Welcome to The Blue Barrell at San Remo, on scenic 30A. This super cute coastal cottage is newly renovated, offering first floor accommodations for immediate Beach and Pool access with gulf views. Walk out to the oversized patio and you are ten steps to the pool and a few more steps to our PRIVATE beach! The absolute best location for families with young children or older guests. This hidden gem on 30A is nestled in a luxury beach front gated community. No front desk check in hassle to worry about. Just park and walk into your vacation.
San Remo guests have access to the gym, seasonally heated pool, jacuzzi, and grilling areas. The kitchen of The Blue Barrell is fully equipped for nights you are not frequenting some of the best fine dining spots the emerald coast has to offer; many of which are within walking distance. Bonus: We are immediately off the 30A Pedestrian/Bike path that goes from Dune Allen (west) to Rosemary (east), so we encourage our guests to rent bikes for the whole family during your stay!

This was our first stay and we loved this unit! It’s a great location and the unit is decorated so nicely with a lot of charming touches. It exceeded our expectations! Also, great job by the housekeeper. It was very clean! The kitchen is also extremely well equipped and all the beach equipment was such a nice bonus!

A Thanksgiving Beach Trip to Remember

This thoughtfully designed condo at San Remo had everything we needed to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. I would highly recommend this spot the next time that you’re looking to relax and unplug by the water on Santa Rosa Beach.

Cozy condo, wonderful location!

From the moment we entered The Blue Barrell, we felt relaxed and right at home. The decor was beautiful and cozy. So many items we've had to buy on past vacations were already stocked in the condo. Christie thought of everything! We loved having the first floor walkout patio, and being just steps to the pool, hot tub and beach made for a perfect location. Loved that the pool and hot tub were open until 10.. We are night owls! Our golf cart rental made for fun, fresh air outings to Gulf Place, Blue Mountain Creamery, and we even ventured down to Seaside for some shopping and food. Parking at the condo was very convenient for both car and golf cart. LOVED San Remo and The Blue Barrell!

Love Blue Barrell

We have stayed at Blue Barrell 3 times and love it. The decor, location, and hosts are wonderful. You won’t be disappointed!

5 star vaca!

We traveled with three young children and aging parents- this truly fit all ages perfectly. The proximity of the pool and beach were fantastic, layout of the condo was extremely spacious, and we walked to breakfast, ice cream, and shopping! We wished we could have completed our stay (hurricane Helene decided to arrive!) but hope to be back soon. Christie did a fantastic job stocking the house with everything we needed and then some, and interior decor was beautiful.

Excellent Stay

Let me start by saying Christie is an AMAZING host! She’s also an excellent communicator, which made our stay easy. The location and condo were great. Felt really chill. My teen boys enjoyed it too. Shops and eateries within walking distance. Easy walk down to the beach. Pool was clean and close by. Others in the condo were cool and kind; no issues with noise. I highly recommend.

Wonderful vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at San Remo. One of the best vacations we’ve had. Being on the ground floor with children was so nice due to the amount of beach items we carried back and forth. The pool was steps away and easy for our children to go back and forth for lunch, restroom, etc. The pool was always clean and the grounds were well taken care of. The beach is one of a kind and a short walk from the pool. Christie was always available if needed and made sure we had all info before arriving. We loved San Remo and will be back!

The perfect spot!

The condo was super convenient, fully equipped with everything you need (even flashlights for crab hunting). When they say “10 steps to the pool” they are exactly right. The pool area never felt crowded, plenty of seating and plenty of personal space while you were in the pool. The beach and ocean were perfect! Beautiful blue green (clear) water and soft white sand. Restaurants, shops and ice cream are very conveniently located. We vacation 1-2 times per year up and down the gulf coast, this was the top spot for our family and will definitely return. If you are looking for a beach vacation I would highly recommend San Remo!

Great location

The condo was a great location and updated beautifully. It was perfect for our family which included teenagers and small kids. Steps away from the pool and a short walk to the beach on the boardwalk. The beach was beautiful with clear water and white sand. Our family had a great time and we will be back!

We enjoyed our week at San Remo so much! This location is perfection. Right out the door to the pool and a very private beach compared to so many others. We were able to find a front row spot for our chairs even after 9am! We will try to book here again in the future for sure.

Perfect beach getaway

Blue Barrel was perfect in every way. The layout was great for our family of 4. The beds were so comfortable! We loved walking out the door right to the pool, beach & large hot tub or just sitting in the patio enjoying the views. The kitchen had just what we needed for meals in but we really enjoyed walking the 10 min for some great meals & live music. Our favorites were Perfect Pig, Papa Surf (backyard patio), and Red Bar (30 min bike ride). We hope to be back again one day!

October on the beach

Stayed a week at the Blue Barrel unit in San Remo. Have been to this complex several times. Can’t be best for families, especially with young children. The unit is ground level making Beach and pool access especially convenient. The unit is well equipped and has been updated. Host very accommodating. Recommend.

Perfection!

After our trip to Maui was cancelled, we booked this property for ten days. Right from the start, communication with Christie was above and beyond, and remained that way throughout our entire stay. She even had colorful leis waiting for each of us when we arrived, knowing our Hawaii trip had been cancelled... It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel instantly welcomed and valued! It won our kids over right away. The whole condo was decorated with such attention to detail and had to be the cutest one we have ever stayed in! The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable, and the short walk to the beach was so convenient. Our kids loved the easy access to the pool, and the entire grounds were clean, quiet, and well maintained. The property is close to some great restaurants and stores as well. There were a few games we enjoyed playing a on several evenings, and extra beach chairs and toys were also available to use. The washer and dryer were so convenient and worked great. The fridge was spacious for all of our groceries. And the hooks everywhere were awesome — a small detail, but as a mom of kids who default to dropping towels and swimsuits on the floor, it is possibly the little detail I appreciated most! Christie’s attention to detail and thoughtfulness covered everything we could’ve wanted or needed for our stay! I really cannot say enough great things about our time here. We hope to go back as soon as possible!

Most amazing condo on 30A

This is our 2nd year staying at Blue Barrell. We hope there will be many more summers spent at this beautiful condo. The owners are wonderful!! The communication was beyond expectation. These are good people! We're thankful for everything they provided and look forward to vacay 2024.

"About us." Newly married during the pandemic, we cancelled our big 2020 wedding at the last minute and decided it would be just as fitting to get married under a large southern oak tree instead. Once married, we had no where to go for our honeymoon other than a little secret beach on a hidden highway called 30A. This was not our first trip to this coast by any means, but this was where we fell in love again and again. A few years later we have found ourselves a slice of heaven at San "Dreamo" (our nickname for San Remo). Who needs a big wedding and a honeymoon when you have a forever honeymoon. ❤

When we found this property it was love at first sight. My eyes literally welled with tears it was that perfect. Every inch of it was designed with meaning and love. I hope you love it the same way that we do.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I think our favorite thing about this property is the location. A short walk to the west will land you in the heart of Gulf Place with all of the amenities there (Shunk Gulleys, Pecan Jacks, The Perfect Pig to name a few). Goat Feathers is to the east, Local Catch, The Grove and Basmatis restaurant and Mimmos Italian. There is no end in choices for good things to eat that are within walking/biking distance.
From the beach, we have a private boardwalk that is no where near a public access; much of our beach to the east is a non-rental zone, which lends itself to optimum privacy.
In the mornings we like to walk to the east toward Draper Lake. Once there, it is absolutely magic the way the lake meets the ocean.
In the evenings, just look to the west for a fire-in-the-sky sunset like you can see no where else. It is truly something to behold.
