Cozy cottage located next to a beautiful horse farm in Lancaster County

Welcome to "Country View Cottage" which is situated beside a working horse farm at the foot of the Welsh mountain in the heart of Rural Amish country. This modest Cape Cod is perfect for a group the size of 6, while it can sleep 9 it will be a bit cozier to do so. bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 are furnished with queen size beds that are fitted with a memory mattress, so it feels like you are sleeping on clouds. bedroom 3 is designed more for kids with a double bed bunk bed and lots of toys!

Kick back and relax whether its inside watching your favorite sports team on the 4K 55" TV or outside in the back yard watching your kids swing on the swing set in the large backyard, you might even catch a glimpse of some thorough bred racing horses on the track at the backside of the property!

If you get bored and you want to get out and see the sights and experience what Lancaster county has to offer you are in the perfect location! You are only minutes from Lapp Valley Farm, Shady Maple Smorgasbord, and new Holland Coffee CO. just to name a few!

Want to do more exploring!? It's only a 7-minute drive to Kitchen Kettle Village, and only 19 minutes from Sight and Sound Theaters. If shopping is your thing, you are only 17 minutes from Rockvale outlets and 19 minutes from Tanger Outlets.

Beautiful home

A group of friends stayed here while in the area for a day out. The home was absolutely beautiful. The host was extremely helpful with any questions we had and easy check-in. We loved being next to the horse farm. It was a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Amazing property!

We had a great time on our visit to PA and this property did not disappoint. Our first impression was how clean and welcoming the house was. The owners did a fantastic job making sure we had everything we need for a comfortable stay. They did a great job on the updated kitchen! Lastly the location was great and our children loved the neighboring horses.

Perfect get away

We had such a great time at this house. It was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated and peaceful. Our group of seven friends will treasure this trip for years to come. The welcome gift of homemade Whoopi pies were a huge hit and our host was so great to deal with. Thanks again Derek for our wonderful stay.

Great House

We had a great one night stay at this property. The pictures don't reflect how much better it looks now. The house has some updates and the property is prettier than the pictures show. We wished we could have stayed longer. The host was very responsive to us.

Wonderful Experience!

Charming home in a peaceful neighborhood. Convenient to local attractions. House is beautifully furnished and impeccably maintained. Has a large back deck to relax and view the picturesque scenery. Host Derek has thoughtfully stocked the home with a large variety of household items and has gone above and beyond to make guests feel welcomed. All of the amenities were greatly appreciated, and the whoopie pies were delicious! My family has all agreed that we would love to come back here in the future to enjoy this lovely home, the gorgeous surroundings, and the excellent hospitality that was provided by this amazing host!!

Relaxing place

This place was amazing! It has such a sense of calm and peace and was perfect for our family get-together. The bedrooms were spacious. We appreciated the snacks and whoopie pies provided. Derrick responded quickly to our questions about some light switches. It was convenient to our sightseeing adventures in the Lancaster area. Beautiful setting with the horse farm next door and the Amish buggies going by. Would definitely stay there again!

Great home!

This is a really cute property. The rooms are spacious and very clean. My only issue was the smell. It may have been polish, but I’m not sure. I’m also hyper sensitive to smells. Everything was great. My grandsons loved the swings and it was very peaceful and scenic. I would book again for sure.

Great stay!

Derek’s place was a fabulous place we enjoyed while we were in town for a wedding. It was very clean and comforting. They had a keurig stocked with several coffee options and delicious whoopie pies we enjoyed for breakfast one morning. We’d definitely choose Derek’s place again!

Enjoy a relaxing vacation here at our cozy house in Lancaster County where you can sit on the front porch, drink coffee, and watch the horses or the sunset! Or you could enjoy reading a book while lounging in the corner of the living room on a gigantic bean bag.

We hope you enjoy your stay and feel at home while you are away from your home! We have a modestly stocked kitchen so you can make yourself a savory home-cooked meal if you so desire! But if cooking is not your thing that's fine, because Shady Maple Smorgasbord is only 10 minutes away!
There are also four fabulous Coffee shops within 10 minutes as well!
