Cozy Highlands cabin! Just 4 miles to town-Pet friendly-lots of outdoor space

Little Pine House is a cozy, quaint little 1950 cabin located in a private neighborhood called Flat Mountain Estates. It is in a cul de sac neighborhood, so there’s no thru traffic. It’s great for walking with mountain views at the top, and Ranger Falls and Cliffside hiking trails are just around the corner. The home is a one level ranch home with lots of its original charm. It is on a nicely landscaped flat lot with lots of privacy and outdoor space. Great for pets and relaxing, and the outdoor porch with wood burning fireplace is always a favorite spot. There is plenty of parking for 4 or more cars, and we are located near the front of our neighborhood, so it is very easy access with no steep hills. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Highlands, and 15 to Cashiers. The adorable town of Clayton is close by too. Oak Steakhouse is just 4 minutes away down Flat Mountain rd in the Skyline Lodge. We love everything about this spot, and sincerely think you will too!

The cabin is done so well. It had all the amenities you would need in the kitchen. Beverage cooler and an ice machine. The coffee bar was stocked nicely. The beds had the most comfortable mattresses. In the master bedroom, they had Coop pillows. Sleep so well there!! The owners are wonderful to work with! We will definitely be back.

This house was a great home base for our first trip to Highlands. We stayed over the week of Christmas - Jennings prepared the house beautifully for the holidays, and the indoor and patio fireplaces made it so cozy.

We enjoyed our stay at Little Pine House. The hosts were very responsive to questions. We Particularly enjoyed the covered screen porch with wood burning fireplace, new large gas grill and a large tv. The location is quiet and woodsy yet convenient to town. Oak steakhouse is less than two miles away.Very nice old school interior, no drywall, all knotty pine walls and ceilings with Oak floor throughout. Very well appointed cabin with very nice newer KitchenAid appliances, remodeled baths and showers, locally crafted art pieces, some beautifully crafted wood tables and a desk, large tv’s, remote controlled gas fireplace in the LR, decent wi fi, cable tv, outdoor seating areas, an outdoor fire pit with a supply of dry wood and even a stocked beverage cooler. Our two cats enjoyed their visit too. They could watch birds, chipmunks and a ground hog from the porch and through some low windows in the house. Several neighbors were seen walking dogs every day and evening. Nice area for walking. Not too hilly. The only thing missing was a broom. Luckily I took a dustpan and brush for cleanups .We hope to return

We really enjoyed our time here. They really have everything you need and more. It was great for our family to rest and relax here. The home is beautiful decorated. The beds were comfortable. The screen in porch was our favorite. Oh and don’t forget the hammocks. We wish we could visit again soon. Thanks for a memorable family vacation.

This was a perfect place to stay for a quick getaway with my cats and close friend. The hosts thought of every possible convenience you may need. The home is cozy and decorated so nicely with a real attention to detail which I really appreciated. The Christmas decorations were also quite nice. Lovely, clean cozy place. We hope to go back!

Quiet, private, cozy retreat. Super well stocked and comfortable furniture. Definitely one of those cabins where you are just as happy to stay home as you are to go hiking or head into town. We will definitely return!

Peaceful Cabin House

With a busy wedding weekend schedule, it was nice to come back to the cute and peaceful cabin home to relax. While it was in a neighborhood, we had the feeling we were in a secluded area as we sat out in the screened-in porch in front of the fireplace. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Labor day in the highands

Such a nice cabin!

It's a wonderful place to visit. A very eclectic cabin set in the woods, it has a fully equipped kitchen (appliances, pans, utensils, spices... the works!). 4 adults with plenty of room. We certainly enjoyed sitting on the screened porch with the fireplace going. Highly recommended.

Relaxing stay!

Very cozy house making it easy to relax and unwind. Although the weather was mostly wet and rainy the house was so comfortable and inviting with the fireplace on porch and the games in the cabinet. We caught up on some Christmas movies and enjoyed cooking a nice meal in the well equipped kitchen.

Quaint Cottage close to Highlands

The cottage is very clean and well appointed. Owners supplied just about everything you need for a nice weekend getaway with friends. Really appreciated the fully stocked coffee bar, lots of firewood to burn and cleanliness of house. We will definitely rent again.

This was our 9th summer in the area and our favorite home-away-from-home so far. The cottage was very livable, well-appointed, and so convenient to downtown Highlands. Our family’s favorite place to relax was the screened porch. We enjoyed many evenings by the fire listening to the sounds of nature or watching movies on the flat screen. This may sound strange, but even my afternoon laps felt very luxurious thanks to the tree shade, mountain breeze, and birdsong. Our dog (small doodle) got to live his best life walking the neighborhood loop and hiking nearby.You are 8-10 minutes from the Old Edward’s Inn (best spa and wine garden), beautiful churches, and high-end boutiques like Rosenthals. Headed the other direction, you are minutes from the hiking trail at Whiteside Mtn and another 15 minutes to Cashiers for favorites like Slab Town Pizza.The owners, Neely and Jennings, thought of every convenience in the home, and those special touches made the difference. The communication was excellent, and we wanted for noting during the trip. We will absolutely be back!

Great mountain retreat

We loved this adorable mountain cottage. It had everything that you could want. Very well decorated and private. The owners did a great job having all the extra touches for our stay. We lived on the screened in porch enjoying the fires. We will return!
