"Escale Détente à Fouras" is a furnished tourist accommodation located in Fouras, a pretty seaside resort on the Atlantic coast from which cruises around Fort Boyard depart.

The house is located 50 m from the beach, 10 minutes from the city center on foot, 25 minutes from La Rochelle and 15 minutes from Rochefort.

Pets are allowed under conditions: only calm cats or dogs that accept cats, a cat must be able to move around in the courtyard) and do not bark at people who pass in the courtyard.PGJyPg

The minimum booking is 7 nights in July and August (from Saturday to Saturday) and 2 nights out of season (for less than 7 nights, booking possible a few days before only, priority being given to stays of one week).

• OPTIONAL cleaning (95 €), if you do not choose it, the house must be as clean when you leave as when you arrive.

• Linen is NOT INCLUDED (except dish towels and bath mats), but available with supplement, to be requested in advance:
- Bed linen (double bed €30, single bed €15)
- Towels €15 per person
• Pets: €30 per pet per stay

FOURAS is a pretty seaside resort, ideal for family holidays with its 4 beaches that change with the tides, including one with a seawater reservoir.
The town centre is warm, with its pedestrian street rich in shops of all kinds, souvenir and designer shops and its 2 covered markets open every day all year round. There are many places to eat (restaurant, creperie, pizzeria, bistro, etc.), oyster huts with the possibility of tasting... but also ice cream parlours and sellers of chichis, doughnuts and other delicacies... A museum, a Geocatching, the little train, a casino, a mini-golf, a sailing school, tennis lessons and many other sports facilities will delight young and old...
Walks along the carrelets on foot or by bike are numerous and the sunsets are unbeatable...
It is from Fouras that cruises around Fort Boyard leave (motorboats, catamaran, kayaking...) and the ferry to the pretty little island of Aix (to be visited only on foot or by bike). La Rochelle, with, among other things, its old port, its magnificent city center and its aquarium is 30 minutes away. The islands of Oléron, Ré are 1 hour away, for walks and swimming with family or friends and the adorable Île Madame can be visited on foot from Port des Barques (45 mins).
Many visits await you in Rochefort (20 mins), the Corderie Royale, the Marine Museum, the Naval Medical School, the Pierre Loti House ...
