Roland runs the Suites like someone who actually understands humans. The unit is stocked properly: Keurig with to-go cups (elite move), eco-friendly kitchen setup, a convection microwave that could probably cook a whole lasagne if I asked, a freezer prepped with ice for whatever you’re drinking, and every streaming option known to current technology. Sound system? Also great.Beds dangerously comfortable.Blue room adorable closet office that made me feel productive even when I wasn’t.Couch the kind you accidentally lose an hour on.Parking is a non-event. Roland checks in once to make sure you have essentials, are warm, or need anything else, then lets you live your life. Perfect balance.It’s the upstairs unit of a duplex. His other rental is below. Fully separate. If you’re a night owl like me, maybe don’t tap-dance at 2 a.m. stick to heavy keyboard strokes. You’ll also hear the other unit’s keypad beep occasionally — charming in a “someone is securely opening a vault” kind of way. But, you feel safe and it’s just a beep - the entry way echoes. I stayed here while my apartment was being resurrected post-flood. Hauled bags, sorted my life, came and went nonstop — no complaints, no drama. Actually was under the weather a bit this stay from all my moving and chaos and I felt totally at ease here to recharge. Felt like home.Roland is now my favorite person in Seattle, and honestly the bar wasn’t low. Highly recommend as top choice and top tier.

From the moment you step inside Roland’s Vrbo, it feels like walking into a space curated by a storyteller with a filmmaker’s eye. Every detail carries intention — the impeccable lighting, the way the windows frame little scenes of the outside world, the sense that someone actually thought about how a guest moves through a space.Roland isn’t just a host; he’s a curator of experiences. The unit is full of these quiet, perfect touches: a collector’s edition set of vintage Bauer dishes from Los Angeles (a true collector’s flex), Pendleton wool blankets displayed like art, and a small office nook tucked neatly into a closet. The beds are ridiculously comfortable, and the kitchen is fully stocked down to the exact glassware you’d want for any drink. He even greeted me with La Roche-Posay cream samples and a diffuser that made the whole space smell like a Washington winter.Throughout my stay, Roland checked in just enough — towels, blankets, whatever I needed — and always with kindness. The space may be small, but it’s perfectly cozy, with more room than I expected and a sense of calm that made me feel instantly at home. I booked my return stay before I even left. Honestly, if I could take this place for a year, I would.In short: Roland’s place isn’t just a rental. It’s a little world of its own — thoughtful, warm, and quietly unforgettable. If you want a stay that feels like a story you get to live in, this is the one.

Fantastic place! Great location in the city, easy parking, very comfy beds and couch. The host, Roland, was very accommodating with our requests and so easy to communicate with and responsive. Would definitely book again.

The Quintessential Seattle ExperienceThis quaint Craftsman bungalow unit is nestled on a beautifully landscaped city lot. You are first welcomed to the property via a spectacular bluestone staircase leading to the front porch entrance. The interior is equally appointed and nicely renovated while maintaining its original charm.We found this home to be comfortable and convenient all around. We enjoyed using the modern kitchenette and relaxing in the attached living/TV room. We also liked having access to the quiet, secluded backyard patio. Still, the winning asset of this property is its walkability to neighboring coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, and the Green Lake community.The owner/host (Roland) was very accessible, attentive, and friendly. Being a skilled tradesman, he continues to make quality upgrades to the interior and exterior of this vintage home. We also appreciated his detailed knowledge of the neighborhood, Seattle institutions, and people. Overall, we found Roland to be an engaged, hands-on owner who takes pride/interest in his home and the comfort of his guests. Loved this location and the place!! Roland was a very accommodating host and was very helpful with suggestions for the area. The beds were comfortable and we loved being so close to Green Lake and the park right there. We were only there one night, so we didn’t use the kitchen, so I can’t speak to that. I highly recommend Roland’s place!

We were in town for the weekend to help a family member move. This VRBO was the perfect place to relax after a few days of hard work. The property was located in an area with plentiful parking which was important to us. The suite was well stocked and very clean. Our host was attentive and responded immediately to any questions that we had. We felt well taken care of. Thank you to our host for a great visit!

Greenlake Suites was a great place to stay in Seattle. Close to downtown, next to a big park with a lake, and on a quiet street. The place was very well stocked and any time we needed anything, Roland took care of it immediately. Would highly recommend.

Lovely stay

Very clean, quiet, and well maintained unit. We stayed in the upstairs 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit in a large home that has several other units in it. Roland was extremely communicative, very responsive and overall, we were quite pleased. We didn’t make any meals but it was well equipped with plenty of dishes, spices, etc if we needed them. The location was fantastic, just a short drive to UW, and we enjoyed walking around Greenlake, going for coffee, etc. would stay here again for sure.

Quaint spot, clean and comfortable

We had a great stay here. The beds were very comfortable and it was such a sweet place! Communication was top notch and could not have wanted more from a quick stay in Seattle as far as location.

The Perfect, Quiet 2BR in Wallingford

I was looking for a quiet place with two beds to spend two weeks in one of Seattle’s northern neighborhoods - some place with a bit of character, within walking distance to pubs and restaurants and not too far of a walk to mass trans if I needed that option. This place fit that bill flawlessly. The living/kitchen area is cozy but bright. It has wooden floors and has excellent warm, modern lighting. The host was supremely attentive and check in was perfect. Everything was clean, there were plenty of towels, and the beds were comfortable. Most importantly the place was quiet.I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone. Book it now before someone else does!

Cozy and comfortably compact

Beautiful, clean, and comfortable with plenty of natural light from the big window in the kitchen/living area. The kitchen has all the basics with coffee and tea, and a large selection of spices and herbs available. The sitting area has a cozy couch. The mattresses and bedding are super soft and comfortable, with natural feeling material. The bonus was the extra large closet turned into an office space---I enjoyed journaling every morning at the desk creatively placed in front of a diamond shaped window. You can also tailor the temperature to your liking with access to a Google nest app. Roland is warm and friendly without being intrusive, and he is easily reached when needed.

Location, location, location!

This is a beautiful craftsman, the owner takes lots of care with small details to make sure we were comfortable.The extras matter, like top-notch, coffee, artful, high-end amenities, and the park nearby is our favorite.My dog especially loves it!

Good location/Easy stay

The Green Lake community is so cute! We enjoyed our stay at Roland's apartment and found it had everything we needed for a 4 day work trip. Roland was very accomodating and nice!

Touring with Van Halen for a year; Backpacking through Eastern Europe; Shaking hands with Bill Cinton over coffee; Rubbing shoulders with the South American elite.

Now I live in Seattle, and continue to tell stories through my creative services business.
