This vacation home has the location dreams are made of, perched on the bluff above the Blue Pacific Ocean in the resort community of Princeville on Kauai's legendary North Shore. Enjoy watching honu (turtles), dolphins playing around, and whales during the winter season, not to mention the winter surf that Kauai is legendary for. Time it right, and you could see up to 40-foot waves crashing on the shore below.

With recent improvements throughout, Pali Ke Kua 209 features a primary bedroom with a king-size bed, a guest room with a queen-size bed, and a loft with two twin-size beds. Use the free WiFi to post your best memories to your social media. There is a fully equipped kitchen that includes a dishwasher and the private washer/dryer will ensure everyone looks their best during your stay. The bathrooms feature beautiful granite and marble. There is a comfortable lanai for resting or dining while enjoying the sunset behind the majestic Bali Hai.

This property features an on-site restaurant for lunch and dinner. There is also a trail down to Hideaway Beach. Also located within walking distance of the Princeville Hotel where unique dining, shopping, and entertainment can be enjoyed. Stunning view. Perfect for two couples and a few kids. The climb down to Hideaways beach was difficult backpacking the baby but worth it! Wow the snorkeling. We made breakfast every day and headed out to some 4 hour hikes on the non beach days. The place was clean and well supplied. We ended up adding another night because it was available. I would stay there again on next trip.

We really enjoyed this unit. The view from the balcony is spectacular. We really liked the extra loft area with the twin beds for the kids so the living area wasn't taken over by teens sleeping their vacation away. There is a paved, steep path down to the beach/coast right near the unit, however the beach isn't really usable in that area as it's quite rocky. Best to drive to other beaches, but still makes for a nice morning walk! The pool and hot tub were nice amenities, just a short walk from the unit. Was great to have the full kitchen, albeit a little tight quarters. Also great to have 2 full bathrooms and laundry in the unit.

Communication with host was prompt and easy. Location of the condo was excellent and everything was very clean. Being able to look out the window and see the ocean so close and being able to walk down to the beach in a few minutes was amazing.

Great unit, awesome views, but fix broken items

This unit has incredible ocean and sunset views!!! Also located very close to the paved path down to the beach for some great snorkeling (lots of fish and turtles). Overall a very clean and nice unit, comfortable sofa and chairs, large and well appointed bathrooms, and air conditioning in the master and guest bedrooms which was very much appreciated. Minor drawbacks were the main overhead fan did not work and the left side of the toaster only toasted on one side of the bread. Also one power socket did not work (in breakfast nook area). All relatively minor issues (although not having the main fan available had us taking out the portable fans to get some air moving in the unit). The view though from the lanai is the highlight of this unit!

Great Condo

The condo is in a perfect location and was perfect for our stay.  The view is spectacular, and beach access is down a path just outside the condo.  I would stay here again.  Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Outdated Property

I stay at VRBO’s all the time. This property was very outdated. Hard to use the keys to get into the home, light bulbs out in bathroom, furniture stained. Obviously the property has a lot of traffic. The view was the best thing about the house. With so much to choose from we will not return to this property. I would encourage the owners to clean it up.

Perfect Family Getaway in Princeville with Breathtaking Views

We had an incredible stay at this property in Princeville. It was the perfect size for our family, offering a comfortable and spacious layout that met all our needs. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location couldn’t have been better – we were close to everything we wanted to explore, yet it felt wonderfully secluded and peaceful. The highlight was undoubtedly the magical view; it was breathtaking and added a special touch to our stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in Princeville. We can’t wait to return!

Condo nice but Vacasa service not

We had a problem with the refrigerator ever since check-in it smelled really bad. There was a bad fish odor coming from the refrigerator was clean. It smelled awful every time you open and close the door let out a smell that went into the kitchen and dining area. We called vacasa to help rectify the situation which they did initially send out a person to clean the refrigerator. But never followed up if the problem was solved which it was not. Every day I was texting vacasa and telling them of the problem. With no correction of the problem. We were on vacation and trying to enjoy all the activities so we were busy so trying to deal with this problem at the same time was not a vacation. We check on a Wednesday night. We text Thursday about the problem Friday text again about the problem and no check out then over the weekend or texts were ignored by the local office. I spoke to a person on Monday and she said she thought the problem was fixed but it was not. I requested a new condo that's how awful the smell was. But nothing was available. The condo it's self was fine. Dated in wear n tear. We stayed at Pali me kua 4 years ago in a different condo that was much more kept updated. The view was beautiful to sit out and enjoy on the lanai . And the extra bedroom was appreciated along with the air condition and many fans.

