** Beginning October 27, 2025 through March 30, 2026, there will be continuing construction on this building. Some dates have been blocked out for unit repair. You can expect loud nises such as grinding, designated walkway themporay closures, and workers present during daylight hours. Prices have been lowered to reflect this inconvenience.

Island Shores 655 sits in the most desired area of Gulf Shores, and in a low-density complex- meaning no long waits on the elevator! Walk to all the popular restaurants such as The Pink Pony and The Hang Out, and to the many Events held at Gulf Place Beach Access like The National Annual Shrimp Festival and The Hangout Festival. Island Shores provides Coin-Operated Laundry facilities on site for convenience as well as a shared swimming pool and direct beach access.

This Beach Front, Gulf Facing home can accommodate your whole family, up to 6 persons, with a Queen Size Bed in the Primary Bedroom with a private, Full Bathroom, a Queen Size Bed in the Guest Bedroom, Second Full Bath off the Living area, and a pull-out Sleeper Sofa for extra sleeping. Need more space? Ask about the home next door at #654, sister unit with he same set up!! This home includes a Fully Stocked Kitchen, updated furnishings, and cozy decor! Do not wait, this home books quickly!!

- Beach Chairs & Umbrellas: Sometimes guests leave behind chairs and toys they have purchased. If they are clean and in good condition, we will leave them for the next guests. Or, these items are fairly inexpensive and can be purchased at most local stores. Also, there are vendors that set up very nice beach chairs and umbrellas for daily or weekly rent (seasonally). Just find an empty one or the attendant.

- All Bed Linens and Bath Towels are provided. A full list of what is provided and suggestions to bring will be emailed to you upon booking.

**Admin Fee and Processing (credit card) fee are non-refundable after booking.

**WINTER MONTHLY RESERVATIONS/ SNOWBIRDS (November, December, January & February) -Monthly Rates are available upon request. These rates are not advertised. We prefer full month reservations from the First to the First.

The view was great and we were right on the beach. The condo itself was okay but needed some work. The unit had pubic hair on the toilets and the floors had not been mopped. In addition a dried dirty washcloth was hanging from the shower rod. I did not contact management as I did not want cleaners coming in after we had our things in. Instead I cleaned the areas we used with Clorox wipes and we did not go barefooted in the condo.

Great Location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location of this condo. The building itself was well maintained and cute. We loved their beach gear ‘borrow box’. It had plenty of floats/noodles/chairs/sand toys to borrow. The walk to the beach was short. We did take advantage of the laundry facilities and it was clean & the machines worked perfectly. $2 per wash/dry. The security gaurds kept the place safe and clean.The condo itself was very clean. The view from the balcony was so good. Plenty of seating to enjoy morning coffee and evening games. But there were some disappointing things. The water pressure was terrible. The towels provided were terrible (I recommend bringing your own!) & there was nowhere to hang them to dry. Nothing dried in the condo... bath towels, beach towels or bathing suits. I realize that we are in a humid environment but I’ve stayed at many beech condos/houses and I’ve never experienced that.

Nice View with a Few Problems

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at the complex we were informed that the elevator was not working. We were staying on the top floor, 6th, and as we were just 2 older ladies there was no way that we could take everything up by stairs. It took 3 days to fix! Unacceptable! We fill like we should be compensated something. Other than that, which was horrible, and hardly any water pressure for showers, the beach and food was great for Gulf Shores. I would recommend staying here as long as the elevator works.

It could use an update on bedroom mattresses, however. The provided bathroom towels were very thin and threadbare. The provided "bar" of soap was very small and lasted one day. We had no elevator problems and appreciated the security guards presence. Overall, we had a nice stay but the condo could use a bit of TLC. It was perfect for our three night stay.

Size of building was great. Not crowded Excellent location and security present at all times. The condo was clean but mattreses and towels definitely need to be updated. We booked this condo because it was available for a three night rental. The "bar" of provided soap was the size of a half dollar. Towels are threadbare and thin. I wouldn't use them as rags. Be sure to bring a good towel and bar of soap!

Liar liar pants on fire

The property was not what I expected. I called to assure there was a washer and dryer in the condo that we booked. I was told there is a laundry facility which cost 4 bucks to do a load wash/dry. The shams on my bed were dirty with someone else’s snot. We spent lots of time running and enjoying the beach. Also, we did not have enough towels for 6 people. Some of the plugs and lamps did not work. The best part of the place was a security guard named Dan. He was very helpful to recommend Daupin island, Mikee’s seafood, and Gulf Island Grill. Both places had excellent food. 655 was right by the elevator so you heard all the noise of everyone else coming and going.

Great view & location

It should’ve provided quality toiletries. Great location. Easy check in & check out process. It will be great to have blinders in the living room. Also, not dryer & washer machines inside the unit. That wasn’t clear enough when we booked.

Super easy checkin, was cleaned well upon arrival. Futon mattress was a bit thin and the mattress in the master room was a bit too soft in the middle, but we would definitely stay again! It’s what we expected of a budget friendly beach vacation.

Our End of summer family vacation

There was NO overflow parking, I got a citation twice, in less than 24 hours apart which I think is absolutely crazy because there was plenty of parking available and I had spoke with security more than once. If you are going to tell us to park in overflow parking then you need it available. Dishwasher didn’t work, dryer didn’t work. Every time we boiled water smoke alarm went off. Convenience was great.
