Classic lake house in great location

We had a wonderful time at this vacation home! The screened porch that spans the entire front and parts of the side of the house, with areas for sleeping, eating, and just sitting looking at the lake was awesome. Our 2-year grandson had run of the porch but was entirely safe the whole time. We also loved the big reading chairs in the living room. The warm pine paneling gave the home a classic feel, but all the modern amenities were there, including central air and new bathrooms. The outdoor shower was a real treat. The kitchen was well stocked. The only suggestion I would make is to create some seating areas in the entry room to cozy it up a bit and make it more inviting. The private beach had lots of lounge chairs, a picnic table, a fire pit and a hammock and swimming in that part of the lake was delightful - it's a quiet end of the lake. We also took out the pedalboat and kayak - so much fun. Communication was excellent!

Perfect spot to be one with nature and enjoy the lake!

We had a two families spending the week together and we had a great time. The lake is quieter than we are used to, which was nice. The host called to tell us early check in was available and arranged a kayak for delivery which was awesome. The kids loved the paddle boat and waterfront area. Don’t forget your water shoes - those mussels are sharp. Fire pit was great. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and the host provided paper products which never happens on a rental. Fireflies at night were magical! Screen porch didn’t keep out all wildlife, but we were in nature. The driveway is no joke - bring your SUV. Must hit the little country store in Vine Valley! Thanks for a great week!

incredible cottage with all amenities. only problem is the listing doesn't state it is across the street and has 53 steps to the lake!! a serious flaw if you have a challenged person in your group

Beautiful House and Setting on the Lake

The place is lovely! It is at the south end of the lake located on at the end of a cottage road.that is great for walking or biking. We loved it but some friends did not like the distance from Canandaigua. So, if you want easy access to the city this may not be the place for you. The house has a large screened in porch to sleep on which was wonderful. Large beach front with a dock that was prefect to swim off with a ladder. Everyone loved the outside shower and well stocked kitchen for cooking. This is a new rental and you can tell the management company is still working out the kinks in the process and communication with renters. Really enjoyed our stay overall and would go back again.

Lake House

This was a Fantastic lake house right on the water with all the amenities you need in a very quiet neighborhood. We had one issue which was not under their control. The air-conditioning system went but fortunately we had ceiling fans which work great and their were some fans in the house. They kept us updated with the system but unfortunately it wasn't fixed during our week simply do to the fact that parts were on back order but they compensated us 3 full nights for the inconvenience which I felt was very reasonable considering it was the hottest week of the year. Once again our stay was amazing and we would consider staying here again.

Review

Beautiful spot. Loved the sleeping porch. Kitchen was well appointed. Suggestion to have plastic glasses, a few plastic platters for outdoor use and to bring to dock area. Check out time seemed a bit early. 11:00 seems standard with most rentals. For some reason there were quite a lot of bugs in doors. Not sure of their entryway. We had a wonderful week and enjoyed this property very much. We loved how private the property is. It’s just a beautiful spot.