Perfect location and view

The condo was lovely and had a great view. Proximity to the hideaway beach was a great plus also. Only complaint would be the house didn't have salt and pepper....I mean that's barely a complaint :)

Comfortable condo with a million dollar view

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. Had a few issues with a broken bed which was fixed and no pool access / no pool key which was not resolved. The condo itself is wonderful, very comfortable and has million dollar views. We were able to whale watch from the deck. The beds were comfortable and the amenities perfect, except for the lack of pool access. Hideaways beach, a strenuous hike down a paved path, is secluded and small but definitely not for swimming in the winter months. Anini beach, a quick drive away, is the best swimming beach on the north shore. Hanalei, also a short drive away is a beautiful town and beach. Kauai truly is the garden isle and loved every minute of our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.

Beautiful view but would not rent again

Unfortunately, the only good things I can say about this property are that the view is lovely and it was very clean when we arrived. We have stayed in eight other Pali Ke Kua rentals over the years, and this rental was woefully under-stocked. It is clear that the owners never stay here. The kitchen does not have a sufficient amount of even basic cookware, cups, or flatware for a family of four - we had to run the dishwasher every day in order to eat two meals/day in the condo without running out of forks. There are no non-glass cups/tumblers to use at the pool, no tupperware, and no spices, cooking oil, salt/pepper, coffee filters, or any of the other basic provisions that you expect to see in a vacation rental of this caliber. Despite the fridge and freezer having been obviously cleaned out before we arrived, they both smelled strongly of fish the entire time we were there. There is one barely functional beach chair. Blankets on the beds are very thin, and there is one extra blanket in the entire condo (with four beds). We love Pali Ke Kua but we would not stay in this property again.

Check-in instructions were incomplete. Left off code for key lock requiring a call to management office. Very inconvenient after a long day of travel.

Great place

Great location and views but it needed to be cleaned up a bit more. There were dead bugs on walls and floors. Dust on floors and curtains are dirty other than that we had a great time and couldn’t ask for a better neighborhood and views

Very nice, great view

Only criticism is that the deck cushions should be kept indoors when mot in use - a bit damp because of the ocean exposure. Very clean, decent kitchen (needs all new glassware because it’s a mismatch and not a good selection). That’s really a minor quibble. Also, one should note that that is is not an apt for people with mobility difficulties. Probably 75 meters from parking lot, 8 stairs up to entrance and then another 8 up or down to either bedroom. If you have someone challenged in your party, get the ground level apts.

Beautiful View and complex

The view is the best thing about this property. The kitchen is very narrow so even difficult with 2 people at a time. The furniture is decent, but it is a 6 sleeper unit with only 4 chairs for main table. The place is not cleaned well. My husband and I slept in loft twin beds, and under bed saw socks from previous renters and thick dust. Also, under big coffee table in living room was thick layer of dirt. The electric grill on the patio was filthy, and the light above kitchen table, light in upstairs bathroom, and light on lanai porch were all out. Getting through to someone is difficult and took 2 days for new light bulbs. The upstairs bathroom has no natural light. The furniture is in good shape and pizza pub restaurant is really good. Internet and phone service can be spotty.

Wonderful unit, gorgeous view, a little short on essentials

We’ve stayed on property 6 times before, obviously we love pali ke kua! Our first time in a two level two bedroom (plus loft). With AC in the bedroom areas it was very good for sleeping, the loft this time of year no way, way too hot. But we didn’t need that. Very nicely furnished both in the living area and bedrooms. Nice bath products were provided by vacasa. There was also a nice welcome basket with goodies. Our ONLY critique is the unit is bare bones in terms of kitchen essentials. We’ve stayed in many condo rentals and one expects more than a salt and pepper shaker….your traveling and “living” in a unit for some duration so if you’re going to cook at all, well you’d like more. We just checked into a place in Maui and it’s fully stocked, a pantry with cooking oil, spray nonstick, spices, teas, etc. it’s like home. That aside 109 is perfect and the sunset views, well they’re something to last a lifetime…or until your next visit!

Island hopping

Beautiful location. Sunsets were incredible. Very quiet and relaxing. Plenty of places to walk within the resort. We did a lot of driving to other places but it was nice to come back here.

Perfect view!

We loved our pathway down from our condo. It was pretty steep but fun to walk down through the trees. Our view was amazing. The grounds were quiet and very well maintained! We will definitely be back!

Amazing View

Very nice condo and a great location. Good pool and a short (albeit steep) walk to the beach. Was a little disappointed to not have more beach gear and beach towels. But, it certainly didn't affect the experience. Also, mahalo for finding a quick replacement for the W/D prior to our stay!
