My name is Betsy. I live here locally in Kansas City, so let me know if you need anything. We have two daughters and we are excited to host you. As a family we enjoy soccer, traveling and Taco Tuesdays.

Our house is set in quant, safe neighborhood. You will be blocks from amazing restaurants (Italian & Mexican food steps away) & coffee shops as well as KU Med. You can walk to the Antique shops in the West Plaza and drive downtown within 7 minutes.

Our Favorite Places in the Neighborhood

• Cupini’s (Italian/fast casual/relaxed dress code)
o Featured on Guy Fieri’s Diner’s Drive-In & Dives
o 4 blocks away
o This food is delicious and if you are lucky you will meet owner Franco…he is like the mayor, if you talk soccer he will love you forever
o Fav dishes: Lasagna, Chicken & prosciutto tortellini and sausage & fennel ravoli
o And they have an unbelievable dessert case – also frozen/fresh pasta to take home

• Rudy’s (Mexican/sit down/very casusal…usually a wait on the weekends)
o 6 blocks away
o The Queso is delicious – (I am a queso connoisseur…just saying)
o Fajitas are pretty fantastic…so generous with the amount of meat
o But the family favorite is the tacos…like my 8yr old daughter could eat 3 of them and they are regular sized. They are just GOOD!

• Café Corozon (Argentinian coffee & pastries)
o 5 Blocks away
o Plenty of seating
o Family owned
o Traditional drinks but also unique drinks with a “Latin” flare
o They have various pastries for the morning however they also sell empanadas & tamales too…all made locally

• Donutology (Breakfast Only)

o Follow their social media and then you will know
o They make tiny outrageous doughnuts
 Perfect for special occasions and just because
o Don’t plan on getting a good coffee here…they specialize in one thing

• Q39 (Barbeque/Casual)
o Super popular, so plan on waiting for a table or take it to go
o Has won tons of awards
o Onion Straws are delicious, Oh and every piece of meat is delicious there too.

o 1 mile away
o Great liquor store, super friendly
o Has ice & snacks
o And will have everything you ever wanted to drink & MORE!

There is plenty of parking. Guests can park in the private driveway or on the street for free. This is a 90 year old house with so much charm; we can't wait for you to enjoy it just please respect it and be kind to our house! There is one camera on the front exterior of the house which is on the doorbell (it records video & voice). Parties are strictly prohibited, and all gatherings are limited to 8 people. If this rule is violated there will be a mandatory fine of $600 for violating the house rules.
