The Goose Nest Cottage is an amazing cottage built in 2022 designed specifically for Lake Oconee Guests! Enjoy a spacious property with room for everyone to rest or play inside and out! Fireplaces on both levels for relaxing moments in a cozy setting, a firepit just outside the pool for evening enjoyment...a tanning ledge in a beautiful lit pool for family fun! This cottage is designed for families and friends, please no parties or events.

This home is two stories with its master on the main level, full kitchen along with comfortable dining and plenty of room for gathering inside or out! The pool side patio is also furnished with plenty of cozy seating, a dining table, built in grill and a refrigerator! The pool is designed for relaxation with a tanning ledge, built in bench, chairs and umbrella. The laundry room and a powder room make the main level convenient for day use! The second story has a King bedroom with a daybed and trundle easily accommodating four, a Queen bedroom with a daybed and trundle, easily accommodating four, and a Bunk Room, with a twin bunk bed and two XL beds, easily accommodating four! Also, upstairs is a comfortable hanging out space with a fireplace and a pool table for a little friendly competition! Enjoy!

Additional Details:

- Are you envisioning of never leaving the cottage?! We have you covered with a Private Chef! Whether you are looking for a Private Chef to entertain your crowd while cooking in your own cottage kitchen or dropping your favorite meal at the door! We have you covered! You will work directly with the Chef to customize your needs at an additional fee.

- The pool may be heated upon request for an additional fee of $150 per night, if you would like it heated for arrival time please notify the host at time of booking or at minimum 48 hours prior to arrival.

- Guests may enjoy a max dock for fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming. Absolutely No Diving off the property or dock. The water is shallow in this cove so please use caution. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat, an outboard motor is recommended to control the level of the trim.

3. Rates are adjusted daily! If it is necessary to change the dates of your stay- please note that your daily rates may change as well.

We loved the property and the views. Has everything you need, in a great location so close to everything you really needand etc. Great location, beautiful views and everything was so new and clean. These accommodations took our trip to the Masters Golf tourney over the top!!!

Amazing Summer Vacation

The property is amazing, very well kept (clean, wonderful amenities), and close to a lot of restaurants and stores in the lake community. The property manager/contact was extremely responsive and went out of her way to ensure we had a great stay. Even the small details were very nice touches (fully stocked firewood, cleaning supplies, all kitchen utensils, etc.).

Perfect House!

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Goose Nest Cottage. The house was beautiful, perfectly decorated, and the pool over looking the lake was breathtaking. The host was so sweet and incredibly easy to work with! I Would most certainly recommend staying here to anyone! Thank you for a fun getaway!

Beautiful paradise in a cove

Kerri was a great host! Very responsive and welcoming. We loved the home it was beautiful. Backyard was our favorite loved the heated pool and the views from the dock. Lots of nights of s’mores by the fire. We didn’t want to leave! Hopefully this will be a yearly tradition.

Beautiful Home!

This house was perfect for our two families. It is a gorgeous home with plenty of room for everyone. The outdoor area is great - you can watch tv from the pool and the couches on the back patio were the perfect place for morning coffee and afternoon naps. We also really liked the fact that this part of the lake is shallow, so it was nice and quiet. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. Would definitely stay again.

Exceeded my expectations and perfect for a family trip!

This is a beautiful new home. It is remarkably clean , which we loved, and has everything you need for a comfortable and memorable lake house vacation: spacious rooms, open layout, great pool, a flat backyard for the kids to play, and a dock. Kerri was a great, kind, and conscientious host. This is a great property and property owner! You won't be disappointed.

Birthday at the Lake

Goose Nest Cottage at Lake Oconee is a stunning property! It is in a great location, and the cottage host, Kerri, is fantastic! She was always available to answer questions or to make suggestions based on our needs. The cottage is beautifully furnished and filled with all the amenities a guest would need. Restaurants, Shops, and Groceries are just a few miles away. I highly recommend this property and host to anyone looking for a beautiful property to stay at on Lake Oconee. We cannot wait to be able to enjoy this property again!

Perfect Spot for Family!!

Loved this property so much! Everything you could ask for and more. We were there for a family getaway and had such a great time. Brand new everything / spacious / amazing pool. Just fantastic. And Kerri could not have been better to work with. We rented a boat for the week and I would agree with the listing comment to make sure you have a motor that can trim up and down due to shallow water. But it’s very manageable and worked out perfectly. We would absolutely recommend!!!

Best family vacation ever!

It's hard getting schedules together but we did it! Our 2 daughters and their families. The house was perfect in all ways! So clean and comfortable. Lovely setting and view was great. Lots of room to spread out. We ate all our meals at the house and it worked perfect. We all enjoyed the pool, corn hole and the firepit! We did rent a pontoon and had a great time on the lake. Can't say enough good things about the house. Hope to be back soon! Thank you for all the wonderful memories!

We didn’t want to leave!

