The location of the home was not ideal, as the neighborhood was dirty and not very welcoming or safe. There was a dirty old mattress in the front yard, and a driveway to a separate property that was also a rental behind this one, which created some parking troubles with the other tenant due to a lack of communication from the host. The other tenant left a nasty note and was rather cold during our overlapping time. Inside the home, we were met with dirty, sagging floors, a moldy washer-dryer unit, one used roll of paper towels, one unused roll of toilet paper, several partial rolls of used toilet paper, and a broken small sofa. The beds were less than comfortable, creaking with any movement, and one of them sagged in the center due to a lack of support on the frame. At one point in the stay, we found a roach. The floors were dirty and left marks on our feet and socks. The kitchen was overall was clean; however, it had dirty and old cooking utensils, pots, pans, the like. For the price we paid and on such short notice, it worked great for our needs, especially for a quick last-minute spring break trip.

Great Pensacola hide away

The property was great. Its located in a transitional neighborhood that seemed safe. Beautifully decorated. Only problem was with microwave. The electricity of the house couldn't support the wattage of the microwave and it constantly tripped the breaker. Overall the stay was great!!

Beware of Scam

I messaged the host prior to arriving at the property for check-in instructions, and got I no response. I arrived to the property, and I messaged the host for check-in instructions and I got no response. I called the host and I left a voicemail. I waited for 60 minutes, still no response. I called VRBO customer service who also attempted to contact the host, and they did not get a response either. Because I had driven several hours, was not familiar with the area, and was not getting a response, I requested a refund from VRBO and checked into a hotel. VRBO said the refund would be processed within 24 hours. The host finally responded 2 hours later after I had already found alternative accommodations. I am writing this review because VRBO has not processed my cancellation and refund, and I already paid for alternative accommodations. None of this is my fault. If I was allowed to check in at the agreed upon time frame that I prepaid for, there would be no issue. I will consider removing this review once or if I get my money back. I've otherwise been scammed!

The refund has been refunded in full on our end. We are a super host on the other platform and it can take up to 6 weeks per Vrbo to reflect on your account.

Our stay at this VRBO was disappointing. The home did not feel clean—our socks were visibly dirty after walking around the house, and the washing machine had mold in the soap dispenser.The living room had only one couch and two desk chairs, and the couch was broken. Although the owner seemed surprised when we reported it, previous reviews mentioned the same issue months earlier.The property also had uneven floors that shifted underfoot, creating a safety concern. In addition, a second rental unit shared the driveway, which was not clearly disclosed. There was also a mattress left in the front yard during our stay, which further detracted from the property’s appearance and upkeep.Combined with limited communication from the owner, it was uncomfortable when a vehicle entered the property late at night.Overall, the cleanliness, maintenance issues, shared driveway arrangement, and lack of communication made this stay fall well below our expectations.

Amazing property and host! It is further from the beach than I originally thought, but that was my fault and not bad at all! Very reasonably priced and a wonderful stay!
