Welcome to this newly renovated 100 year old cottage style home that lives in the historic district of Valdosta, Georgia. While this beautiful home is the perfect getaway for you and your family, its location makes it easy for you to get around to everything that Valdosta has to offer!

You are only:

3 minutes to Valdosta State University
3 minutes to SGMC
10 Minutes to I-75
22 minutes to Wild Adventures
The space
Every aspect of the home has been remodeled to breathe new life into this storied cottage while still preserving its history and charm.

The large living room flows into the dining room to create a welcoming common area so that everyone can exist together, in the same space without feeling on top of one another. Enjoy our 70 inch LED 4K flat screen television by watching a movie or tv show.

Our fully stocked kitchen has all the amenities that you will need to make a home cooked meal. Wash away the grime in our 70 year old restored cast iron sink. Enjoy our breakfast nook equipped with a blender, toaster, French press, and multi-serve drip coffee maker. No need to bring your own coffee, we have provided coffee grounds and sugar for you!

The master bedroom comes with a King-sized bed and a private bathroom. Take a load off in our step-in shower, fitted with a seat, luxurious glass doors, and a spa-like rainfall shower head.

Bedroom 2 is stocked with two queen sized beds and lots of natural light. Bedroom 3 comes with one queen sized bed. All bedrooms have room darkening curtains. In the hallway, adjoining the bedrooms, is a second full bath with a bathtub.

In the sunroom is a twin sized daybed, as well as a hanging egg chair. The large windows allow for natural light to pour in, perfect for relaxing, reading, or playing board games.

Our office/lounge room is perfect for getting some work done, or just taking it easy. It comes equipped with a desk, chair, and an oversized beanbag big enough for two!

Feel free to enjoy the beautiful South Georgia breeze on the front porch swing and rocking chairs. You can also enjoy eating dinner under the umbrella on our patio table and chairs out back.

While the home is equipped to host 10 people, we think the perfect group size is 6-8. We are happy to host all 10, but keep in mind it will be a bit cozier.

Other things to note
In an effort to keep the property more secure, we have installed a Ring doorbell camera at the front door of the cottage.

The house was perfect and so beautifully decorated! I have never stayed somewhere that looked exactly like the pictures online. I literally pulled up some of the pics to compare. The home is super clean and well maintained. Everything you can think of is provided for you. The snack basket was the icing on top of an already excellent experience. My granddaughters kept talking about how great the house was. They felt like it was a great home to play hide n seek in which they did a lot in the evening. I would definitely recommend this home. It is a great location as well. Super peaceful neighborhood.

We were in town for a Family reunion in Hahira and needed a place to stay, this home was perfect! I say home because this property is so much more than a house. Thoughtful planning was evident in every room! The multiple charging port in each bedroom, the snacks left in the kitchen, the “in case you forgot yours” toothbrushes in the bathroom; are all touches that demonstrated the care the hosts feel for their guests! Once we have dates for next years reunion, we will book again!

Brought back memories…

This cottage is so sweet, nostalgic, and cozy! It was reminiscent of my grandmother’s home in rural SC, but with all the modern conveniences. Rachel truly has thought of everything and has provided nice lighting/lamps, pillows, coffee, curtains, and has even placed charging stations bedside. The parking area at the house is sizable, plus the neighborhood is nice for walking too. We are thankful we could stay here!

Terrific House for Family Stay

I am from Valdosta, and my family and I rented this house for Easter weekend. It accommodated all of us and I plan to make reservations here again when we return this summer. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Great Experience.

Weekend getaway

My boyfriend and I travelled up from north Florida to this amazing cottage for a little weekend getaway. The home was spectacular! Had the coziness of an old historic home with all the modern conveniences. Rachel proactively communicated every detail on check in/ out , which was so helpful. Responded to other questions/ messages promptly. Would definitely go back !

Cranford Cottage is gorgeous, spacious, spotless, and was the perfect site for a family of 5 2 sets of grandparents to stay for a long weekend. The decor is not only immaculate, but is so cohesive across the house that you get a true sense of calm and luxury when you are there. From the delightful front porch swing to the fully stocked kitchen/bathrooms to the coziest office space…I cannot explain how mindful this host is to truly create a space that is the epitome of comfort. Additionally, our host accommodated my daughter when her flight got in a few hours before check in. She also checked in with me mid-stay to ask if we needed anything. I value good service above all and the host truly delivered and then some. Thank you! thank you! Thank you!

Cozy and Comfy

We stayed at this cottage on our way to Disney. The house was charming and inviting. The aesthetic was everything I would want in a vacation home. The beds were so soft. I just loved everything about it, and so did my family. My only complaint is that the shower pressure in the main hall was not good, and there were not enough towels and washcloths for everyone. We had to take showers in shifts, and I had to wash the towels and washcloths for the next group.

Perfect stay!

We were visiting our mother in South Georgia and stayed at Rachel’s lovely home . ( 2 year old grandson and 4 adults ). Communication was excellent. Her husband made sure we had gas to grill on the Weber, left lights on for us coming in later than expected. Place was spotless and beautifully decorated . The king master bath was extremely comfortable. We all loved and will stay again in the future.

Softball Tournament Stay

Beautiful home! Our group consisted of two adults/parents and three 17 y.o.’s who all enjoyed the ample space, the comfy beds, the laundry, and the proximity to Freedom Park fields. This is a great place to stay in Valdosta!

Beautiful Cottage!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. The interior was so thoughtfully decorated and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Plenty of space for the 3 adults and 4 teens we had in our group. Peaceful neighborhood and easy check in and check out. Beds were sooooo comfortable too! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
