Relax and enjoy the outdoors on the Juniata River. Drink your morning coffee or tea from the deck overlooking the river, and crack open a beer or sip a glass of wine by the fire pit in the evening. Our property is river front and adjacent to a public boat launch, so bring your boat and reel in some monster bass. If fishing isn't your thing, float the river in our kayaks, or simply stay home and take in the views. Either way you don't want to miss out on this amazing opportunity to get away!

Our 2,000 sq. feet river house is fully renovated and perfect to rent to vacation with your friends or family. The spacious yard allows room for you to bring your favorite lawn games. Also, kayaks and a canoe are provided for you to explore the river. Enjoy the peace and quiet, but be aware you will hear the occasional train whistle and subtle roar in the distance as trains chug along on the opposite side of the river.

Visit the quaint town of Newport located within 5 minutes of the property. The town is bustling on Saturdays as locals visit the coffee shops, antique stores, and other amenities. Also, take a trip to the local winery for a wine flight and house made stromboli. Or if you're looking for ways to stay active during your stay, consider taking a short drive to Little Buffalo State Park for a stroll around the lake or a hike through the wooded trails.

Fishing Trip

This was our second annual fishing trip to this property. While the fishing conditions weren’t great the property was once again absolutely perfect. We will be back again next year.

Family vacation

Great Location

The house was amazing. Location was great only down part we couldnt get the heat up but other than that overall was amazing. All of our friends love it. Definitely recommend.

Fish on!

The property is great but the location was the key for us as it was very convenient for fishing on both the Juniata and the Susky. We caught some really nice Smallmouth over 4 days of kayak fishing. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Riverfront Property

We had 8 of us and there was room for more! Very clean and has everything you would need in the kitchen. It was very nice to have the kayaks there to enjoy the river! Highly recommend

Cute house for a family trip

The home was beautiful and clean. The hosts’ pay great attention to little details which give the property charm. Each bunk bed had a charger port for all the teens cellphones. My family had a great time. My only complaint is that the first day we had booked online ended up being unavailable once the host confirmed our booking. The host compensated by allowing early check in the next day which we appreciated.

Just want to start by saying that our hosts were exceptional. On top of absolutely everything. Couldn’t be happier with them. The property worked great for all of us. Had a great time fishing and going to the races. Unfortunately, we had some rain outs at the track but staying at such a nice property made everything OK!!

GREAT WEATHER

THE HOUSE WAS GREAT AS ALWAYS BUT WE HAD GREAT WEATHER ALSO FOR THE MIDDLE OF MARCH. THE OWNERS ALWAYS HAVE THE SIMPLE THINGS THAT SOMETIMES YOU FORGET. THEY ARE ALWYAS GREAT PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. THEY ALLOWED ME TO MOVE MY RENTAL FROM OCTOBER TO THIS MARCH WHIXH IS AWSOME. VERY GREATLY APPRECIATED. I RECOMEND THIS HOME TO ANYONE WHO LIKES WATER IN GENERAL OR JUST A QUIET WEEKEND AWAY

Memory Making Memorial Day Weekend

This house was super clean, beautifully decorated, and spacious. Our family of 12 made the most of the covered patio/deck for meals and games and also enjoyed the sun deck when we wanted to get an even better view of the river. Being right on the river was perfect for fishing and kayaking. The hosts provided kayaks and a canoe. We had so much fun! Christi provided us with everything we needed to have a great long weekend and was a pleasure to deal with. I felt like we were staying at a friend's house. Everybody said we want this to be an annual event so we can make even more memories. We all agreed everything was perfect! Thank you.

Absolutely Amazing

This property is beautiful. We went for a graduation celebration with all of my nieces and nephews (all teenagers), my mom and father-in-law and EVERYONE had a blast. The house had everything we could have needed and more... even a pie dish and hand mixer. Not a ton of biting fish, but we had a great time on the water with the kayaks and canoe. Everyone was comfortable. There were games & puzzles, lots of tv channels (even watched a few movies when we headed inside for the night), sleeping arrangements were perfect, and the house was just beautiful. Giant food market was just a few minutes away for some last minutes snacks. Thanks Christi for making our trip amazing.

