Mountain Getaway, just 6 miles away from town!

Our house sits on 5 acres with expansive views of the mountains. Perfect getaway with friends and family and reconnect with nature but still close to town. The master bedroom and the 2nd bedroom are very spacious, the sunroom has a queen bed that is perfect for stargazing. The oversize deck and the fully equipped chef's kitchen will not disappoint!

EV charger on site. Large oversize driveway for convenient and private access for your SUV, Trucks, RV and/or sporting activity vehicles like boats and side by sides. .

We are about 6 miles away from downtown Grass Valley and Nevada City.

Rollins lake, Yuba River, and Scott’s Flat are close by too! If you are adventurous there’s plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and swimming close by.

We are about an hour from Donner Lake, Truckee, and Tahoe.

Great place to stay during a week of appts and meetings ranging from Tahoe to Sacramento. We were busy and moving all week but always knew we would have a chill and relaxing space to return to.

We have been coming to the Grass Valley area for family vacations for years. Mostly VRBOs and this one of our best stays yet. We 100% want to stay again and hope it’s available for our next visit!! MT was one of the best hosts we have had yet!!

Tree Top Hideaway

Mi’s place is incredible! The view is gorgeous! What a wonderful space. The bedrooms are very spacious and the most comfortable beds ever!!The kitchen is every cooks dream. Everything to prepare a meal has been thoughtfully supplied. The dogs really enjoyed relaxing in the sun on the deck and so did we. We loved visiting our favorite shops and pizza place in Nevada City. I would highly recommend Mi’s place if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing space to stay in Grass Valley..

Lovely Galentine's Weekend

We were looking for someplace to spend a girls' weekend that was halfway between my best friend's house in Reno and my house in Fairfield. This beautiful home in Grass Valley was just the ticket! This home is well-appointed, spotlessly clean and very cozy and comfortable. The living areas and bedrooms/bathrooms were large with plenty of storage, comfortable furniture and large "mama bear" beds. The kitchen had everything you can possibly think of to cook/bake delicious meals. The view and properly were beautiful, quiet and serene. We experienced two large deer grazing when we arrived. At night we could hear frogs and crickets from the neighboring ponds. My friend's daughter brought up her high-end camera and took amazing pictures at night while stargazing. We watched movies on the provided streaming services and played games that were available in the house. Our host, Mi, was extremely communicative and accommodating. If I emailed her a question, I had an answer in about 15-20 minutes. All in all, this was the perfect spot for us gals to regroup, relax and enjoy some down time. Thank you, Mi!

Extended Stay was Beautiful!

Beautiful CLEAN home. Open view from deck, quiet with beautiful surroundings. Bed and bedding was soooo perfect and comfortable. Sunroom was excellent in the afternoon sun (we stayed during winter). All aspects of the house are CLEAN and kitchen is well appointed with cookware and spices. Close to town. Mi is an excellent host with excellent communication. Everything we needed was at the house! I want to live in her house full time- haha! We look forward to a return visit! THANK YOU MI!

You will want to live on the back deck!

My husband and I stayed with our 3 dogs at this beautiful mountain home. It was so quiet and relaxing. They have thought of everything one might need plus many extras. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with any and all cooking options. The laundry room is very large and organized although we didn't need it this trip. The beds/linens were so comfy as are the living room seating options. We never turned on the TV but it looks like it is a great set-up. I could spend all day and night on the back deck. The stars are incredible after about 9pm and the smell of the pines is fantastic.

Beautiful Property & Home

This home was beautiful, comfortable, and off the beaten path, which is something that I really value. If you want something quick and easyand walking distance or skipping distance to GV or Nc, this one might not be the one for you. It’s a bit of a jaunt. No complaints on the property or the home, it was gorgeous.

Relaxing Retreat

Mt Getaway is truly a perfect retreat. The deck offers a beautiful mountain view where we spent mornings and evenings relaxing and visiting with a family member. The home is off the beaten path and has a secluded feeling in a beautiful wooded setting - yet it’s close enough to Grass Valley & Nevada City to enjoy daily excursions. Every detail in the home is tastefully done and lovely - from the furnishings and decor to the comfortable bedding, linens, games and books. It is spacious, comfortable and has a fully-stocked kitchen. Everything you could possibly need is thoughtfully provided by the host. We highly recommend this VRBO home!

Could stay here forever!

We we're all thoroughly impressed and didn't want to leave! :-p The pictures truly don't do this rental justice. The kitchen island/gas stove range made preparing family dinners extra special, as we could sit around the island, chat, and help each other without overcrowding the "chef" in charge. Plenty of pots, pans, and there's even a crockpot! The kitchen sink looks out onto the deck with a calming, serene view. All of the deco, furniture, lighting, shades, ceiling fan, lights are modern and chic. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Loved the real plants. The tub in the primary bedroom is adorable, loved the vintage tile. The deck! The (enormous) deck is the true winner, sporting stunning views of the beautiful foothill woods. Big comfy couch chairs and couch to stargaze. Saw a handful of shooting stars! Wished there was a canopy or umbrella, but we may have stayed too early in the season for it to be on the deck. No biggie as the temps were in our favor. Another winner is how dog friendly this spot is. Our pups lived their best lives during our stay and their favorite part was sunbathing on the deck. :) We hope to stay at this gem of a rental as soon as possible!

Privacy with town access

Came to visit CA friends and enjoy area Christmas festivities. The house provided a well appointed kitchen which we took full advantage. Scenery is stunning from the deck and enclosed sun room. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The small towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City were fun to visit with lots of shops, restaurants, and Christmas decorations. Everyone we met was extremely friendly. I recommend a visit .

Wonderful house and patio!

This property is really a great find. The space is very open and all furniture is high quality. Also one of the nicest and best-stocked kitchens I've had in a rental. The highlight is a beautiful patio space that is lovely for dogs and humans alike. The only con: there is a pretty big problem with a pack of dogs that roam this neighborhood and harass everyone. You can't go on walks with your animals and if you are afraid of dogs I would stay away from this one, as they are not friendly and are under no sort of control.

Family wedding

The house was very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the dishes, utensils, and pans needed. Beds were very comfortable! The views were amazing and the host was very responsive. We would stay here again if we were ever in the area.

Great stay in Gold Country

We loved our long weekend in Gold Country, both Nevada City and Grass Valley were great and the house is 15 minutes way from both. The porch was fantastic and the house was spacious and well-equipped. Would come back!
