Summary:
Come relax in this cozy Studio condo (approx. 400 sq. ft.) Close to town and right on the lake! With a full kitchen, bathroom, queen day bed with a very comfortable mattress plus a sofa sleeper, flat screen smart Roku TV, plus alot of outdoor space with shared cushioned furniture, sun loungers, umbrellas, grill & firepit! Boat & kayak rentals available also to guests!

*You must be at least 25 years old to rent this condo. if booked and you are underage no refund will be given.

The Space:
This is a studio Condo which is one room (does not have a private bedroom) plus a full kitchen and outdoor decks/piers plus full private bath. No spaces are shared except some of the outdoor space but this condo also has an exclusive deck off of the kitchen with a table and chairs, grill etc.

Guest Access:
Guests have full and private access to this Studio Condo inside with a small exclusive deck off of the kitchen. There is also alot of outdoor deck and pier space that is available and shared with three other Condos!

Property had a lot of potential, but no care. Chair was urine-stained. Shower was filled with old shampoo bottles. The bed was unkempt beneath the old comforter. The kicker, though, was no wifi available (and cell service was not available for a backup). I reached out to property management from 7 a.m. the first morning of my stay since this was a writing retreat (where I need my online tools). I ran all troubleshooting to no avail. By 12:16, the property manager did not return my emails until that evening, after I called Expedia to seek a refund and had vacated the property. I tried calling the number listed for the property in Expedia, and the person who answered said she didn't have a vrbo - so the number was false. I have no idea how the property had a 9.4 rating prior to my booking - it was a solid 4 to 5 just on the shabby condition. I do not recommend (and I have photos).
A hopeful glance at the space. Small, but adequate for my trip.

We were Surprised

The photos were not exactly what we experienced. Yes everything was where it was suppose to be including a HUGE boat on the side of the dock, so we only had 3 feet of fishing (which was actually the WHOLE point of us staying there). The side of the house was being held up by concrete bags which made the floor uneven in the house. There was NOTHING in the kitchen: no salt, pepper nothing. You really had to haul it all in. The weather was nice and we went around to several lovely museums. Would not stay again.

SUPER!

My wife and I stayed a few days while we were working in Florence. The place was great, it was close to everything but it was still far enough away you couldn't see or hear any major traffic. The house was well equipped with everything you would need. We enjoyed drinking our coffee in the morning on the back deck overlooking the water. If we have to come back in that area again we will book the same place. Thanks Charles and Toni for a nice place to stay!

Perfect!

Parking was a little sketchy for my boyfriend’s truck, but if you have a normal sized vehicle, you should be fine! Very neat, tidy place to stay. We went for the fishing and we were not disappointed! We caught so many catfish, one in excess of 25 lbs! The yacht was docked to the pier which impeded the area we could fish in tremendously (ropes and the actual boat made it difficult to enjoy the entire view as well). If you’re there more than a day or two, bring some trash bags and dishwasher tabs but don’t be too upset if you forget, it’s Alabama and there’s a dollar general down the road! Overall a perfect little getaway minus the yacht (VERY frustrating). Very clean and I would have never guessed any animals had ever been in there, it smelled so clean! Thank you for opening your home to us!!

No WiFi, No Verizon , No Internet

Cute on the inside. Outside was dirty. Bed comfy. Big boat blocked our view. Not being able to use my phone due to no WiFi and internet was super frustrating. We were there to visit my daughter who lives in Florence and we couldn’t call her. Also, the tv wouldn’t play any live shows. Left a day early.

Awesome place to stay. Just right for 2 people. Has everything you need. So peaceful and quiet. I will definitely be back.

More of a three-season rustic cottage than Condo

We happened to stay during some unusually cold weather, so it was really cold the 1st night, we had to get an extra heater the following day and that helped a great deal. The benefit for us was we could bring our two kitties with us, in addition we were close by to where Several family members live.

Great Getaway

I met my childhood best friend for a fun getaway for Shoals Fest and so glad we found this space! Its small but had everything we needed and we loved being on the water. (Although there was a large boat docked that hindered the view a bit…but thats what the dock is for so that’s just me be being selfish lol). Communication was great and being dog friendly was a huge plus. The only down side as mentioned in other reviews is the wifi is spotty at best so don’t expect to watch tv or access the internet. I couldn’t really text or get calls while inside so truly disconnected that weekend. If you’re looking for something clean, quiet and affordable, this is great!
