Thanks for viewing our listing; one of many properties professionally managed by JonBie Maisons on Daufuskie Island.

First thing to note when planning a trip to Daufuskie Island is there is NO Bridge. To reach our island you must book a ferry, water taxi or come by your own boat. Once on the island you’ll need grounds transport from your arrival dock to your JonBie Maisons vacation home. JonBie Maisons has options listed for both ferry/water taxi and transport providers and will be happy to make recommendations based on your travel arrangements.

We’re excited to host you so please check out the specifics of our home below.

This premium cottage has it all. Situated on beautiful Avenue of Oaks, guests will look to the Atlantic Ocean beach from the front porch and enjoy a serene marsh view from the rear screened porch.. The cottage has a wonderful location, and cottage guests will be just steps away from the pristine Melrose Beach. The interior of the cottage updated for 2024 is open and spacious living/dining/kitchen area that is great for family and friend time. The cottage includes cable television and free WIFI . The kitchen is fully equipped with full size appliances, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and a stocked Coffee/Tea Bar, making meal preparation easy for you and your family throughout your stay - even Holidays! Meals can be enjoyed in the dining area or screened porch.

A washer and dryer is also available to make island life more convenient and comfortable; and there is a high chair and pack & play for your infant and toddler needs.

A golf cart is also included with your booking for your use during your stay. Information for reserving additional carts will be provided at booking. GAS CARTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT ALL JONBIE COTTAGES & VILLAS and Carts are NOT to be used for hauling luggage, groceries, coolers, etc.

This cottage is an owner vacation home and we’re happy to share all that we know of beautiful, special Daufuskie Island.

My family loved the quiet and unspoiled beauty of Daufuskie Island. And the Melrose neighborhood is great. Easy walk to the beach and the Melrose Oyster House.

Beautiful, Comfortable Villa

The whole booking process was very easy. Management was quick to respond to us. The villa was perfect for couples getaway. We walked to the beach every day.

The rental was in very good condition and well-stocked. Hosts were great and took care of a couple minor requests for bikes/beach equipment right away.

Perfect place to stay while visiting Dafuskie!

It was our first trip to Dafuskie. It was the perfect place to stay. Just a very short walk to the beach. Had all the ammenities promised and the owner was great. Welcomed us when we arrived and gave us all the info we needed to enjoy our visit on the island. Highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway

This place was awesome for our family and friends. Very spacious with the perfect amenities. The owner, Kurt, provided us with extra bikes and actually came and met us on our arrival to give us a run down on what there was for us to do on the island. He was awesome!!!! Look forward to staying with them again next summer.

Dafuskie

Dafuskie is a gem! Each time we come to visit or stay on the island we love it. The history, the beautiful beaches, and the people are all wonderful. This home had a beautiful location. It is very close to the beach and you can sit on the porch while listening to the waves.

Hidden paradise

We came for a small bachelorette party and had the absolute best time! The property was very clean and had everything you could need. Tammy and her husband were very responsive and went out of their way multiple times to make sure our stay was wonderful! Even to the point where they made sure we were taken care of at the beach with paddle boards, beach seating and umbrellas. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

Amazing stay, perfect location! Pictures can’t do it justice!

Property managers were outstanding, incredibly thoughtful, kind, and helpful. The property itself far exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and plush and made us feel at home. The view from the back screened porch was so peaceful in the mornings. And the walk to the beach took 2-3 minutes. It’s such a breathtaking area. We will be back and hope to stay here again! It’s a perfect balance of fun and relaxation!

Wonderful cottage!

We enjoyed three nights in this beautiful cottage in Melrose Plantation on Daufuskie Island. The cottage was every bit as nice as the pictures which is rare. Just across the lawn you will find a nice beach, great for sunbathing, looking toward Hilton Head and Harbortown. Located close by is a very nice pool complex you can access (even though it comes with a rather steep fee of $25.00/ day/person.) Daufuskie doesn’t have much to offer in the way of dining and grocery stores are limited to a convenience store level. Having the golf cart available is a much-needed necessity. Tammy at JonBie Maison agency was very helpful and quick to respond.

magical vacation!

Tammy and her husband were very helpful and welcoming, and even told us the best spot for crabbing. There were issues with some pipes (beyond their control!) and they quickly moved us to another house right on the beach. Everything was clean and comfortable, and there were nice touches like popcorn and coffee left for us to enjoy. We loved that there were bikes and a golf cart included, and we had a lot of fun exploring the island. Such a wonderful, much needed vacation!

Love the island life

This was our third trip to Daufuskie, we always rent from Tammy (Jonbie Maison). Her properties are the best and always well maintained, comfortable and well stocked. This property was no exception, our stay was fantastic and we loved the tranquil marsh setting from the back porch. Would definitely stay again!

Not clean - pest control problem

This unit was covered in nasty pest. Roach infested. It wasn’t cleaned - the floors haven’t been mopped in a long time. It was very disappointing. The team was responsive but obviously only do the bare minimum in between stays. We have rentals and would NEVER allow this type of filth. Bring your own cleaning supplies- you are gonna need it.

Great long weekend on Daufuskie

Clean and very well appointed cottage in a quiet area on Daufuskie Island. Easy to get to all area of interest on the island with golf carts and bikes. Great for families.

Secluded quiet getaway!

We were looking for quiet and secluded and we found it. The house was clean and nicely decorated. Very comfortable beds. The beach was just across the street. We wished we had brought a few groceries with us. Not much to choose from on the island. We did find great pizza and tacos. But it was a great time and the island is beautiful. We had everything we needed for the beach even towels.

Home is beautiful and well appointed. Location is close to Ocean and back screened porch is beautiful. Golf cart was a must. Property Manager was super helpful and accomodating.

The back porch was awesome, just some pesky daufauskie bugs ! provided all beach chairs, and wagon, need new pole for umbrella. Beds are comfy, kitchen was small. Love this island really fun and relaxing.

Charming getaway cottage

This duplex cottage was beautiful, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, professionally managed, and just steps from a beach. Everything in the host’s control was top notch. Unfortunately it is located in a resort development which appears to have gone bankrupt years ago (tarps on several roofs, boarded up buildings, closed restaurant). This was a bit of a bummer, but the good side of it is the beaches are not crowded at all. There is not much to do on the island and we probably should have stayed 2 nights instead of 3. Overall though I am glad we went. There is a lot of interesting history - and potential for the future - at Daufuskie.
