The house was spotless and the host provided everything we needed for a great weekend with our UW students. The location is perfect. Easy walks to coffee, restaurants, even campus if you’re adventurous. The streets are tight but parking was not a problem. Highly recommend!

What can I say? Roland was an awesome host. The property was clean and well appointed. The location was convenient to get to downtown Seattle or to the university of Washington. There were plenty of restaurants within five minutes, and we definitely enjoyed the food. The property, according to my daughter, had the nicest bathroom she had ever been in the kitchen was a great space to hang out and enjoy a home-cooked meal. The Internet was fast, we definitely appreciated. The Apple TV connected to each of the two wall mounted flatscreen televisions in each bedroom. The beds were huge, very comfortable, the comforters were warm and the pillows were comfortable to sleep on! You can hear some voices of other guests, but it’s nothing I would complain about. I would definitely stay at Roland’s rental the next time I visit Seattle.

Beautiful house with a comfortable feel of home. Incredible upscale appliances and cookware in the kitchen that was stocked with plenty of cooking essentials to make meal prep easy. House was very clean on arrival and the thoughtful and intentional decor gave the home a historical heartbeat. The host was friendly, helpful, accessible, and reached out several times to ensure we didn’t have any other needs. Thank you Roland!

Nice property. Clean, well maintained. I did not notice in the listing is that there is no living room area. There are two bedrooms, a bathroom, and kitchen with a counter type sitting area with barstools. There is a backyard area with a table and chairs that can be accessed on nice days which luckily we had, but no where for all lounging together and watching a movie. Also this property has very strict rules which I have never seen before in a VRBO property. Checking out one minute past 11 is a charge of 1000. Check out after 12 and it’s 1000 plus an extra night stay. Early check in is the price of another night. Limits on visitors etc. also listing states it sleeps 6 but only has 2 beds. There is mention of an air mattress but I don’t know where it would go for two extra people. Also if you don’t let the host know ahead of time who is staying, even if only one person and still under 6 people , it’s an extra charge. Keeping the tv at a low volume etc. All of the stipulations are not provided until after booking. Would not stay here again due to the amount and types of rules and potential fees of something happening that somehow could cause a late checkout, but it was very clean and we had a nice stay. This property is a house subdivided into multiple units.

The space was fantastic, the bed was SO comfortable, and Rowland was very hospitable! It is obvious that he cares about the little details. He also communicates exceptionally well! We will certainly be staying at The Greenlake Bungalow again!

Roland’s place is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was already in place-kitchen, bathroom, air conditioner, coffee, tea, cream, and welcoming snacks. The house is on a quiet street close to the zoo and Green Lake. Roland exceeded our expectations for communication. Making sure we had everything we needed was a priority of his all week long. We were fortunate to have met and spent time with him in person, a first for any of our vacation rental experiences. I hope we can return again.

The unit was perfect for our family of four. The kitchen had everything one would need to cooking. The besides the lovely bathtub, there is a full shower which was nice. The location was excellent for us as it really was central to everything we wanted to do in Seattle. Street parking was always available and Roland was very communicative. We left our hearts in Seattle and can’t wait to come back!

Great place to stay!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay here for our Seattle vacation. The location near Greenlake was convenient, but also remarkably quiet. Check in was easy and Roland was an attentive host with good communication. Parking right in front was always available. The house was very clean and we appreciated the quality amenities. Although it didn't have a living room or dining room, we felt like we had plenty of space (with 2 teenagers), and enjoyed eating meals in the nicely shaded back patio area. Overall a very nice place, and we'll definitely check to see if it's available if we return to Seattle.

Great home away from home

Wonderful place with all the amenities needed and more for a short weekend getaway to Seattle. Very conveniently located. Roland is a great wonderful host. Will definitely be back.

The bungalow

Me, my best friend, and my 10lb yorkie stayed for almost a week and it was perfect! The apartment is exactly as presented. I loved all of the artistic touches, and all of the color. The beds exceeded our expectations in comfort, and the bathtub was a dream. Plenty of coffee to get our day started, or to wind down on the back patio. The apartment was also centrally located in the city, which made getting around pretty easy. We had a rental, but never lacked a spot to park. We loved our stay, and look forward to coming back!

A sweet retreat…

What an awesome space for a little overnight self care retreat! Fantastic location and an easy walk to lots of great spots for a bite, drink and coffee. Lots of little and big details all handled with care. Fabulous host who was amazingly communicative and kind. Cozy, comfortable, clean, completely sorted with what you need. For the city, it is a tucked away oasis and a great place to decompress. I even did a little work and that was easy too. Appreciated everything about this spot and grateful for a space in the city (I live on a nearby island) to retreat to when needed. Thanks Roland for all of your care and kindness.

Charming neighborhood home

We had a great 5 night stay in this beautiful Wallingford neighborhood Craftsman. Steps from Woodland Park and short drive to UW, downtown and more. Super comfortable 2 bedroom unit and owner pretty much thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, lovely place, and wonderful host!

We loved our stay here while working remotely and squeezing in some fun to see friends who live locally in between after work - along with our two small dogs accompanying us! Roland, the host, was so nice and accommodating and communicative whenever needed without compromising any privacy or personal space! So many beautiful details in the unit - from the Le Creuset collection, the thoughtful well-stocked kitched with spices, coffee, oils, vinegar etc. and dish and cookware of all shapes and sizes to the Pendleton blanket collection, the plants above the large bathtub in the bathroom and the lovely backyard/patio space! In addition, always had a convenient parking spot right in front so no trouble there and the neighborhood was walkable to a grocery store about 10 mins away and also Lyft/Uber convenient to really everywhere we needed to go, would highly recommend and would love to stay again!

What a gem of a place! The location was perfect for getting to the places I needed to go during my stay. Parking qas easy to find on the street. The house was immaculate and the amenities were just what we needed. I will book again if this place is available during my return visit. Roland was very gracious and easy to communicate with.

Mardi Gras celebration

The property is very elegantly furnished. The king beds were beautifully appointed and exceptionally comfortable. The kitchen is exceptional. It has everything needed to make a meal. In our case, this wasn't needed as we cooked and ate our meals at the home of my son. However, it was a pleasure to put our breakfasts together in such a high end kitchen.

Excellent place unless you need a living room

Pictures show how beautiful this place is, beds are awesome, and location is excellent. Host Roland is very nice. If you need more than a loveseat in a bedroom or four stools in the kitchen for a group hang-out space, you might want a spot with a living room.

Great location with a cool vibe

Really enjoyed the property. Classic feel with very nice updates and amenities. Old 4 poster bed in the master was amazing. Huge bathtub was a bonus. There is no gathering or family room which did not affect our stay in the least. Just an FYI.

Beautiful old home in Wallingford

Charming place, very nicely appointed and comfortable. Small complaints - heating is shared and we were too hot in one room and too cold in another, older home so not a big surprise. Bed was very comfortable. Would benefit form a seating area to relax in. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Touring with Van Halen for a year; Backpacking through Eastern Europe; Shaking hands with Bill Clinton over coffee; Rubbing shoulders with the South American elite.

Now I live in Seattle and continue to tell stories through my creative services business.
