Welcome to River Mist Lodge. This charming cabin sits right about the beautiful Coosawattee River located in a gated community known as the Coosawattee River Resort. Bring your own tubes and walk down to the water's edge to enjoy a day of tubing. The back yard also has a fire pit for you to enjoy making smores or just relaxing with a glass of wine listening to the rushing waters of the river. Beautifully decorated and has everything that you would need to have a memorable stay. If you enjoy fishing, tubing, hiking, having coffee on the back porch, then you have found your ideal getaway. This cabin has a spacious floor plan with sleeping accommodations for 10. After a long day of adventures, come back to the cabin and enjoy the hot tub. Ample space to enjoy foosball or play a game of cards in the loft area. Plenty of space for everyone in the kitchen and attached dining area. Hang out with family and friends and make some good memories around a homemade meal. This getaway hot spot is conveniently located in Ellijay, home to the famous "Georgia Apple Festival" and only about 25 minutes from historic downtown Blue Ridge where unique shopping and fabulous dining awaits you. Beautifully appointed, well maintained cabin. I hosted a book club retreat for women from Atlanta during the apple festival. I came with fall decor to give the cabin a little lift. To my suprise the cabin was already decorated for fall! Amazing cabin! Amazing Host! Would rent again.

Birthday Celebration

Four families gathered for the week to celebrate Oma’s 70th birthday. The space was perfect for all10 of us. We arrived and everything was as stated and the house was spotless. Kitchen was well equipped and large enough for a chef and the sous. We enjoyed the game room(s), the fire pit and the ample deck space. The deer were plentiful but the fish were not. Proximity to wineries, restaurants, hiking trails and the best river tubing make this location one of the best. Loved the cabin and will return if/when we have the opportunity

Relaxing Retreat

Property is amazing. The area is very peaceful and beautiful. The river runs directly behind the cabin providing relaxing views and even more relaxing sounds of running water. We had an adult retreat for some old friends to reconnect over a nice dinner and then a long night around the camp fire enjoying our company and the sounds of the flowing water and views of a full moon. Excellent hosts. Great attention to detail. WiFi works great. Comfortable beds. Great instructions for everything. Versatile property that could equally well be a family get away.

Great vacation

The home was wonderful and great for our group of 10 ranging from age 18 to 83. We had places to gather as a group and places to relax alone if desired. We all had a great time but some of us were not able to navigate the trip down to the river or fire pit because of the steep incline but watched the fun from the wonderful porch above. The kitchen was well equipped except for a large pot for cooking pasta, etc. needed for a large group. My only other suggestion would be installing safety bars in the bathrooms, especially the bathroom on the main level with the tub. That was very hard to use for the older folks' in our group. We all had a great week, the 18-year-old had a blast feeding the deer, and he became the deer whisperer as the deer just seemed to know when he was coming out to feed them. Some of the younger ones in the group tubed down the river, and the older ones enjoyed the peacefulness on the porch and watching others (and geese) float down the river. We had a wonderful time in this wonderful "cabin". Thank you

Beautiful cabin

We had an amazing trip and the house is beautiful. It was truly a relaxing place with so many animals. We had as many as 17 deer in our yard. The kitchen could use a larger pot for cooking. The owner is wonderful and kept in communication. I did not feel the cleaning crew was doing what they should and the owner was addressing. Overall this is a great cabin with a great layout for a family.

Wonderful family vacation

The cabin was beautiful and in an awesome setting. This was our family vacation after Christmas and we enjoyed the cabin as well Ellijay and the surrounding small towns. We also enjoyed watching the deer come right up to our cabin in small herds. The cabin had all of the amenities needed to have a wonderful time.

Cozy Christmas Cabin

My parents, aunts, and children/grands had a wonderful time at the cabin. The 30 year olds enjoyed the bottom floor and s’mores by the fire pit. The 70+ loved chatting and watching tv on the main level by the fireplace. The cabin had everything we needed and wanted. The host, Wendy, was very prompt and professional with her communication and helped us navigate the process smoothly. I’ll definitely visit again!

River Retreat

Our family enjoyed staying at the Rivermist cabin. Three generations were able to enjoy the river, watch deer and spend much needed time together. There was more than enough room for everyone. The cabin was perfect!

Great cabin on the river

The cabin was perfect for our family of six adults and four children. It had everything we needed, plenty of useable space, covered deck, fire pit and was exceptionally clean.

Great spot for friend reunion

Tons to do around d Elijay and Blue Ridge, but just as great to stay at the house and use the many resources inside and out. We had the best time!

Spacious and Fun

Had the pleasure of staying at Wendy’s cabin with my friends for a getaway weekend, and just hang out and eat food. There was enough space for everyone and everyone had a good time, a few friends even went tubing down the river.

We loved our time here!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. From communication with the owners, to the gorgeous house and property, we were very impressed. The river was so fun to float and we enjoyed our time around the fire pit. The kids entertained themselves for hours with the games in the loft. The downstairs area made the perfect movie watching area. We would definitely come back to this property again!

Mothers Day Memorial Day Trip

We always give our Mothers a Memorial Day Weekend Trip to Elijay for Mothers Day. This is the one time of year that our families get together to relax on a long weekend. This is our favorite trip of the year. Since we are three separate couples, we love the three-floor concept. We would love to come back to this cabin every year. Out of the last ten years, this was by far the best cabin we’ve stayed in while in Elijay!

This home is beyond amazing. The property is breathtaking, the home was spotless and just all around a wonderful relaxing environment. The best part is sitting outside in the covered porch listening to the rushing water of the river. Will definitely return with my family or friends.

Awesome spot on the river!

We celebrated a friend's birthday and really enjoyed this cabin! Great place to have plenty of hang out space and/or relax and enjoy nature. Cabin is properly supplied with cooking utensils and pots/pans/bowls. Beds are comfortable. TVs in every bedroom really a bonus too. If the weather was warmer, would have been fun to hit the river and do a little tubing. Little bit of a snafu when getting through the guard gate during check in- but the owner was super responsive and got it taken care of (felt like more of this issue was on the community side versus the owner side). Would definitely come up again to enough the cabin and the community!

Girls trip!

Amazing weekend at this amazing home! We loved every minute of our visit. The home is absolutely beautiful and has amazing views. The beds are so comfortable, the living room has great space for hanging out and there is everything you could need for a great stay. Wendy was great to communicate with before, during and after our visit! We will definitely be back!
