Shelter Cove - Impressive house w/ private dock

Perfect location, great space, 2 lakefront decks with a lakeside martini deck, private dock and sleeps 18 in beds with plenty of floor space for a couple of air mattresses. New to the vacation rental scene in 2022. This house has it all for the perfect family vacation from top to bottom. Located in Tan Tar A Estates right next to Margaritaville with 2 community pools within The Estates and several more pools at Margaritaville, boat rentals nearby and two Margaritaville golf courses make this perfect house for everyone in the family. The main upper level offers a huge living room with two queen sofa sleeper sectionals and flat screen TV with streaming capabilities, a large fully stocked kitchen with breakfast bar, dining room adjoined by a deck with a gas grill, a spacious open-air lakefront deck, a lakeview king bedded primary suite with private bathroom and lakeview deck, the second bedroom with a queen bed and another bathroom. The lower level offers the 3rd bedroom which is also lakeview and appointed with 2 queen beds and an adjoining bathroom and private lakeview balcony. The 4th bedroom, “the Kids Zone”, offers 2 queen beds with a queen sofa sleeper, a huge flat screen TV also with streaming capabilities, and a private lakeview balcony. A spiral staircase takes you down to the lakeside martini deck which then leads to the private dock with a 30 foot boat slip and a PWC port. The boat slip is occupied by the owner's boat, however, you may tie your boat up to the side of the dock. Located near the back of the cove, it's not a high traffic boating area. This house has it all for the absolute best family vacation, offering something for everyone. Located at the 25 mile marker of Lake of the Ozarks by water and in the heart of Osage Beach near all the favorite attractions, restaurants, marinas and nightlife make this perfect choice for you next Lake Getaway! Great house, love Margaritaville!

House was large so lots of room to spread out. Loved fishing off the dock. Facilities and amenities at Margaritaville were fantastic!

Cozy Cove & Good for Groups!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family traveled in from Des Moines, North Liberty- IA & Dallas! We spent 4 nights. Very nice cove area. Large kitchen for cooking. Location was wonderful!

Great House

Very nice house with two walkout decks. The screened in deck was great for keeping bugs and the rain away.

Overall a great stay

Check in was easy and simple and check out was the same way! I love that all we had to do was get trash out and start the dish washer! The house and dock are gorgeous and in a nice quiet cove that was great for swimming. We had a squirrel in the house at check in though and the management company didn’t seem too concerned with it to the point that we ourselves had to remove the squirrel when we found it again. The only thing I got from them when notified of something in the house was “we’ll send housekeeping down with clean sheets (it went to the bathroom on a bed) and someone would try to catch it” and once we got it out of the house I was told “thanks for the update and removing it”.

Perfect Layout in Ideal Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this home over labor day weekend with another family. We had 7 kids between the 2 families. The size of the house and the layout accommodated that perfectly. The kids had their own living space a floor below the adults and their own balconies and bathroom so they could really enjoy and do their thing. I cannot say enough good things about the management company. They were a pleasure to work with and were flexible with making some accommodations for us. They were extremely communicative and really cared about making our experience seamless. The house itself could use a little TLC, especially on the martini deck but we still had a great weekend. We enjoyed the fact that there was ample sofa space in the living area so we could all gather for a movie night as well as seating areas in the kitchen and at the island. We were a 20 min walk from Margaritaville so we spent some time there as well. Overall great weekend.

Way too many stairs. Also parking isn’t disclosed until a few days prior. House is suppose to accommodate 22. But it only has room for 3 smaller cars

Lake of the Ozarks family vacation

The house size and location worked well for our large group. The cleanliness level of the house was substandard upon arrival, but the rental management firm quickly sent cleaners to spruce it up a bit. The upper floor air conditioner could not keep up with the 100 degree temps we had during our 4 night stay. The lower floor A/C handled it fine. The house simply needs some updating; otherwise it’s a nice location and size for a large family.

Family trip

The place has ample bedrooms and baths which were clean but certainly dated. Two things should be noted in the home. One, the barstools at the breakfast bar are not tall enough to use the counter for dining. There are several areas of interior steps that are dangerous and awkward, certainly not appropriate for young children. Also, the only way down to the water is a very steep spiral staircase. Additionally. The cove is crowded and not appropriate for swimming.

Great location and plenty of space!

My family really enjoyed the huge living space -- combined living room, dining, and kitchen. Plenty of space for all of us to stretch out and enjoy meals and fun together without being cramped. The location on the water was excellent too!

Alot of steps to get in to house, inside house and of course down to the boat dock. Clean and spacious for young to middle age adults. Well stocked. The four seasons property management was amazing! Answered all our questions very quickly, flexible to meet extenuating circumstances to allow my dying MIL an experience on the lake. We had to contact John to see where we were able to park a boat trailer as it was not allowed on property. He quickly assisted. We also brought in a hospital bed and compressor for my terminally ill mother in law. John was very accomodating for this as well and we cannot thank him enough!

We loved our stay at shelter cove!! The updates to the home were amazing and the property was even better than the photos online. The only recommendation I have is to put curtains in the “kids area” downstairs. The members of four seasons property management were great to work with. They were very responsive to any questions I had regarding our stay at shelter cove.
