Whether for a weekend getaway or a long week long vacation this newly updated interior 4bd/3bath beach property has all the modern luxuries for that perfect getaway! Whether it’s last minute or planned in advance we offer the easy life filled with surfing, swimming, fishing, walking the beach, or relaxing in the hot tub we have it all. Spend your days playing on the beach and then relax on one of the spacious decks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A quick walk to the Rodanthe fishing pier, shops, and local restaurants offers variety and options for the adventurous vacationer. The OBX has many places to explore and do for all ages and skill sets for activities in the great outdoors. The famous lighthouses along the coastline, wildlife preserves and large sand dunes plus plenty of wide open beaches to explore. Why leave the house? An open concept updated kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances and accessories put in the summer of 2023, offers a culinary delight to the chef who enjoys cooking. Lunch or late afternoon grilling on the deck adds flexibility and variety for the outdoor chef. The 2 large decks facing the ocean are great spots to relax and hang out while playing games or soaking in the hot tub, with unobstructed beach and ocean view that stretch across miles of ocean! One of the most unique and exciting things guests have mentioned about their stay is seeing schools of dolphins and sea birds are just off the deck behind the house. The front deck of the house is a sweet spot too that boasts tremendous sunsets facing the sound side of the island. Nice place to escape for a while on your own. It is also a great spot for a late afternoon or evening tea or glass of wine. Guests enjoy the close proximity to the beach, waves running up to the back deck steps and the tranquility of the ocean sounds when sleeping. Let the adventure begin!

Young family very blessed to have two amazing kids and a new little golden doodle named Oliver. I Grew up on the west coast and lived in Washington state and attended college in Hawaii and Pennsylvania. Use to take trips to the OBX while in school. My wife grew up in Argentina and we met while I worked in Huntington Beach, CA. We enjoy traveling and exploring the world. Also, enjoy hiking and golf, and long walks on the beach. Love the outer banks and what the area has to offer. Glad we can share our property with our guests from around the world. We hope you also feel welcome staying here!

When I was in graduate school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania we would have super activities with large groups of young adults in our church on the outer banks of North Carolina. We would rent these large houses on the beach and have big bonfires and sit in the hot tub after a fun day on the beach exploring the area. It was a blast and I have fond memories of that and the amazing beauty of the area. I wanted my family and kids to experience similar things so when the opportunity presented itself we couldn't resist and we bought our first property on the beach in the quaint village of Rodanthe, called "Heads Above"!
Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial
This property is unique because it is on the beach. I mean literally on the beach. There are fewer of these type of house left in the area and you can hear the soft tranquil waves crashing on the shore from inside the house. But even better there are 3 decks to observe the majestic sea from above or to watch the magnificent sea birds fly by. Two decks are facing the ocean with unobstructed views on the back of the house and they are large with lots of patio furniture and a hot tub. The front porch deck has sound views with the most amazing sunsets! Great place to escape in the early evenings in the lounge chairs with a favorite beverage. Also there are restaurants and shops close and within walking distance or a short bike ride to the house. Convenient in all respects.
