Built specifically as a retreat for the owners to rest and rejuvenate in this quiet and secluded setting, the pond on the property is an enjoyable place for catch-and-release fishing, a morning cup of coffee, or taking in a sunset. This 2-story, 3-bedroom, 2-bath luxury barndominium was completed in 2020. It has 2 queen-size beds and 2 bunk beds, accommodating up to 8 guests. Featuring a full kitchen, an open-concept living area, unbeatable country views, outdoor living, a fire ring, and so much more! Wild Blue Yonder can be a wonderful vacation getaway or the perfect scene to host business visitors. Located on a quaint country road, it is the perfect place to get away and enjoy nature. Just minutes from the city of Greenville, Texas, local lakes, Splash Kingdom Water Park, and other local attractions. This quiet home sits on 4.6 acres, making it the ideal place to stretch out and roam. The large porch provides a great place for outdoor lounging and plenty of relaxing, eating, or rocking while listening to the toads croak, songbirds sing, and the wind whisper through large oak trees. Wild Blue Yonder is humbly offered to share the restful tranquility of this country gem with travelers to Hunt County, Texas.

Returned to this Slice of Heaven... Still wonderful!

We travel to the area regularly as we have family nearby. We've stayed in a half-dozen or so properties in the area. Without question, Wild Blue Yonder is so much our favorite that I'm a bit nervous writing this review (I want it to be available for our next trip!) WBY is convenient... just a couple of minutes off the highway BUT it is private with a wide-open feel. It was clean, well-provisioned, warm and welcoming, secure, and serene. My teenage son had dependable wi-fi, room to be alone when he wanted, and room to join us all in the common areas when he wanted that. There are plenty of games, a perfect table to use them, and a kitchen that is fabulous for cooking for a group or just brewing your morning coffee (both a pod brewer AND a coffee pot). The covered porch is fabulous for taking in the beautiful property and is adjacent to a wonderful firepit. There is plenty of firewood and we enjoyed this tremendously on our first trip (didn't find time this stay, unfortunately). The front porch also looks out over the lovely pond so nature lovers will have plenty to observe. We had one glitch at check-in but I was able to get hold of the property management and owner VERY quickly and received multiple follow-up messages afterward. This was even more impressive considering that we had a VERY late arrival. My family and I look forward to many more stays at Blue Yonder ands I hope you and yours make treasured memories there as well.

Wedding weekend

Property management was amazing, helpful, and the place was perfect for what we needed. Cannot say enough good things. It is a lovely countryside setting for a fun family weekend or longer. We saw wildlife—a fox in the nearby pasture and an owl hooting at night. Living spaces are well maintained , spotlessly clean with attention to details. Lots of fun games and puzzles for all ages. We highly recommend this picturesque property!!

RENTER BEWARE

We received a text from the property manager 4 hours after checking in stating the owners parents had seen someone smoking on the porch and we were going to be asked to leave as they had already contacted VRBO to initiate canceling our reservation. This was an honest misunderstanding as the VRBO listing states no smoking but does not state that includes the full outdoor area of this 4.6 acre property. This could have easily been a notification to clarify their meaning of "no smoking" but that courtesy was not granted to us. We had to scramble to locate other accommodations immediately. Keep in mind, renting this property means you are being watched and will be kicked out if you overlook or, as in our case, reasonably misunderstand a property policy. The property manager stated he understood how we could have misunderstood the no smoking policy extending to the outside area but his "hands were tied" and I was declined to speak directly with the property owner that was making the final decision. As the title of my review says, RENTER BEWARE!

Excellent Stay!

This VRBO was perfect to house the bridal party for a wedding we were in that weekend. It was clean and we had everything we needed. The host even brought us a fresh loaf of sourdough! The sign for the entrance to the property was pretty small and the address in google maps takes you past the entrance, so it was difficult to find at first, but we got there. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
