You know you want to be "Out of Office"! Newly updated canal front beach cottage on Sunset Beach Island, one of National Geographic's World's Most Beautiful Beaches. We make it easy to leave your worries behind. Pack your bathing suit, a good book and hit the road. Whether you are relaxing on the screened porch, fishing off the dock in the canal, walking three minutes to the beach for fun in the sun and surf, or golfing at more than 30 golf courses nearby, you will find everything you need for a great vacation.

You have the best of both worlds at Sunset Beach! Leave your car in the driveway. Spend your time exploring the island on foot or two wheels, exploring the wide beach, visiting the Kindred Spirit mailbox, shopping the local artisan street market on Monday mornings (in season) or grabbing a Sunset Slush. Take a quick trip over the bridge to Calabash, "Seafood Capital of the World", to try the one of the many calabash style seafood restaurants and stroll the boardwalk.

Jump in the car for a 30 minute ride to North Myrtle Beach for shopping at Barefoot Landing, an Alligator Adventure, a wine tasting at the Duplin Winery, and a game of mini golf at Hawaiian Rumble. Go a little further and visit Brookgreen Gardens to see the beauty of the South Carolina Lowcountry in full bloom. Stroll through the many sculptures, fountains and flowers, visit the zoo and take a break in the shade of giant live oak trees.

This three bedroom home with a loft comfortably sleeps eight (k, q, 2s, full sleeper sofa). 21/2 baths and an enclosed outdoor shower as well. Over-sized screened porch with seating and dining area overlooks the canal and canalside dock. Plenty of off street parking. High speed 5g wireless internet, smart tv's and well equipped kitchen. Full size washer and dryer. Beach gear including chairs, roller cart, umbrella provided. High chair, pack n play, and portable bassinet on site.

Fantastic Stay

We had a great week at Sunset Beach. The house was as advertised with the only surprises being pleasant ones. Nice porch overlooking the canal so while the house was not oceanfront it was a waterfront property. The hosts were hands off but left us with plenty of options to contact them if needed.

Great 2 Week Stay

The arrival and departure process were super easy! The host’s communication was fast and reliable. The house was very clean and well equipped. We have been coming to Sunset for 20 years and this house/location is at the top of our list. The walk to the beach was convenient and the 8th street beach access is the best! Thank you for everything!

Great location

We enjoyed this beach house and the location near the beach access. We walked for coffee or ice cream every day. Communication was easy. Well equipped kitchen. We wish the kitchen had been larger for our group that all helps prepare meals. Outdoor area was great for fishing and eating. Loved meals on the screened in porch.

This rental was great. It has everything you need. My favorite was the large back porch with plenty of seating. I spent most of my time there when I wasn’t at the beach. We would definitely rent this place again.

Love the canal!

Loved the location on the canal and the kayaks available for use! It was a nice early morning adventure for the teenagers:). The house had everything we needed. Kitchen is very well stocked! The host was very responsive when I reached out. We had a great family vacation!

Perfect for those who like a quieter beach town

This home is set up to allow you to do all the "beachy" things, but not deal with the traffic of a Myrtle Beach or other large tourist destination. I spend hours on the screened porch. We watch the birds and marine life over the canal, kayak, and go to the beach. Rinse off outside, and repeat the next day.

Turnkey Setup

Traveling with 3 small children is challenging and this home checked every accommodating box for kids. ALL beach gear provided, pack n play, and high chair saved us plenty of packing space. Will visit again.

Super Duper beach house!

This was by far the nicest Sunset Beach house we’ve ever rented. It is lovely, well maintained, and in a great location. I call the closet in the garage the “magic closet” because it contained everything you need for a great beach stay, from bicycles and beach chairs to a wading pool for the tiniest toy. We entertained family and had plenty of cooking and entertaining items. Superb!

Best Week!

We loved our stay here and could not have asked for a better location and home! The home is clean, inviting, and updated! Space was ample for our group. We loved the porch and canal/dock access as well as all of their beach supplies! The owners were super accessible and helpful. We would definitely recommend renting a golf cart to enjoy the island in the evenings! Can’t wait to come back again! Would 10/10 recommend renting this house!

Everything you need in this house !

Beautifully equipped and updated property with private dock (and all equipment included ) in Sunset Beach . We just had a fantastic week at our favorite beach in what is probably the best house we have stayed out down here (been coming here since childhood). We used the kayaks , crab trap and beach stuff -- very helpful to not have to bring chairs , wagon and umbrella-- left us room in the car for our golf clubs . We loved this house , super clean and again , everything is included !

Everything You Need and More

This is a great property that comes with everything needed for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, toys/games, body boards, buggy/cart, beach towels), house (kitchen is well-equipped to cook, bathroom towels, bed linens), bikes, kayaks, grills, etc. A very nice indoor space (plenty of seating, also includes a few games, puzzles, and books), and an awesome screened-in deck overlooking the canal. Location is great, with a very short walk (2-3 minutes) to the closest beach access boardwalk. We had a wonderful week!

Only the weather was lacking

Great set up for family with kids old enough to stay upstairs. Plenty of linens and beach towels. We used the kayaks once: don't plan to paddle in/out at low tide. Heat warning for 3 days, so we went to the beach after supper. Didn't use the kitchen much (mom on vacation, too), but everything seemed to be there when I looked around. Love screened porch, and kids love hammock.

Fantastic property!

This property is a home run. We have been vacationing at Sunset Beach for over 30 years and this house was easily one of the top 5 we have rented. The owners have taken great care to equip the property with everything needed while on vacation. We needed to get in touch with the owners a couple times (prior to and during our vacation) - each time the owners were quick to respond. We enjoyed our time on the beach (5 minute walk), walks to Bird Island and the east end of the island, biking around the island, fishing and crabbing off the dock, and just relaxing and spending time with our family. Sunset Beach is such a wonderful place to visit! Overall, we were extremely happy with our experience and would definitely rent this property again.

We had PERFECT stay at Out Of Office. It is a beautiful home, SUPER clean and relaxing. I have been going to Sunset Beach since I was a kid and this was my favorite house and location I have ever had. The owners thought of everything to make your stay comfy and relaxing. The swing and hammock were a big hit under the house, as well as, the Ping Pong table. We spent many nights and mornings relaxing with our kids on the awesome porch looking out over the canal. We will DEFINITELY be back to Out Of Office!

The PERFECT place for Sunset Beach!

These property owners nailed it. The perfect NC decor. The amentities were all covered. UNLIKE the majority of rentals in Sunset Beach where you are required to rent everything, these property owners provided EVERYTHING. As VRBO owners ourselves, it's always been a very frustrating part of visiting Sunset Beach, but this was a BIG breath of fresh air. Linens, towels, grills, beach chairs, kayaks, bikes, ALL provided, no additional renting or hassles to deal with. This is vacation and should feel that way, no work, and this place came through flawlessly. Would absolutley rent here over and over and over.

Just what we needed

The house was very nice and priced reasonably. Everything we needed during our stay was provided. We had one question during our stay and Bramley responded quickly. The screened in porch was the favorite gathering place for our family members staying in other nearby houses. We made many family memories together during our stay. I would highly recommend staying in this beautifully decorated house !
