ALPINE RIVER SUITES #403 IS A DOWNSTAIRS UNIT

You are in the heart of all Helen has to offer. In the summer, you can walk to the access location for the Chattahoochee River Tubing. When you get back from tubing, grab a bite at the Pink Pig BBQ on your way back to the condo, or choose from one of the many other restaurants nearby.

Sit out on the deck and enjoy the peacefulness as you watch the river flowing by. Grill out on the provided grill while you enjoy a glass of wine from one of our local wineries. There is so much to see and do in Helen. For the kids (and adults), there is the Alpine Coaster and several locations to play mini golf. Enjoy strolling the streets of Helen - whatever the season - and do some shopping or grab a funnel cake.

Helen is a great location for family fun anytime of year. Come & visit during Oktoberfest where you can try German foods & beer, listen to authentic German music, and have the time of your life. If you prefer to enjoy nature and the more serene side of the area, there are some amazing hiking trails around Helen and outstanding waterfalls: Anna Ruby Falls near Unicoi State Park, Duke Creek Falls, or Raven Cliff Falls. There is something for everyone in Helen; make it your next vacation!

Easy check in - kitchen facilities were good - wi-fi good - communication good - rental was clean. Negative was that it was not quiet with the upstairs renters - not sure how many were staying there but they were loud.

Excellent location! We were able to walk everywhere. Great patio to enjoy the evenings and watch the tubing action on the River. Unit was clean with parking directly in front. Great communication with management company. Would stay here again.

We really enjoyed the stay. The property was clean, and the price wasn't bad. My favorite part of the trip was sitting on the back deck watching tubers floating by in the river behind the property. The weather was perfect for shopping. I will definitely come back.

Weekend Getaway

We were in town for a 2 night stay. Within walking distance of everything. We really enjoyed relaxing and drinking our coffee on the porch. Being right on the river was fun, too.

Great location, perfect size

This is right in the middle of town with easy access to everything. Parking is right in front of the room, and the view of the river is absolutely beautiful.

Our weekend stay

Great location and nice condo on the river. Gas fireplace puts out a lot of heat which was good cause it was cold! Could use a bigger tv!

Visit to Octoberdest

Unit was very clean with a great view of the stream out back. Great communication with the host. Unit is a few blocks away from all the craziness of the festivities which is a good thing

Ants 'tween the sheets!

A possible omen for the property may have been finding, or not finding, a total lack of toilet paper in the unit shortly after checking in. After 6:00 (office hours strictly enforced) so no need to call anyone, and a quick trip to Dollar General took care of that. Upon entering the bathroom 2AMish discovered ants circling the bathroom sink. Washed them down the drain. A few hours later and found them again in the sink. I notified the office that day and they apologized, stated the complex had regular pest control, and they would contact them to treat and also leave us some extra spray if needed. We were gone all day, returning after dark, and saw no notice or smell that anyone or anything had been done. Overnight the ants again populated the bathroom sink, and several times I had to drown them. Much more prevalent than the previous night, leaving us to figure they had not been able to get by. We were gone all day on Thursday, returned after dark, and during the night the ants returned in force. At 5:30 the next morning my wife exclaimed "the ants are in the bed." That was the final straw. We packed everything up and left, even though we had rented through Friday night, and our friends who stayed at a different property were also booked through Friday night. So we missed our last day in the North Georgia mountains with our friends. I emailed Cabin Rentals of Helen Friday afternoon, telling them of our disastrous stay. They stated they had handled. Not so!

Great getaway

This river side getaway had a full kitchen, living room, and bathroom with a queen sized bed tucked in. Great deck within 100 feet of the river. All the amenities of home with thoughtful touches. It is within walking distance of everything We will definitely stay again.

It was a great location, and a clean VRBO. The bed was comfortable but creekie. I noticed that rooted boards were being replaced, hopefully they will continue to replace more.. I would go back!
