You've found your newest favorite vacation home here in the wonderful Black Hills! Dancing Sky Lodge is a brand new 4,000 sq. ft. custom-built lodge that boasts 6 bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms amazing views and great proximity to the local ATV/snowmobile trail system. No matter the reason you're traveling to the Black Hills, Dancing Sky Lodge has been designed and built for your vacation enjoyment!

Located in the popular Powder House Pass subdivision, you're surrounded by wonderful ATV/snowmobile trails, close proximity to skiing at Terry Peak and a short 15 minute taxi ride into Deadwood! Trail #5 snowmobile trail borders the edge of the property as well! Spearfish Canyon is also just 5-10 minutes away with is great fishing, hiking, and waterfall attractions! Some of the best features of the location are you'll have fully paved roads, hi-speed internet, plenty of parking and an additional overflow parking lot for trailers that everyone in the subdivision has access to. You also get access to the Powder House Pass community clubhouse that includes a game room with a pool table and shuffleboard, outdoor heated pool and splash-pad finished in the summer of 2022.

The lodge has an open concept with the well stocked kitchen, living, and dining room seamlessly coming together for a great place to entertain. There's a sectional sofa, large TV and fireplace completing the main level living area. The Main level living area leads out to the large 600 sq. ft. deck that has a great view of the surrounding forest and hills! You'll have access to a gas grill as well, to enjoy the food while you prepare meals with your friends and family.

The lower level has a fun game room filled with a poker table, foosball table, large TV and full wet bar. The living area also leads out to the lower level patio with a hot tub! It's a great place to enjoy the forest view and relax after long days on the trails!

It was a nice clean home with lots of bedrooms and private bathrooms, it was great! Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils. Everything worked well in the kitchen; we never did figure out how to run the fireplace. We did not have hot water to shower and to hand wash baby items, along with the no water pressure.

The kitchen was well supplied with crock pot, waffle iron and other items needed for a larger group. A large Blackstone provided a great way to cook for our crowd. Check in was painless and communication with Budi was quick and easy.

Beautiful Vacation home in the Hills

The home was amazing with plenty of space. So many extras including hot tub, massive deck, grill and hibachi, game room and more. The kitchen was well stocked. It is a beautiful home with amazing views just miles away from Deadwood. Hiking is just out the door! Would stay again without a doubt!

Beautiful scenery and wonderful place to stay.

Beautiful place to stay and play. This house has everything for everyone to enjoy. Had ages 4 to 47 stay here and had a blast. Used everything during our stay. Gas firepit, hot tub, poker table, community center and all games the house provided at the house. Will do again

Family reunion

We had our annual family reunion in the Powderhouse Pass area. We all had a wonderful and relaxing time with family. We stayed in a beautiful home that had everything we wanted. The view from the back deck was amazing and we spent several nights relaxing by the fire pit. Thank you, Tom

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A group of five couples rented this house for a five day get-away in the Hills. It’s a great house because each bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped, and the grill and Blackstone produced gourmet dinners every night! It was convenient for the places we visited, but for families with small kids, it was not real close to anything. We did not use the community pool, but it looked inviting. The house needs multiple water heaters and new shower heads, but we made it work. It was clean, and the furniture was all up to date. The gas fire pit was great at night, and the hot tub was pleasant. The pantry closet was well stocked with paper products, and there were some spices /cooking spray etc in the cupboards. There was a generous supply of kitchen, bath, and hot tub towels (which is not always the case). We would definitely rent here again if we had a chance.

Ski Vacation

We had a blast staying at this cabin while on a ski trip to Terry Peak. Plenty of room for everyone. Beautiful home with everything you might need and more. Thank you for helping us create some great memories.

We rented two houses close together and this one provided the space for 20 of us to gather for meals and conversation and celebrate 58 years of friendship!😍 A great property for just what we needed for our group!

Black Hills Paradise

Beautiful home in very nice hills community with access to all the fun the Black Hills have to offer. The home was very well furnished and had everything needed to prepare a big Thanksgiving meal. Everyone loved the hot tub which was conveniently located outside the bar and recreation room. We would definitely stay there again.

Large family getaway weekend

The house was very nice and spacious. We had 8 adults and 7 young children that stayed so it can get loud and kind of crazy at times but there was enough space that you didn’t notice to much. The house could have used a nice deep clean and the communal bathroom next to the kitchen doesn’t lock. The kitchen had plastic plates and cups for the kids which was very nice but it would have been nice to have a big pot to make a large pot of soup and a bread knife would be handy. There were many games, books, activities for the kids. Overall we really enjoyed our time!

Get away

The property is beautiful and well stocked. Having six rooms all with their own bathrooms was very nice. It is new and missing a few items and there is construction all around. Access to Lead, Deadwood, Sturgis and Spearfish is easy and convenient. Access to the pool does require you to drive, which was no big deal, once we figured it out.

Great Place!

We stayed here in July 2024 for a multi-family vacation. There were 19 of us ranging from 18 months to 76. The house and the views were beautiful and Budi thought of everything as far as household supplies and general kitchen items, tools, etc. We had a great time with lots of family time and were only a couple of miles from Lead. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone with a large group! Lead
