Renovado en 2018, el interior de la cabaña existente y su nueva incorporación (dormitorio) están muy bien diseñados. La antigua cabaña pequeña con techos bajos, ahora cuenta con un concepto de piso abierto y techos de 10 pies con ventiladores de techo, y mucho más.

Camine hasta la hermosa Pleasant Road Ocean Beach desde esta encantadora casa renovada en el tranquilo West Harwich, a solo 4/10 de milla. Todo lo que necesita para la playa está aquí: cargue el vagón con nuestras sillas de playa, sombrillas, toallas, libros y juguetes y pase el día en la playa. We had a wonderful time. This home was beautiful. Close to a lot of activities. We did several tours. The food was amazing. We will differently be back.

Our Cape Visit

The lovely house was as described and served our accommodation for a family wedding at Chatham Bars Inn. We shared with our Texas son and wife who also enjoyed exploring the nearby Cape Cod points of interest. Our only hitch was trying to follow the check-out instructions. The 9:00 a.m. check-out was impossible to achieve as all bedding and towels (kitchen and bath) had to be laundered, folded and put away. That means we had to wait for the last of our group to shower before starting the washer. The front-load washer was extremely slow (well over an hour) followed by a long drying time . Since our son and wife had to catch a flight out of Logan, we stayed back to accomplish the check-out.

Great home near the beach

Very nice and well-equipped home. Extremely responsive home owner which was super helpful and even offered great advice about child/friendly beaches we hadn’t heard of. The back yard is wonderful for relaxing and bbqing. Would stay again

A Perfect House for a Cape Vacation

It was obvious that this house had been lovingly renovated, furnished and maintained. Light and airy, it was a delightful place to stay for two weeks. There were only two of us, but a family of five or six would have been more than comfortable. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and entertaining some friends who were staying nearby in the lovely back garden. The outdoor shower was used often. As avid walkers and bikers, we felt the location was ideal. We were able to walk easily to one of the nicest Sound beaches and into either Harwich Port or Dennis Port. We also had quick access to the rail trail and national seashore beaches. Although the owner did not live nearby, he was always available by phone and very responsive to any requests that we had. His Welcome Brochure was particularly helpful. Clearly he wanted his renters to enjoy their Cape vacation to the fullest. We would definitely return to this house again.

Quiet, peaceful and enjoyable

This was a great summer vacation location, house was open and roomy, and the backyard was quiet, and great place to relax. 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach, plenty of parking too.

Great home and location!

We had a wonderful week in West Harwich! The house was perfect for 3 adults and one toddler, with plenty of room and everything we needed during our stay. The backyard was a great place for our little one to play and the outdoor shower was amazing after our beach days. Every beach item we needed was at the house too! The location was great - plenty of restaurants and shops to explore in Harwichport (just a short drive away) and nearby Chatham. The beaches were beautiful and perfect for our little one. We ended up getting a weekly beach permit so we could drive/park (easier with a toddler and all of the beach gear), but Pleasant St beach would be an easy walk for those traveling lighter.

2nd Time Visiting

We love this place. We stayed here last summer and loved everything about it, came back for a second stay. Great location, love the short walk to the beach...the home is clean and comfy and has everything you could need. But the best part of the property is the backyard patio and outdoor shower. Love this place and big fans of the host who went out of his way to help us find a stay that worked for us. Hope to visit for a third time next summer.

Great cape get away

We had a great week at this cottage! It was clean and as advertised inside. It was a 5-10 min walk to the beach along a quiet road. We were happy to be able to use the wagon and chairs that came with the house. Grill was in good condition. There was a problem with the smoke detectors going off in the middle of the night, but the owner was easy to reach and responsive and I believe the issue has been resolved. Neighbors were friendly!

Perfect Cape Getaway

This cottage had everything we were looking for in a cape house. It's walking-distance to the beach which is incredibly helpful considering parking at other beaches can be a pain/expensive. Also, the walk itself is a lovely stroll through a quintessential Cape neighborhood with perfectly manicured lawns and great architecture. Pleasant Rd. beach was great. Flat, soft sand and calm, shallow water that was perfect for our 14 month old to play in and for the adults to take delicious dips in the ocean. The house has a gorgeous lawn and landscaping and we spent most of our time in the great backyard patio area hanging out and grilling. I took nothing but outdoor showers for an entire week which is how you should do it in the Cape, but there's also a great water-pressure shower indoors of course. The house was really well-stocked with kitchen utensils, plates cups, tupperware etc. as well as a full-size crib, high chair, washer-dryer and everything you would ever need for the beach including a bunch of chairs, boogie boards, noodles, beach toys, etc. etc. Bedrooms are big, and comfortable and even though it's not a huge house, we felt very comfortable and able to spread out as four adults plus a baby. West Harwich is a great Cape location and just a 15 minute drive to Chatham or 45 minute drive all the way up for a day in Provincetown. Lastly, David was a great host and super communicative. His welcome booklet was really helpful and I'm glad we used his recommendations countless times to improve our stay and have some great meals. Would definitely recommend this spot and hope to come back with the family next summer. -Jonathan

Just what we needed!