Excellent vacation house on the river

We had an excellent vacation at the river house with family and the kids friends (10 of us age 17 and up). It was very clean and everything we needed was supplied for kitchen, linens and towels (different towel colors so we knew who’s was who’s) and lots of extras included too like kayaks, basket of chargers, basket of soft blankets (that were used nightly to cuddle up on the couch). There were more than enough chairs supplied for all of us to sit around the campfire. It was a great location, we were able to visit Hershey Park & Hershey World, Indian Echo Caverns, Outlet Mall and an Amish tour in Lancaster and a couple of days still to just hang out at the house and enjoy the water and Kayaks. Topped off the last night with a trip to Sweet to the Soul Homemade Ice Cream Shop for a flight of ice cream, it was YUMMY!! THANK YOU Christi for sharing your house with us.

We all want to live on the Juniata River now

Loved our stay. Every detail has been considered with this house. The wood bar with the chalkboard welcome and daily events in the area listed. The caddies with each bunk bed so my daughers' could have their own personal space. The bunk beds! There are even power cords on each side of the beds. The beds were comfortable too. Even the sofa in the living was extra wide and comfy and spinny chairs by the window. My favorite part was the screened in deck overlooking the trees and the river. We spent a lot of time there eating, playing games, and reading. The kayaks and canoe were lovely for sunrise trips up and down the river. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and very responsive. The large table and kitchen fit my family, my sister's family, and my mom all comfortably. Even just having a whole shelving unit for our pantry items made large group living more organized. My only complaint is that if someone in your family enjoys fishing you might not see too much of them because they might never get off the river. I think, actually I know, my husband has more pictures of small mouth bass than his own children on this trip. We had a wonderful time and you can tell the hosts put great care into this house and property.

BEAUTIFUL RIVER HOSE

Labor Day weekend at the River

Beautiful property for a weekend getaway with our middle schoolers and the grandparents. We enjoyed days on the River, evenings on the screened in porch, making dinners in the well stocked kitchen, and making s’mores in the firepit with endless supply of wood for burning. Grocery store was 3 min away which made it super convenient too.

Meet in the middle

We were coming from Pittsburgh, grand parents coming from Philadelphia. This was a perfect getaway in the middle! The house is beautifully renovated. We spent a lot of time in the enclosed porch and on the deck overlooking the river. We kayaked a bit. My daughter had a great time on the water slides in the fabulous nearby state park.

The perfect getaway

I brought my whole family and then some for a week long stay. Check in was simple and can I received a message the next morning from Christi making sure everything was ok. The location and seeing was absolutely perfect; peaceful and relaxing. Christi and Nicole were attentive and made every effort to work out a couple of issues that came up. My family and I loved every bit of it and would definitely come again.

A piece of heaven! Beautiful location, scenery and the house is amazing!

For my birthday this year, I wanted to spend time with our children and grandchildren. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. We made some wonderful memories. The house is amazing, everything was well thought out for anything you could possibly need. The welcome wall was a great surprise when we first arrived. The house is extremely clean and beautiful. The beds were comfortable too! There was plenty of yard for the kids to run around and play. We enjoyed the screened in room very much. It was very private and quiet, we enjoyed the sounds of nature in the early mornings and evenings. The kids enjoyed swimming kayaking and fishing in the river. Christi was wonderful to work with. We definitely recommend this rental.

Cozy river side property with amazing amenities

This property has everything you can think of to have a cozy, relaxing retreat from the crazy outside world. The property was pristine, communication with owners was easy and every detail was thought of for an amazing stay. This location has immediate river access for fishing and kayaking. It has quick easy access to downtown Harrisburg for events like concerts and Minor league baseball games. We were able to host a family get away and was enjoyed by all ages, from age 12-78. We cannot wait to rent this property again.

wonderful vacation with family

House had everything needed for a nice vacation. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. Excellent indoor and outdoor space with beautiful views of the river.
