Amazing Experience

Second time at this resort. Amazing experience. This resort never disappoints and the view is gorgeous . This condo HKH-406 had inaccuracy in what is provided. Towels and bedding were washed and had chemical and perfume smell, which was disappointing.

Was beyond our expectations

The condo was perfect for us. I love that they were able to convert the king bed into two twins for my sons. The view was amazing and we ate all our meals out on the lanai. The beach chairs and umbrella were a must have so that was so nice that they were provided. We were able to snorkel with fish and turtles right off the beach and rent snorkel gear from the resort. We loved the general store and the restaurant on site. There was nothing we would have changed and I would highly recommend this condo to anyone!

Beautiful condo and property

We stayed in early June. Photos need updated because the ocean view is WAY better than it show. Palm trees have been removed so there are unobstructed views of the ocean. Condo had everything we need and was clean and quiet. Perfect location. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Fantastic views!

This condo has such a fantastic patio and view. The photos don't do it justice. The condo itself is nice a big, great layout. The only downside was the furniture, beach gear, linens and pillows are getting a bit tired and could use an upgrade. That being said, we would stay in this particular condo again for sure if things got a little refresh.

200% better than any nearby hotel

I absolutely love this property and can’t wait to stay in the newer Konea tower or perhaps even the Luana Garden Villas for our next visit to Maui. Our corner unit with two master bedrooms and baths was incredibly spacious and well-designed—it felt like we had the entire floor to ourselves! It was a far superior experience compared to a typical hotel room with limited space. The KBM staff and hotel team—including valet, bellhops, food and beverage staff, and security—were exceptionally friendly, personable, and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. The property is beautifully maintained, and we frequently saw dedicated maintenance staff diligently tending to the grounds, including the removal of spiders, ensuring a comfortable and well-kept environment. Additionally, security personnel were present on-site, ensuring that only KBM resort guests had access to the property and keeping unwanted visitors out, which added to our sense of safety and exclusivity.

Perfect Location

We had a great stay with KBM and Honua Kai. The location of the condo to the beach, ocean, Dukes, etc. is perfect. This is our 2nd stay in this specific condo, and both times we've had an excellent vacation. Some amenities of the condo were nice also - it was nice having an umbrella and chairs available to use. At first, we didn't think we'd use them, but after our first day, we took both and made for a more enjoyable stay at the beach. Other amenities would make it nice for a family with kids. The rooms were set up well with plenty of towels, including beach towels. The new key bracelet system was nice and did lesson the worry about not having our key, because it was on our wrist most of the visit. The construction next door was in full force, but it did not bother us. The workers seemed to be aware of the condo's next door and tried to be quite, as much as possible, especially early (they start about 6:30). The condo is fairly sound proof, so unless the doors were open, the noise was minimal during the day (however, we were not in the condo often during the day). The site did try to keep the dust down, but they did produce a lot of dust, so the lanai did become dirty during the day, but we could use the broom and take a minute or two to sweep it up and wipe the table as needed. Overall, the construction would not prevent me from renting this condo once again. A couple negatives - there is an oven for baking, but there are no baking dishes or hot pads for use while baking. We do like to cook in, and with some limitations, we had to modify. The screens to the lanai were zip tied open; this prevented us from closing the screens to keep the bugs out. Unfortunately we couldn't have the lanai doors open at night because of the bugs, and this is one enjoyment we were unable to have while using this condo. I'm guessing these were zipped tied open because people didn't know how to use them and have ruined them in the past. This was disappointing, hopefully this will change. The units of Honua Kai were originally equipped with a safe in the master bedroom of the unit. Unfortunately this was removed from our unit and we were not able to secure valuables in the safe as we left for the day. We've enjoyed this safety feature int he past, but unfortunately not this year. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and do recommend this condo.

Have stayed at Honua Kai several times and as always,, it did not disappoint . Condo was great, property was great (sans a little construction noise by the pool…painting building)… will definitely be back…

KBM Resorts was terrific

I had some reservations about working with a property management group for our vacation. With other companies, we have been left disappointed. But KBM was terrific! The unit was clean and in good shape, they made the check in process super easy and they even became an information hub during a fire that caused a power outage. We love KBM and will use their services next time as well!

Beautiful Mom and Daughter trip

We love this property for it’s location and views. We had a beautiful 2 bedroom suite with ocean view. It was nice to have a kitchen for breakfast and coffee on the Lanai. There were chairs and an umbrella for days at the beach.

Convenient to many attractions, shopping and restaurants.

The condo kitchen wasn’t equipped as well as my prior VRBO properties. The Bosch appliances were in disrepair. They work but there were broken racks in dishwasher, the ice maker slow and door ice dispenser did not work properly. A/C unit for master bedroom quit at one point. Property manager very responsive to fix ice maker and A/C. Beds were comfortable, but common area furniture tired and dirty- time to refurnish. Beach narrow and very steep, so tough to take walks on beach itself. There is a boardwalk, however. No good snorkeling, but Saw lots of whale from lanai/balcony. Good sunset views. Next time I will seek out rental in Wailaia

Perfect for families

We spent a week and a half here with our three kids (2 pre-teens and a toddler) plus mother-in-law. The space was more than enough for all of us. The property provided us with a pack and play for the baby, and we paid a small extra fee for a cot for on of the big kids. They also had boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler, and beach toys, all of which we got lots of use out of. Overall super clean, super spacious, great location and a wonderful option in Maui.

Great place to stay

My wife and I were looking for a relaxing place to stay and this hit all the items. The unit was clean and the property was fantastic. We stayed on the beach most days and it was not crowded for us. We recommend staying here
