Start your day with coffee on the deck listening to wildlife and end it relaxing in the spa hot tub or making smores with the family by the fire. The cottage is 1 mile from Bailey's point and 3 miles from State Park. Stop at Buccee’s on your way here and be sure to take a day trip to Mammoth Cave and Ky Down Under.

We had a lovely stay at the lake house! It was a wonderful way to spend our vacation. I would highly recommend it. It was very family friendly and great for our young kids.

Cozy Lake Retreat

The PERFECT weekend getaway!

This place was so perfect for a romantic weekend getaway! From a seamless check-in, soaking in the hot tub, enjoying the beautiful views of the lake and relaxing country-side walks- this place is sure to impress! Would be perfect for a family with children (lots of games) or weekend with 2-3 couples! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wonderful weekend at the lake

Cabin was perfect for our weekend. Stay with friends we hadn’t seen in a while. The fire pit area was wonderful to sit around and enjoy the fall weather. Every detail had been thought of. We enjoyed every aspect of the weekend as our friends.

Fall break

We had an amazing time at the rental. My family chilled in the hot tub, made s’mores by the fire pit, went tubing on the lake and had “Pages Pizza”for dinner. It was such a fantastic time.

Quaint home, quiet stay

The home was quaint and the neighbors were mostly quiet. The location where you could see the lake from the back yard was nice, but there is no way to get to the lake from the actual yard. It’s a steep drop. This area is not secluded, and there were neighbors on both sides. One was doing yard work that woke us up the first day. This is an old home that has been renovated, but it has a nice feel to it. The premium price as compared to other places is likely the hot tub, though. The communication was mostly pleasant. I fixed an issue where the garbage disposal had a bunch of bottle caps inside and let the owner know about that and a couple other minor things that were not an inconvenience before I left. I also asked if I could water the plants since it wasn’t raining, and took care of that. However, the last message was received the day after checkout, where the owner asked if we “maybe packed some of her towels,” which is going to come off to anyone as an accusation of theft. We did our best to leave the place better than we found it despite a $150 cleaning fee, and that was the last thing I was left with.

Perfect Get Away

This property is lovely!!! We had a group from 3 different families and the space was perfect. The house has something for everyone and the location is fantastic! One day, a part of the group went horseback riding while the others went golfing. Another day, we all visited Mammoth Cave and had a wonderful day. This cabin is simply perfect for whatever type of adventure and relaxing that you are looking for.

Lovely little house

The house was cute and clean. It’s obvious that the owners take care of their property. The hot tub was wonderful and we also used the fire pit. While it’s on a lake there are no steps or dock to access it from the property.

Awesome get away

This house had everything that we needed for multiple generations. The location is a bit far from some things, but the view is worth it. The house is very clean, the beds are comfortable, the fire pit is awesome, and the sun room had entertainment for the whole family. I would definitely recommend this place

Wonderful Place

This was a wonderful house to just getaway. The view was divine and the owners' thought of everything anyone could need to enjoy their stay. The place was immaculate and the owners' were prompt and responsive when we encountered any need to ask them a question. We will definitely be returning to stay here!!!

Christmas get away

We spend a family weekend away before Christmas every year and this was the perfect place. Away from the hustle and bustle, and very relaxing. Home was clean and well stocked. We had a great stay!!

We enjoyed our stay and all the little personal touches. It would have been nice to have some firewood to start off with and lack of hot water in master bath was a small issue. The inside back door was not lockable. But our stay was a 5 star stay. Loved the view. Thanks Gil

Fantastic quiet lakeside cabin

We drove all the way from Nebraska. Immediately when we walked in we felt welcomed. Such a beautiful quiet cabin right on the lake. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch. Our daughter was also very entertained by all the games and coloring books, you guys have really thought of it all! The communication with the owners was fantastic! If I had a question or concern they answered immediately! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us! If we make it back this way we would love to stay again!

PERFECT STAY!

This was a great find...an adorable lakeview home in a quiet, beautiful area. We needed a short relaxing getaway and found it here. The home is decorated with the perfect balance of ammenities and "extras" to pamper guests and make them feel welcome. The beds were comfy, the master bathroom was amazing, and the coffee bar had everything we needed. The favorite gathering place for us was the enclosed porch in the evenings where we enjoyed cards & conversation. A few miles away we found a great buffet, a shopping area, and spent a day hanging out on a pontoon on the beautiful Barren River Lake. Soooo relaxing!!! Thank you to owners, Cynthia & Trent, who were just a text away, and kept in touch with us making sure everything was good for our stay. So glad we found you & your place. We would not hesitate to visit again!!

Fantastic family getaway

Coming from Chicago we were looking for a fun new adventure. This was the perfect place to stay. What a gorgeous home. Clean and a so charming. Cynthia and Trent thought of everything from the kitchen to the hot tub, family games and a fire pit for s’mores. What an amazing stay. You are away from it all while still be right on the river and close to a lot of fun excursions. Would recommend this place ten out of ten times.

Quiet and private

The house was lovely and perfect for our group. The 4 season/game room made riding out some inclement weather a blast. There are too many thoughtful touches to mention, but if you love wildlife and relaxing, this house is perfection.

Fabulous

This lake house cottage is perfect! It was super clean upon our arrival and was such a cozy place for our family time. The game room is fabulous and the kitchen is very well stocked. The hosts were so accommodating. We enjoyed area attractions and spent our evenings cooking dinner and either soaking our tired bodies in the hot tub or enjoying smores made in the back yard fire pit. I would highly recommend this property for a stay in the Kentucky area.

Cynthia and I bought this cottage in April of 2022. We bought it in order to create memories with our children that will last a lifetime. The time that we are not enjoying the cottage ourselves, we are offering it to others to make their own memories. We have dreamt of doing this for years and our dream finally came true. Last Fall we added a second deck with a new hot tub. The lake view from the hot tub is undeniable during the day. The lights around the hot tub, looking up at the stars in the evening sky is nothing less than magical.

Amazing views! Low traffic area located at the end of a quiet street. There is so much to see and do in the area, be sure you have planned on staying for plenty of time. The State Park resort offers horseback riding, a beach, hiking trails & an 18-hole golf course. Day trips from the cottage include Beach Bend Amusement Park, Bowling Green, Nashville, TN, National Corvette Museum, Kentucky Down Under, Mammoth Cave National Park, and Louisville, Ky. For the adult Bourbon lover...you MUST hit the BOURBON TRAIL!
