna Beach. On the grounds are a number of wonderful amenities - a large family swimming pool, a semi-private spa, a private recreational village, a gathering pavilion, a barbecue pit, and lush landscaping at every turn.

This 1,277-square-foot townhouse is spread out across two levels (the second and third), offering a professionally decorated interior, central air-conditioning, and all sorts of thoughtful touches. The open kitchen is fully appointed with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, the living room features new furnishings and a 55-inch flatscreen TV, and the glass doors open to a serene lanai overlooking the mountains. In the mornings, you can sip coffee as you watch the sunrise, then get ready to golf, ride bikes, or walk to the beach - with beach chairs, two bikes, and a cooler provided.

Upon your return each afternoon, you'll be greeted by a private washer/dryer to refresh your swimsuits and towels. Additional amenities include garage parking and free WiFi throughout.

Terrible stay at 1G Pili Mai
My family of 5 stayed at 1G Pili Mai in October 2023 and had a terrible time. The condo was not as pictured, furniture was very stained, bedding was stained and dirty, not enough furniture (tables chairs), tiny lanai with small table. The oven was broken, never mentioned this in the property description- there was a small toaster oven/ air fryer but it was not adequate to cook for a family including a young child. The beds are uncomfortable (way too soft) and the roosters/chickens in the undeveloped land immediate behind 1G are extremely loud. Halfway through our stay the fridge broke in the middle of the night and all of our food was spoiled. We had a frustrating time trying to reach a resolution with Vacasa customer service. Overall we are extremely disappointed and will never book through Vacasa again and would never recommend 1G to any travellers. The pool was nice as it included a great toddler wading pool, and the overall complex was nice, we had other friends staying in a different unit who all had a positive experience. But the location of Pili Mai isn’t great - it’s a far trek to the beach. Unit 1G is extremely overpriced for what you get and needs a lot of maintenance to get it back to a suitable rental option. Book somewhere else.

Great location, but this property needs some TLC
We love staying in Pili Mai, and most units are in above average shape, but 1G was not what I would expect for a luxury rental. Can definitely tell that things have declined since Vacasa took over management. Unit was not in a state of cleanliness when we checked in (stained slipcovers on furniture, hair found on shower walls). We had several light bulbs that flickered or just went out. Shower handle in upstairs master was loose and about to fall off. None of door locks inside the house actually worked. Sleeper sofa bed upstairs was cheap and very uncomfortable. No controls for ceiling fan in upper master. Lack of paper products, and this is the cheapest toilet paper I've seen in a rental unit - think Motel 6 quality. Kitchen was sparsely equipped, and the range did not work at all and couldn't be repaired during our stay. Management did bring a very nice counter-top oven that actually worked well for us. We were told that we'd need to resupply our own paper towels. Come on - two rolls for a 7 day stay with 6 people? Handle to window crank in upstairs bathroom just fell off when trying to close the window. These are all small things that add up and impact overall experience and make us very skeptical of renting through Vacasa ever again!

So So for the price
The rental was very convenient as far as location. The biggest bummer is that there was no AC upstairs. So you walk in and it’s freezing and go upstairs and it was hot. Also for being a vacation rental it would be nice to have some board games or even a deck of cards for guest as it rained one evening and there was nothing in the property. Also the pictures show beach chairs and a cooler, there was no instructions on where they were, just pool towels under recreation. Overall was expecting more for the price..

Great place
We absolutely loved our stay as this home, location and community was just wonderful. The beds were comfortable, there was an abundance of towels and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It would be nice for the home to offer hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels as you end up draping them over doors and such because there is nowhere to hang anything. The pool and BBQ areas were wonderful. Our family of four had a wonderful time.

Perfect room to share with friends
Very clean, there’s upstairs and down stairs for more privacy. There’s a small living room upstairs as well, so it’s perfect for two couples wanting to stay in the same condo but still wanting their own space. Highly recommend this condo, I’ll never be staying at the bigger hotels like Koloa Landing, Hyatt or Sheraton again. Especially since I’ve been spoiled with the big and spacious rooms that Pili Mai has to offer.
