Wonderful stay

This was our third time staying at this home. It’s clean, comfy beds and bedding, fully remodeled and filled with state of the art everything. Walking distance to so much and short drives to even more. Trish is amazing. We will be back!

Super cute bungalow in a great location, easy to walk to everything in downtown Grass Valley. The house was very clean and we wish we could have brought our dog because the yard is perfect for dogs. Next time when we don't fly. Check in instructions were easy and there was lots of information provided about the area and restaurants. The kitchen is updated with adequate cooking items. We were in town for a wedding so wish there was a full length mirror but otherwise the house was perfect. Thank you!

What an absolutely delightful stay!This adorable little gem exceeded all of our expectations. The space was incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully appointed - everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.The location is simply unbeatable! Just one block from Main Street, we were able to walk everywhere - exploring the wonderful variety of restaurants, cozy bars, and charming local shops. It felt like we had the whole town at our fingertips while still enjoying a peaceful retreat.The combination of comfort, character, and convenience made this the perfect home base for our Grass Valley Family Reunion. We’re already planning our return visit – this will definitely be our go to spot whenever we are in the area.Thank you for sharing your lovely space with us. We felt right at home in the heart of Grass Valley.The host was very thorough in providing everything we needed throughout the property and made it easy to settle in. We didn’t have to ask for anything while we were there. The amenities like sheets, towels, beds are of high quality. The kitchen is well equipped. There was a grill for us to use as well. We plan to come back and would highly recommend it to friends.

Adorable, comfortable, modern and stocked with things you wouldn't expect; all in a great location.

The house is fully remodeled and shiny clean. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. There is a wonderful backyard and front porch. The kitchen has all new appliances and is stocked with anything you'd need for cooking. We've stayed twice, once in the winter and again in summer; we were kept toasty in the winter and cool in the summer. The property is in a great location; you can walk to a variety of restaurants and shops in Grass Valley's wonderful downtown district (there's even a great Escape Room venue). Just a short drive to the Yuba River, Scott's Flat Reservoir for swimming and paddling, the Empire Mine State Park as well as the Fairgrounds and also a short drive to winter skiing. We had an extended stay so the short drive to additional commercial shopping was also helpful. The owners are wonderful, very friendly and accommodating, as well as extremely responsive. We will continue to make this our place to stay in Grass Valley.

Great Getaway

House is clean and quiet, plenty of space for 2-4 adults.Love being in walking distance to downtown shops/restaurants. Has all the amenities--great bathroom with plenty of linens, dishes and full kitchen. Host is helpful and responds quickly to any requests/questions.

Best bookings in Grass Valley!

We visit family in GV about twice a year. Trish always comes through to accommodate our needs with Short and Sweet Retreats. This trip was no exception staying in this adorable , comfortable and convenient location We love being able to easily walk downtown and to have a great place to relax and sleep. Family Trip

The Adorable downtown bungalow was clean and well-apportioned with space for both my brother and I. Had everything we needed for cooking as we had a longer stay. Conveniently located just one block off Main. Neighborhood was quiet at night. Very pleasant house/property with outdoor space to enjoy coffee in the morning on the front porch or back yard. Host was very helpful and responsive to messages. Would definitely stay here again.

Wish our stay had been longer!

The bungalow is a short walk from downtown, which was the perfect way to experience Grass Valley. The home was the perfect size for our family (2 adults, 1 baby, and a dog). Trish was very quick to respond to texts and checked in on us via phone to make sure everything was going well. The bungalow was nicely renovated and fully furnished. It had really nice light in the morning. We stayed in November, so the heater was a must, and it kept us warm. We would definitely stay here again!

Adorable It Is!

We frequently visit GV for family and this rental is so convenience to downtown shops and restaurants. Check in is easy. Little problems with some old doors but it did not bother us. My little one enjoyed that there was a separate bathtub from the shower.

Adorable Downtown Bungalow - Stayed with a pet.

We fully enjoyed our stay at the Adorable Downtown Bungalow. The location cannot be beat. It is a short walk to downtown Grass Valley, as well as, one of the most popular breakfast spots in town. The bungalow is well stocked with everything you will need for your stay. It is also exceptionally clean and comfortable. Trish has done a wonderful job updating the house, but also keeping its charm intact. We brought our dog with us and the yard was spacious and fully fenced. The next time we are in Grass Valley, we plan to stay at the bungalow again.

Beautiful gem of a stay

We were so delighted with the charm, comfort and amenities of this cottage. It was located so close to town that we could walk everywhere and we were quite comfortable there. The fenced yard was a big bonus so I was able to bring my senior dog and hang out at the patio table in the evenings. Would definitely return!

Nice stay

Nicely rehabbed bungalow with modern updates while keeping some original decorative touches. Trish is very accommodating and responds quickly. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Only drawback is some road noise at night, but the bedroom fans helped provide 'white noise'.
