Avoid the Saturday arrival/departure chaos with Sunday to Sunday peak season rental. Be confident in your choice with a consistently 5-star rated home that is well cared for, well stocked, and well located on the island.

Completely renovated in 2022. New everything, including kitchen, baths, flooring, paint, furniture and dock. Great canal location with new dock for fishing, boating or jet skis, and don’t forget your kayaks, paddleboards and floats. New kayak launcher installed Spring 2023, makes getting in and out of the kayak oh so easy. Kayaks and life jackets available for use with waiver. New in 2025 - under house entertainment zone with comfy furniture and bar area.

Enjoy morning coffee watching the sun rise over the canal and the evenings on the crow’s nest for the most spectacular sunsets in Sunset Beach! Short 2 block walk to beach. Four beds, each with their own en suite bath, and loft with daybed and trundle provide sleeping for up to 12. The loft is a great separate play space for kids or adults.

From sunrise atop the crows nest to paddling off the canal dock - and everything in between -all the features of this vacation house and it’s location kept the FUN in function and truly felt like home. This beautiful house is well-appointed inside and out - cozy not cramped, comfortable not cavernous! The hosts are thoughtful and responsive. Would definitely book again!

Sunset Perfection

Best time at Sunset Beach in years! Tracey could not have been more helpful, gracious, and accommodating. She also predicted great weather for the week and she was spot-on! The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable, spotless, and well appointed. The canal was quiet and the dock had a kayak launcher. We will be back as a family next year!

An Excellent Stay!

Upon arrival, we were happy to see that it was as beautuful as pictured and described, if not more! There was plenty of space for the teenage cousins in the bunk room, spacious king and queen bedrooms for the couples and extra sleeping space in the large loft as well. Many enjoyed the dock and kayaking as well. Really appreciated the quick replies, friendliness and hospitality given by the host Tracey as well! Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful home with a place to dock our boat

Home was clean and beautiful. House layout was convenient. Plenty of space for the kids to play on the rainy days. Dock was nice and we were able to tie our boat off to the dock.

Most excellent Sunset Beach home on canal

From the very start the experience with the owner was thoughtful, kind, and prompt. The home was so well for our large family who cook all meals at “home”. A very convenient walk to the beach and back door access to the canal to kayak, fish, crab if desired! This home is at the top of our list!

Great place for our 4 grandsons.

House was very nice and had everything we needed. Was unusually cold so we spent most time in the house. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 boys 11 and younger. Great table for dining and games. The loft was reserved for the boys! They enjoyed having their own place. You do have to bring your sheets and towels or rent. We used Care Linen service and the items were good quality.

Sea Potential

We have taken our family vacation at Sunset Beach for the past 8 years. Due to the growth in the number of grandchildren, we have stayed at 5 different houses, and Sea Potential has been the best without question. Clean, with lots of extras that you don't normally get. Owner was very courteous and prompt with response to questions. Highly recommend.

Perfect house and location for family gathering

Sea Potential was perfect for our family reunion of 7. There is plenty of room for everyone, different rooms for spreading out, room for the kids to play and a back porch for relaxing while looking over the canal. Location was perfect! Easy walk to beach or Main Street. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cutlery, plates, glasses. And Sunset Beach is a favorite of ours: no high rises or condos. Just lovely beach and breezes.

Time Together

Lovely place to pay tribute to our mother who loved nothing more to spend time at Sunset Beach with family. Comfortable and clean house with easy access to beach, kayaking, fishing and restaurants. Super porches and outdoor space too. We could not have asked for a better house or weather!

Sunset Beach Sea Potential

Our family of 10 (8 adults and 2 infants) had a glorious time at Sea Potential on Sunset Beach, NC. Our trip was shortly after Labor Day, so still great summertime weather and water temps, but with smaller crowds. Tracey, the host, was so amendable and answered every question we had very quickly! The house had everything we needed: a well stocked kitchen (with plenty of pots, pans, and a blender), floating dock to park our small fishing boat and for crabbing (we brought our own crab trap), a crow’s nest to view sunsets, screened in porch for sunrise coffee, an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach, and kayaks for paddling in the canals. We also rented a golf cart for the week and had a blast touring the entire island on it. Two in our group have bad knees, so having the golf cart made transporting everyone (and all the gear needed for infants) to and from the beach easy peasy! Our entire group had a FANTASTIC time! We hope to return to Sea Potential next year or perhaps even sooner!

My husband and I have four boys, ages 18-37 and two beautiful daughter-in-laws. Our first visit to Sunset Beach was in 1998 and we've never had need for another beach. We especially like sharing Sunset Beach with first time visitors and love seeing them fall in love with our little piece of heaven.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Our family has been enjoying Sunset Beach for more than 20 years. We bought on the ocean front back in 2013 but yearned for boat access so we sold our interest in the ocean front property and purchased this house on the canal. We've spent the better part of the last 2 years fully renovating the house, adding the crow's nest and loft, an additional upstairs bathroom, increasing the size of the master bath and updating with all new finishes and appliances. It has been a labor of love and the house is now everything we dreamed it could be. We named the house "sea potential" when we first purchased it because we could "see" the potential. The house had good "bones" and a great location for our watersports and equally important - an easy, quick walk to the beach. We hope you enjoy Sea Potential as much as we do!

Sea Potential is fully renovated, unlike many canal rentals. The canal location is great for those who want to bring a boat, jet skis or paddleboards. Kayaks are available for renters to use. Fishing or crabbing off the dock is always a fun activity for the kids.

The screen porch, two back decks and crow's nest offer so much outdoor space to enjoy the views and fresh air.
