AMAZING VIEW, Main lake home, boathouse and PET FRIENDLY Lake Gaston

Your vacation will start the moment you see the gorgeous view from the cottage.
From the boathouse, you can use the multiple life jackets, kayak, paddle board, floats, fishing poles and lounge chairs.
*Adult supervision is required for all people on the dock under the age of 17. Please have children wear life vests.

We are 5 minutes from the Food Lion and other restaurants. Jenny cakes offers coffee and breakfast items is just outside the neighborhood.
The upstairs has a bedroom (queen bed) and bathroom with the main kitchen. Downstairs has 2 bedrooms (one with 2 twins and another one with a queen) and a bathroom and a kitchenette. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, spices and small appliances (instapot, slow cooker, blender, Keurig coffee maker). There are also complimentary breakfast items to start your day.
There is also a pull out sofa (queen and twin) on the downstairs Living area. There is also a ping pong table and board games for your enjoyment.
Linens and towels are included.

We are also walking distance to the community amenities that offers a large pool, clubhouse, swim area with
a large and oversized sun pier, 13 boat slips, playground, charcoal grills, picnic tables. The subdivision also has a boat launch for use in the subdivision. This needs to be requested if needed as there is a private key for access.
** Note that the boat and jet skis are for owners use only. Also, we are in the main area of the lake and waves can get strong therefore for the safety of the boat dock and your boat, i strongly recommend using the clubhouse. I have recommendation for boat and jetski rentals.
Pet policy - $125 for the first dog, $50 for the second. This fee is for the entire stay.

Loved our vacation.. since we sold our home on Lake Gaston its been hard to find a rental that allows the same freedoms as our own place once did. Having our pups on vacation is a must and not every place allows this.. great accessibility to the lake, privacy, cleanliness, and great communication with the property owner. And amazing views

Fantastic

Fantastic lake house and loved being right on the main lake this year. Restaurants by boat and land were very convenient. The community dock was very close and we felt safe leaving the boat there. Swimming was nothing but the best and we were able to catch some large catfish right off the dock. Anna is a thoughtful host, responded to all my communication in a timely manner and also checked in just to make sure we had everything we needed.

July visit

We had a wonderful stay! The kids especially loved the dock, jumping off the second-floor platform, and spending time fishing. The view from the house was absolutely stunning, and on the night of July 5th, we were lucky to enjoy a spectacular fireworks show right across the lake, an unforgettable experience, especially while making s'mores.The neighborhood was peaceful and welcoming. We made use of both the community boat ramp and pool, which were great additions to our stay. We also really appreciated that the home was dog-friendly, it made the trip even more enjoyable for the whole family.The owners were incredibly responsive.

Wonderful Thanksgiving!

Our family had a wonderful time at the lake. The house was perfect and we will definitely be back. The view of the lake was unbelievable from both levels. The best view we have ever had at Lake Gaston!

Great holiday weekend stay!

Great view on the lake! Dock was where we spent most of our time. Whole family enjoyed jumping from the top deck!! Kids also loved playing ping pong. Fireworks from across the lake for Labor Day was a nice treat. Would stay again.

Weekend Getaway

The views of the lake are so relaxing, the house was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinners. Fishing off the dock was great, caught catfish, bass, sunfish, crappie. We will definately be returning. Thank you again for letting us stay at your lake house!

Lake Life at its best!

We had a wonderful week at this lovely property! The house is on the main lake and only minutes from town. It’s a perfect location! We rented a boat which we docked at the club and enjoyed boating, the pool, and swimming in the lake! The property manager is a great communicator and was very available to answer questions! It was a perfect rental!

Great location - quick access to lake businesses, community club and restaurants. Fantastic views. Kids took wakeboard lessons, fished from boat house, swam in community pool, had ping pong tournaments, used provided paddle board/floats/lawn chairs, tied up our boat at community docks. Grandparents stayed on upper level, kids and grandchildren on the lower level. Lots of little nitches to be alone or with group. Had a great stay, no problems.

Fabulous Lake Gaston visit

Beautiful property. Well equipped. Owner thought of just about anything you could need. Even a life jacket for our little one. From the living room it feels like you’re on a ship! That said, property is on a steep slope with stairs so might not be perfect for everyone. 2 queen bedrooms and a room with 2 singles worked perfectly. Separate living spaces on each floor provided a bit of privacy if you have littles that you’re trying to get to sleep. Hope to return to Anna’s beautiful home.

Amazing location and view!

House is right on a point with nice deep water for swimming off the dock and great boathouse with upper platform to jump off of. Two of the bedrooms have huge windows to wake up to a perfect view of the water with almost no obstruction. No laundry on premise but great grassy yard, multiple outdoor seating areas on porches and fire pit. Convenient to the grocery store.

Weekend getaway

This was a perfect place to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. My husband loved going down to the dock and fishing, he caught many ( which he released) , but he could have kept. He just loved every minute of it , plus watching boats zoom by. I sat up in house and peacefully read with lovely view of lake, boaters, and sunset. It was perfect!