We loved our last hurrah of the summer at lake oconee! The house is amazing! So clean and so comfortable. We are a family of 5 and spread out quite nicely and had plenty of room to have our dear friends visit. The pool and fire pit were the biggest hit! We wanted for nothing while we were here. Fished, tubed, swam, grilled out, made s’mores. Life was idyllic! Thank you for hosting our family. We hope to come back soon for football watching season! 💕

Perfect stay!

We couldn’t have asked for more! Literally everything was perfect! If we needed it, it was on site. My mission was not to have to leave the cottage for anything. Needless to say, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Miss Kerri made sure we were good and she was very prompt on her communication with me. She’s the best hostess ever. We arrived back home and started planning our Thanksgiving trip BACK AT GOOSE NEST COTTAGE!!!

Even better than the listing!

I fell in love with the listing when I saw it on VRBO and I have to say, the real house was even better! It is a beautiful, brand new home, with every detail considered. All of the conveniences for a rental property are there, and it was a very easy check in/check out process. The location is exceptional - convenient to everything. You do have to go under a few low bridges on the lake to reach the house, so it wouldn’t work with a tall boat, but it worked just fine with the pontoon boat that we rented, so long as we put the shade down. It is in a beautiful cove… The most picturesque setting you can imagine. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Spectacular!

We stayed at this property with our four adult children (20's) over the week of July 4th! Everything was spectacular in every way. The house is brand new and spotless so you can completely relax there. It has two living areas to hang out, a large kitchen and dining area for meals, and a great outdoor space for lounging, grilling, and eating. And the pool was the perfect respite for those hot afternoons. Kerri was such a gracious host and extremely responsive. The pool pump quit working on July 3rd and I messaged her at 7:00 pm to let her know. Someone was there to replace the pump first thing in the morning, and it was a holiday! If you want a first-class place to spend time on Lake Oconee, I highly recommend the Goose Nest!

Lakeside Private Resort Meets Southern Hospitality

My family booked this property in order to relax for a few days prior to heading into Atlanta for a college football playoff game. My wife has the highest standards imaginable for accommodations and a keen eye for design. This home checked all the boxes! She even said there wasn’t anything she would change about it. This was a time our family grew closer together and enjoyed meaningful conversations around the fire pit and the multiple spaces around the property. There was a minor issue getting one of the fireplaces to light, and Keeli was extremely attentive and helpful to resolve the issue that same morning. The family room upstairs, with a pool table, was one of our favorite spaces. The fireplaces on both levels added a nice touch of ambience and heat! Our daughter, home from college, thoroughly enjoyed reading out on the private dock. Being within a 10 minute drive to the Reynolds Ritz-Carlton, is an added bonus. I resoundingly review and highly suggest this property for anyone looking to make memories in a resort-like private escape in a beautiful part of our country. My wife is a Buckeye fan, but I am a Bulldog, which means the New Year’s Eve victory was icing on the cake of a fantastic trip!

Perfect Experience

We've stayed at Hilton Head before but wanted to find something closer. We searched forever to find a location that had both a stunning water view and an impeccable interior. We took a chance on this house and it exceeded our expectations. The property is beautifully decorated with delightful art. It is also immaculate - I have ridiculous cleaning standards and this is the first time I've stayed at a place that met them. The property is very well stocked, with a good supply of utensils, dishes, cooking pans, coffee makers, and more. The host thought of all the little touches that make for a great experience, from makeup towels in the bathrooms to a hand-written welcome note. The driveway to the house is a perfect place to go on walks (very private and long enough to get in a great workout). We loved the patio / pool space, particularly the grill and tv area. The upstairs tv loft with the pool table was also a hit. The host had plenty of beach towels for the pool which was a welcome surprise. All the appliances were great, from the washer and dryer to the dishwasher, and the oven. We found that we could get a fast Instacart delivery from Publix for all of our food supplies (or it's just up the road if you like to drive). We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the location is - we didn't hear another person around for the entirety of our stay. We really can't say enough good things about the property, location, or host, other than that we'll definitely be back!

Beautiful Lake Front Property

Thank you for a Beautiful Christmas with family. We enjoy the clean, home with everything we needed. The owners were very responsive and it was a pleasure to rent from them, they made everything easy. The house was comfortable for everyone had lots of space and we loved the fire pit by the pool. Can’t wait to come back. We loved this place. I recommend this rental anytime!

HI, I'm Kerri! I am so happy to be able to offer to our customers an amazing vacation at a beautiful cottage on the lake that has brought me so much joy for years! My husband, Mark and I were a blind date on Lake Oconee on Memorial Day in 1983! We married in 1984, had four children and built our first vacation home on this lake in 2002. We've moved a few times, but we still live on the lake and love it. Lake Oconee is a fun place for our family to be, our three sons have made the lake their home and our daughter is hopefully going to do the same soon.

Mark has been building homes for almost 40 years and enjoys having his sons in the business with him. Smith Built Homes, our building company, custom designed and built this cottage and many more. Thanks so much for choosing to stay with us, we'll look forward to hearing how much you've enjoyed your time at our cottage!
