Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. Relax in the peaceful and serene space in the wonderful area of Massanutten. The home features main level living, no stairs to get to the home and bedrooms. There are stairs to go to the basement game room. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a dining room are all on the first main level. Walk out basement houses a fun game room, with a pool table, PlayStation, foosball table, darts, ping pong, connect four.

We stayed with our kids for our 9th anniversary. The kids really enjoyed the games and books in the living room. I was very excited to enjoy the fire pit to roast some marshmallows. We drove up the mountain and played mini golf and drove the go-carts. We then went up to a lookout and took photos. Overall it was a nice weekend.

Amazing weekend

I didn't want to leave this beautiful place. Such comfort and homey. Everything was there to make it convenient and easy. It was bright and sunny, clean, and the perfect set-up for the family. Thank you for the inviting environment.

Need a few tweaks

When we arrived it was already dark and there were no lights on and the front motion detector was not working. The owner was contacted and the handyman arrived the next morning and fixed it. However, the cleaning of the refrigerator, microwave and stovetop were missed. Another thing of note is the PlayStation downstairs is actually a PS2 so don't expect an updated gaming system, and the bean bags look nothing at all like what was in the pictures, they could actually be replaced as it was like sitting on the actual floor. The wood on the deck needs replacement. The home is located in a quiet friendly neighborhood and is stocked with your basic kitchen staples.

Safety Issues, Not Kid Friendly

The exterior property was not maintained, our three year old son fell into a pond that was not visible because of heavy leaves. 90% of the fire alarms were not hooked up. There was exposed electric, no cover plate in bedroom. The homeowner did so many little things to make the stay nice, little details. Hard to appreciate those things when there was the simplest and most important things that are ignored. The homeowner did offer to come fix the fire alarms, which was nice, but at that point, we were settled. A basic safety inspection should be conducted before having a family in your space. The house is not up to code

Pleasantly surprised!

The home was comfortable and clean. The Host was very gracious in supplying a lot of extras like; coffee, sugar, creamer, soap (kitchen & bathroom), paper towel, toilet paper and so much more. Thank you for your kindness. The house and location were perfect, I would rent this home again.

Great house!

Our family had a great weekend getaway. The house was convenient to the Massanutten restaurants and attractions and the kids really enjoyed the game room downstrairs. The property was clean, comfortable and in a nice neighborhood. I communicated a handful of times with the property owner and she was always very quick to respond.

Fun weekend in the woods

We were back for a second time at Skylight House. It is a wonderfully welcoming home with lots of attention to details. The main living space is bright and airy with a very comfortable seating area. Our kids loved playing downstairs in the game room. There was lots to keep everyone busy. It is a very nicely decorated home!

Graduation Weekend

You will absolutely love staying here! We rented this property during graduation weekend and it was perfect for our family of 5. The house is exactly as described in the listing with plenty of space for all of us. Everything you need for your stay is provided including a nice variety of shampoos and body wash. We really enjoyed the game room with nightly ping pong games! The neighborhood is quiet and great for daily walks. The owners were easy to communicate with when I had questions and needed to modify my reservation. We will definitely stay at this property again.

First weekend getaway at age 41 amazing

I must say the house was amazing well kept organized and clean must of all peaceful, a different scenery than what I’m use to. Quiet environment more clear thoughts and meditation wellness for myself loved it. Would definitely recommend

Perfect Family Ski Weekend Spot

What a great place to spend the weekend while skiing at Massanutten. Everything is so close by. And the house is spacious. The game room and fire pit were added fun!

activity-filled getaway

I wanted a getaway near-ish to DC with my teenagers -- this had everything we needed, access to caverns, waterpark, skiing. We watched movies and played plenty of foosball. All in all a great, short escape.

Great Place To Chill Between Snow Activities

We had a great weekend stay at this house. Very clean and spacious and the kids loved the game room. Happy there was a full assortment of cooking pans and utensils since we cooked more often than planned. Checking in and out was super easy.