Lovely lake front getaway

This house is really lovely! Despite a huge storm keeping us off the lake we had a great weekend... house was really well equipt and very comfortable! Views are outstanding! Dock is great. Really comfy couches/ beds. Only minor things...lots of steps (not a problem for us but could be for others), no TV in basement hangout area...we traveled with teens and they wanted to be watching YouTube on the TV while I wanted to read my book with a view of the lake.... extra TV downstairs would have given us space to separate. As I said... minor.... mostly an excellent rental!

Beautiful view!

This home had a beautiful view. Sunrise and sunset, both. The house was completely stocked with everything we needed (including linens and towels, which was very convenient). Was a little chilly outside and we didn’t get to enjoy the dock, but I’m positive it would be perfect in the summer time. Nice large tv to enjoy any movies and games downstairs for kids that may be in your group. We were also allowed to bring our little 4 legged best friend to enjoy it with us. Be sure to stop by Jenny Cakes while you’re in the area. Pastries are fantastic! Thanks for a great stay and sharing your home with us. Hopefully we will be back when it warms up.

Fantastic Wide Water View

This rental was situated on one of the widest parts of Lake Gaston and the house had huge picture windows that maximized the water view. The decor was very attractive and the main kitchen was modern and well stocked by the owner, Anna. There was another kitchen downstairs next to a spacious seating area and ping pong table which we really enjoyed. Just outside the sliding glass doors was another comfy seating area, a couple of captain’s chairs and a table with 6 chairs. The upstairs deck also had captain’s chairs…great for watching the sunset. We think we were the first to use the new firepit, an added benefit of this house. We also used the 2-person kayak and the doggy life vest provided. Getting out on the water in our rented pontoon boat from a nearby marina made our stay even better. Anna’s recommendations of local dining and coffee shops was very helpful and we enjoyed them all! Great getaway!

Heaven on the Hill

Let me start by plainly stating that I highly recommend this property. To begin, the owner was very communicative and responsive throughout the entire booking and vacation-stay period. The property has been recently renovated and was clean and extremely well-outfitted for all of our needs (kitchen items, linens, games, outdoor furniture and water toys, etc.). We didn’t need anything that wasn’t already provided (there was even pet items like food bowls and a dog crate, if needed). Now about the property itself: This is great location on Lake Gaston. Its located on a peninsula, high overlooking the main body of the lake….the views are fantastic. Its close to amenities (like coffee shops, ice cream, and Food Lion), and our stay included access to the subdivision’s clubhouse/pool, as well as access to the community boat slips. We did bring our boat to the lake and slipped it at the community center/clubhouse, which was a short 2-min walk from the property. One item of note: The hours for the club are 8-8, so you’ll need to plan access to your boat accordingly (the area is fenced and can be locked. There’s a community boat ramp about 2 mins from the slips, so it’s easy to launch/retrieve your boat. Overall, we had a fantastic time on the property and have already discussed coming back again for another vacation. A huge thanks to the owner (Anna) for making our vacation rental easy and enjoyable, and we appreciate her offering her (beautiful) home for our use. -Eric in Richmond

Amazing lake front property!

We spent 5 days at this property with my two teens and two 79 year old parents. From the first communication with the owner, Anna, I knew this would be a great trip. Anna is so helpful and very quick to answer all questions (even when she was on her own vacation in a different time zone!) We even had a birthday cake waiting for us since I had mentioned we were celebrating my Dad's birthday. The neighborhood is fantastic and quiet. We didn't use the pool or boat slips at the community center, but we did go look at it and it looks great. The house is beautifully updated (in June 2022), bathrooms have spacious showers (no tubs, for those with little kids). We shared a bathroom with two teen girls and there was plenty of counter space. So nice to have all the towels and linens provided (plus plenty of extras). You do need to bring your own beach towels (just FYI). The pull-out sofabed in the lower level (and there is a pull-out chair too) was nice when one kid decided they wanted more space. I did mention to Anna that the house is bright, so adding some curtains would be great for the future (she said that was on the list). We slept great, so it wasn't a problem and the upside is there are tons of big, beautiful windows to look at the lake. This house might not be best for families with little kids only because there are lots of stairs and the water at the dock is a little choppy (we loved it, but I remember what it was like traveling with little kids). It was not a problem for us or my parents (and my Dad has bad knees). The kitchen is amazing! Every higher end appliance you could ever want (instant pot, crockpot, air fryer, keurig (including a coffee setup), rice cooker, ninja blender). We cooked several meals and it was nice there were lots of spices available too. There isn't a table in the main living area (there is one downstairs where there is even another kitchen), but there is a countertop bar seating at the kitchen island. We were so glad there was so much comfortable seating in the main area (tradeoff of not having a table and I think I prefer the sectional and large couch). So many rentals have beds for 8 people and one small sofa so if you are with a large family you can't all hang out and watch a movie together. Plus the TV is better than the one we have at home, LOL. We didn't have an issue with the WIFI and there is even a charging station. Beautiful home and great trip!
