Enjoy and relax on this waterfront home on Rennie Lake! Brody's Camp is located on a quiet, scenic road adjacent to state-owned land that contains an entire trail system for hiking, snowmobiling , snow shoeing, and 4x4's. No need to load and unload your toys with the trail system in your backyard! Our lakefront home boasts a shallow, sandy-bottom upon entry.
This all season getaway is an ideal location that's just minutes from downtown Traverse City; including shops, restaurants, wineries, and breweries. Just to note, our house is cleaned with eco-friendly products and essential oils!
** Please note that during the peak season (June - September) checkin/checkout will occur ONLY on Fridays & Saturdays starting 2024. Thank you for your understanding!

Cottage is in a secluded location on a lake and across the street from ORV and mountain bike trails. Renovations on the house are nice and had plenty of room for our group.

This home was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and felt warm and welcoming. The owners were incredibly responsive and helpful, always quick to assist. Every detail was attended to — we had everything we needed for a perfect weekend. We’ll definitely be back!

Four adults enjoyed a week at Brody's Camp. We especially appreciated having access to the lake from the backyard and the location was excellent - close enough to Traverse City to get whatever we needed, but far enough to feel like we were out in the countryside.The kitchen as plenty of dishware and cookware but there are a few tools missing, so if you are planning anything that requires specialized equipment, you may want to bring it with you. Overall, though, a very comfortable home in a wonderful setting.

Lovely , quiet location! Loons in the mornings and evenings to greet you. Check-in was easy breezy. Very nice interior!! Kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated the open floor plan. Master bedroom and bath looked lovely. Other bedrooms were quite comfortable. Loved having 3. bathrooms! Loved being able to park our vehicle in attached garage. Outside area by the lake was pleasant, little sandy area w/ chairs and fire pit. Patio was nice to sit at for meals outside. Unfortunately, patio umbrella was not operational at the time. Lovely to be able to paddle off the dock in provided kayaks and roam Rennie Lake. One of the kayak paddles needs some attention but it worked. Lily Pad worked but also may need some Lovin. Some of my party felt that Brody’s Camp could use alittle love particularly on the outside ie. Some railings issues on upper deck, some fresh paint, some sprucing up. All a matter of opinion and all opinions count. All in all, I believe my crew had quite an enjoyable week at Brody’s Camp. Addressing a few maintenance details will make it even better in the future. Cathleen, our host, was responsive to lower level bathroom issues we were having and for other questions. Thank you for making our week in Traverse City quiet and relaxing.

Great Lake stay near Traverse City

Enjoyed the lake and the house was perfect for our needs. Really enjoyTraverse city and the Leelenau Penisula.

Beautiful location and the pictures of property were accurate but the property was clearly neglected. Piles of old construction scraps cluttered the backyard storage area and there was no patio umbrella during 95 degree heat. It took the owners 3 days to arrange for a replacement umbrella to be delivered, when they knew that the previous guests had broken the umbrella. The downstairs toilet had to plunged after anyone in the home took a shower. The property advertised that it slept twelve. That means 12 plungings a day or you risk clogging it. The most upsetting part is the fact that they did NOT disclose that outside boats are not permitted on the lake and there is NO public boat launch on the lake. This was a significant omission and when we raised it with the owners they effectively told us “to figure it out”.

Wonderful property very close to Traverse City and other attractions such as Sleeping Bear and Old Mission. Great hosts, place was immaculate. The kids loved the two kayaks provided as well as the paddle boat.

Beautiful area, close enough to TC that we even biked there to get bagels one morning. The house is comfortable for a big family. The kayaks and paddle boat were great to have, our kids loved it.

Wonderful vacation!

Our vacation at Brody’s camp was just what we needed. The house is beautiful and just what we needed for some rest and relaxation. We kayaked, paddleboated, and read at the house. But, Traverse City was just a short 20 minute drive so we spent time exploring the town as well. Had an amazing dinner at Amical, enjoyed an afternoon at a winery (Chateau Chantal) and climbed the dune at Sleeping Bear Dunes. We loved how inviting the house was and especially loved the primary bedroom . . . It was so peaceful! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

Overall its a nice place but I do not feel it is worth the money spent. We chose this house as we had several family members traveling with us and needed the space. While there was plenty of space the rules/restrictions regarding use of washer/dryer as well as dishwasher were not accomodating to a large group. Furthermore we had issues with use/operation of some of the appliances.

Beautiful and peaceful stay

We stayed at Brody’s Camp for an entire weekend for The Cherry Capitol Cup soccer tournament. The home was beautiful and accommodated our family perfectly. We loved that it was a dog friendly stay, though we ended up not bringing our dogs, I’m sure they would have loved it if we did. The hosts were wonderful and very prompt in their response to any questions or concerns we had. We would love to book again in the future!

Nice house in a peaceful setting

We stayed here for our annual friends weekend and really enjoyed the house and location. We were able to enjoy the hustle of downtown Traverse City during the day and then chill in a peaceful setting at night.

This property is unique in that it is surrounded by state owned land containing an entire trail system that anyone can enjoy hiking, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and 4x4 exploring. Rennie lake is a private access, all sports lake for your enjoyment. Additionally, Bass Lake and Spider Lake are just down the road with public access for additional fishing a/o lake activities. Brody's Camp is conveniently located just outside Traverse City where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants, festivals, bike trails, breweries, and the "Napa Valley" of the Midwest! Although Summer is our most popular season, don't forget to visit in the fall for the beautiful color explosion and the winter for activities such as snowmobiling on the trail system, 2 ski resorts in T.C, and less than an hour to Boyne/Cadillac ski areas.
