Great location and grounds

This was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. The location and the grounds were very good. When we arrived there was no ice and the ice maker didn't work. I called the property management but never heard anything after. I wasn't a big deal to buy our own ice since Circle K is right next door but I do expect there to be ice in the condo. Other suggestions I would make would be to update to a more beachy theme and colors and invest in all cotton sheets. Overall great place.

Loved our stay

Pictures advertised are spot on and look exactly the same in person. Awesome views & just walk across the street and you’re on the beach. you do have extra changes for parking. We stayed 5 days & it was $50. But the condo and location is well worth it. We will definitely stay here again and have already recommend to our friends.

Great family vacation

Our family of 5 has been to Galveston before but this was our first stay at The Dawn. Great location- away from action but doesn’t feel isolated and close to all places we wanted/needed to go. Loved that our condo has a washer/dryer. Kids loved both pools. No complaints!

Nice place near ocean

The condo was nice and clean, some usual beach wear and tear. A few things to note - it is directly on Seawall so the morning and late afternoon road noise during the week is really loud. You cannot hear it with the windows closed though. The screen door really needs to be replaced - you can't even close it. My biggest concern were the towels! We were on a two week vacation visiting a lot of different sites and traveling from California. We didn't have room in our air luggage to pack towels. The unit had no beach towels and you couldn't even use the towels provide in the pool onsite!! It seems like a very inexpensive amenity to provide. Also, having to go to two different places to check in was more work than our neighbors who had a key code to get in. All in all the property is very well maintained, the pools really clean.

This is our new favorite place to stay on the island. We will stay at the dawn 625 again!! Comfy bed, great view, close to everything.

Beautiful views right across from the beach!

Beautiful views, great beach access, very nice pools! The check-in and check-out process was a bit cumbersome. The pull out sofa bed was too uncomfortable to be slept on. But the unit was clean and in a good location.

Last minute getaway

So we had Thanksgiving plans that changed and our family was looking for somewhere to go last minute to get out of Colorado to see the ocean. The property was perfect because you could literally walk out your door and across the street and have beachfront access. It was really close to the grocery store gas stations and restaurants as well. The nice thing about this property was at least the time we went the other portions of the beach were busy but on this section it was rarely with two or three families on it. It was amazing to be able to sit on the patio and watch the sunrise and sunset on the ocean .

Nice Mini Vacation

We enjoyed our stay and will be back again. The condo was clean and had everything you need. It was nice waking up to the ocean view. The only issue was the TV in the bedroom didn’t work and we kept wanting to watch the news due to storm IDA in the gulf.

very out dated and in dis repair

we had to go and memory foam topper for the bed it was so bad the springs stuck through. we bought foam cups and paper cups because the dishes were sticky. Also we bought a coffee pot to be safe. no trash bag liners only. the floors were not clean. The TV in the bedroom did not work at at all. the furniture had not been dusted probley in a year. Really?

The location and view is very nice

The property was nice. Not a 5 star condo, but the view and location is very good! The management company charges you an additional parking fee of $38. And you have to go to two different places to check in. It is not convenient. Should have included the parking charge in the price and check in needs to be easy! Especially for such a short visit!

Vacationing made easy.

Absolutely loved everything about our stay. Great room, great location. Very nice experience. Came in one Saturday night and around 10:30 to find the air conditioner not working properly. Called it in and a repairman was sent right out and had it working by midnight. Thank you for a wonderful time, will definitely use again.

Summer getaway

We go to Galveston every summer and have stayed many different places. I would not recommend staying at the Dawn. You have to park really far away from this condo and have many stairs to take. We have small children that can't carry their own luggage and it was really hot. Parking is quite far away. We arrived at this condo and there wasn't any A/C. Ryson resolved the problem by moving us, but we still had unloaded our vehicle and unpacked the suitcases before we realized that it wasn't going to get cool. Again, we only stayed at this condo for a couple of hours. The condo itself is very nice, if the A/C is working.