We decided to get away during the pandemic, as we live in a NY co-op and was in great need for some space and air. This home was perfect for all of our needs. It was spacious, cozy, comfortable and we loved the back yard. The house was equipped with everything we needed and then some! David was great at communication, giving us information about where to go and a quick phone call away. He was even so kind enough to spend time with me on the phone prior to my vacation to give advice about a bad situation I was in. His advice helped us to make the right decision. Fortunately we didn’t need to bother him too much while there, because he was very thorough with his rental package of details for us. I recommend this property! Thank you so much! Quiet getaway house

The house was tidy and the perfect size for a small family. I loved having coffee in the morning in the backyard with the bunnies, and it’s perfect for grilling at night. The beach was lovely and just a ten minute walk. We enjoyed ourselves.

Quite the Adventure

Our visit happened during the heat wave and following tornado. The house was safe and secure! Though it doesn’t have ac, the window fans were a huge help. Distance to the beach was fabulous. Quiet neighborhood. David was super responsive.

Very nice rental in West Harwich!

We enjoyed our stay in this conveniently located, nicely updated home. Close to beaches, shops and restaurants. We would definitely consider renting again next summer!

Great Vacation Home

The house was beautiful and lived up to what the pictures showed. The house was a little warm at times and may benefit from a AC unit but we are also a “hot” family. We went out and bought an oscillating fan which we actually left for the next guest which seemed to help. Overall, a wonderful first time experience renting a home on the Cape.

Great house for our getaway on the cape

We had a wonderful time at your house Dave. You were very helpful to us and having your suggestions there made it very easy to find things in the town. In fact we went into town and won at Trivia one night which was really fun! Your suggestion for the Pond with my three year old daughter was spot on! She loved it! The outdoor shower is something that is always a plus after being at the beach so you are not dragging sand into the house. I felt the beds were comfortable and having not to provide our own linens was a plus this year! I would recommend this to any small family. It is in a great location and it suited our needs great! To another memorable trip on the Cape!

Walking distance to a great beach!

We spent a week in this home in August. The property was clean and is well kept. It is a great location and walking distance to a great beach at the end of the road which has bathrooms and a lifeguard on duty. The home has all the necessities to cook in or out with an outdoor grill. The back yard is comfortable and quiet to sit and relax! The outdoor shower was great, especially after a day at the beach! Easy access to the bike trail and not too far a drive to Chatham for some great shopping or restaurants. The owner was easy to reach if needed, which fortunately we did not need to bother him during our stay. He provided great information for everything we needed to find or use on the property. He also provided some great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a great Cape Cod vacation.

Perfect location!

Wonderfully cute Cape cottage, so clean and well appointed! The beach is within walking distance and I went every day - in my opinion it is the perfect beach. Numerous restaurants for all tastes and price points within easy driving distance and lots of great shopping for those occasional rainy days! The owner was responsive, friendly and extremely helpful. I look forward to returning.

Lovely!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the cape this summer! This house had all the necessities and is a short walk to the beach (which was beautiful and quiet). The neighborhood is very charming; just as you'd expect to see on Cape Cod. The owners, David and Birgit, are communicative and so easy to work with. They even arranged to leave behind a baby crib and stroller for our toddler so that we wouldn't need to travel with our own. The outdoor shower and hammock were my favorite part of our stay! We took the owners tips on places to eat and enjoyed The Wooden Shoe, Buckie's, and George's Fish Market. We also had fun seal watching at the port in Chatham. I wish we could go back every Summer!

We live north of Boston and wanted a place to get away; a home away from home. A place that we could enjoy on or own and with the kids at any age; where we focus on family time. The Cape's simple pleasures of the Sea, Sun, Sand, and Seafood in a old fashioned quaint seaside village, away from work and responsibility are perfect. I love laying in the backyard hammock watching the unique bird life, after a long day of swimming and sun; looking forward to a lobster roll and ice cream for dinner and watching a local baseball game. We are to young to retire for the summer, so when we are not there, I want other great families to share the same experience, at a fraction of a Hotel cost.

We have learned all the secrets and non-tourist trap activities and love sharing them with our guests.
