Dancing Tides is an oceanfront property in quaint Gouldsboro, Maine: Nestled in a wooded property with full ocean view. Equipped with an inviting private deck overlooking the ocean, you and your family are certain to enjoy! You don't want to miss out on this beautiful location!

Dancing Tides is a perfect spot for a couple's retreat, a small group of friends, or small family to get back to their roots and enjoy a serene and intimately Maine atmosphere. The large deck provides ample room for relaxation and elevated views of the ocean and Maine wildlife.

Dancing Tides has a rustic esthetic with modern amenities and has an open concept living space that is perfect for reconnecting. Set back in the woods, tucked along the coast, you will love the property and area surrounding this lovely cottage.

Conveniently located near Schoodic Peninsula (part of Acadia National Park), the small harbor towns of Corea, and Winter Harbor with its local shops and ferry to Bar Harbor (approximately 45 min). Many local artist studios and galleries are present in the area. Hiking and biking trails are abundant.

The perfect escape and nice to be away from the bustle in the Bar Harbor area. Sunrise late September spot on. We could have stayed longer and we’ll be back to Schoodic Peninsula.

Dancing Tides is a lovely cottage in a great location. Terrfic waterfront views from the deck and very close to the beautiful Schoodic peninsula. Home is well appointed and commfortable. The only negative are minor things like not enough paper products and welcome manual lacked any basic info such as location of living room thermostat (in tv cabinet!), and where to dispose of garbage outdoors. Some thermostats did not work and heated towel bar in master suite non functional. Including some basics like location of nearest grocery store would also be helpful. These are minor issues and hopefully an easy fix. I would recommend staying at Dancing Tides.

The cottage is set up great. All one floor and having a washer/dryer is SO convenient! The location is exceptional with beautiful water views and it is very quiet. We had a bald eagle visit on two of the days and we saw a seal and a porpoise. Lots of water birds and deer. The cottage is close to very good restaurants i.e. The Treehouse, Ironbound, and J.R. Gerrish...

Right on the water as advertised with a lovely view. Woke every morning to the sound of lobster boats and waves hitting the rocks. Very peaceful. Enjoyed being so close to Schoodic and taking the ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor. Love this quiet part of Maine. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We checked in at night and it was raining ! We so wanted to see the view ! The next morning my parents woke up to see the sun rise and it was absolutely gorgeous.They came and got me saying look at this view we are right on the water .My mom said the pics do not give this place justice.I chose this place to celebrate my parents both turning 75 this year.The communication was very good they fixed the TV and let us know that their was no air.The no air wasn’t to bad at night with windows open .The house is decorated so nicely but the view is out of this world !!!

Beautiful views and location!

Extraordinary spot on the ocean with beautiful sunrises with a secluded feeling. Great for treasure hunting and sitting in the deck. Loved the kitchen, deck, and location. Lack of shower in master bathroom and flow of tiny space in bedroom and bathrooms seems main place for improvement. Maybe shelves instead of the big hutch. The claw foot tub is cool aesthetic but lack of shower curtain around it left only one shower for three people in the morning. Everything else was amazing so enjoyable!!

Adorable and peaceful Location

I came here with my 3 kids (in their 20’s)Sitting on the porch in the morning and at night was absolutely dreamy. Very quaint home. Plenty of restaurants nearby. We came for hiking and we were not disappointed.

Only thing missing was the telescope but replaced with binoculars. The rest was as shown in the picture. Really a wonderful place to escape and relax just as we wanted it to be. Only suggestion would be to place a fire pit on the deck since the fireplace isn't working.

Spring Getaway

Set back on a private dirt road the setting was perfect. The property was within 50ft of the ocean with spectacular views. The sound of the waves was relaxing no matter what time of day it was. The cottage itself was very cozy, well maintained and had all the necessities we needed for our getaway. Thank you!!!

Coastal Maine at its Best

We did a quick getaway for my husband's birthday. I couldn't have picked a better place to relax and unwind. If you love the beauty of Maine's Rocky Coast, you just need to step off the back deck. Make sure to bring supplies because Downeast Maine is NOT the big city. Love, love, love it!

Wonderful & Private location!

We loved so many things about the cottage. Overall it was easy to use i.e. the washer/dryer are always appreciated and just the flow of the cottage worked really well. We are older so its being on one level was great and the views are stunning! It's close to great sight seeing and awesome restaurants. Being able to take the ferry over to Bar Harbor was a plus too!

Perfect spot for us

Quiet and comfortable with gorgeous bay views. Eagles, hummingbirds, the occasional deer. Dark enough for exceptional star gazing and glimpses of the milky way. We hope to return.

Amazing Ocean Front deck/lanai

The view from here of the ocean is incredible. The waves are amazing here and it was a great pleasure relaxing and cooking here. The kitchen has everything one needs. It is a remote area which we loved because we couldn't see the neighbors. . The bedrooms were on the smaller side but we like being cozy. There is plenty of room in the living room and outside for people to congregate. A part of Arcadia National Park is 3.5 miles away on the Schoodic Peninsula from the house.

What a Gem

The house is adorable! We enjoyed the view from the back patio: the lobster boats would move in and out of the harbor and pick up the traps. We even saw dolphins one day. The kitchen is well stocked. You can see the harbor from the living room and kitchen. It is effortless to interact from the kitchen to the family room. There are two comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms. Only one bathroom has a shower, however, the other has a big bathtub. We loved the location! It was peaceful,but we could still travel a short distance to get to a restaurant or for ice cream. The Schoodic Peninsula is AMAZING and not crowded. We saw great sunsets, fished, climbed on rocks, and had picnics. The drive to Acadia was a little over an hour but the scenery along the way made the trip go fast. Having a washer and dryer in the house was also a great feature. Quick responses from the owner and very easy to work with!!!! We loved every moment spent there.

Awesome Experience!

So relaxing and beautiful! Property has everything you could need. Winter Harbor is a great little community. Lots of recreation opportunities on this side of Arcadia with very little crowding. I highly recommend!

I've lived in Maine most of my life and have been involved in tourism and property management for as long as I can remember. Together with my family, we have built a booming property management business including but not limited to estate services, private events, vacation rentals, housekeeping services, grounds work, construction projects and much more! We also have an award-winning chef available for private events and a massage therapist available to bring her services to you at your rental!

When I'm not working, I'm balancing being a wife and mother to 3 young boys. We enjoy spending our days at the beach or lake, swimming and searching for treasures, camping, hiking, exploring new places or making memories with our friends. There is so much fun to be had in our great state and we are so happy to have you stay with us at one of our beautiful homes!
