The Balcony Villa with cooking service included

The Balcony is the perfect place to enjoy Costa Rica’s marvelous tropical dry forest . Here, you can enjoy the sound of waves and a sublime vista of the Costa Rican shoreline, encounter with native tropical fauna (iguanas, monkeys, birds, etc), visit magnificent beaches and if you enjoy fishing, Flamingo´s Marina is just 11km away. The Balcony can be brimming without ever feeling crowded, and your alone time can be as enjoyable as the family time its atmosphere and wide spaces favor. Each of The Villa´s five bedrooms has its own private bathroom, either in-suite or adjacent. The house is large enough to sleep 14 of your closest friends or family. In the third-floor master suite, luxuriate in a king-sized bed, private balcony and Jacuzzi tub. Downstairs, the second and third bedrooms share a balcony, as do the fourth and fifth, located on the next level down.
No matter where you sleep ocean views will greet you and you'll drift off to the sound of the waves.
The Balcony comes complete with on-site staff that offers a cooking service included in the rate (2 meals per day, 6 days a week) and personalized concierge who can help you arrange transportation, booking tours, etc.
All along the house you will enjoy the flow of gentle breezes as you admire the beauty of the sea and the jungle.
Part of the attraction of the Villa is its great views, so access to the beach requires going down the hill. We recommend having a car or arranging a transport to return to the house.
The house has air conditioners in each room, but has no centralized air conditioning, this allows you to enjoy the sounds of the sea and greater contact with nature.

Wonderful family vacation

This property was perfect for our family of 11. The house and its recent remodel is incredible. The views simply cannot be captured in pictures. Sylvia was very helpful in arranging transport, golf, spa, and boating activities. Vicky and Bismarck were so accommodating and the meals were very good. The space was great for our adult family and everyone slept well. Only critiques would be updating some of the furniture upholstery and providing more acrylic glasses for poolside use. We would absolutely come back again!

40th birthday celebration with 17 guest

What a wonderful experience I had staying here with friends and family. The host Sylvia was so amazing and answered all of my questions leading up toy stay. She also provided excursion options and a cook was also available which was the best perk. The cook Vicky food was very delicious. The house was so beautiful and my guest loved just staying in rather than driving around. Highly recommended 10/10

Amazing views and delicious cooking service

We enjoyed a group trip with four families totaling 16 people. The views are amazing from the sun deck and every room in the house. The cook service was some of the most amazing food we had while we were in Costa Rica. I would recommend this property for anyone considering making the trip. One downfall is the steep drive to get to the house, so ensure you have the right transportation getting up to the house.

It’s everything you hoped for and more

Enjoyed our time at The Balcony. The views, pool,and air conditioning were excellent. We loved waking up to Vicky and Bismarck making breakfast and always looked forward to a delicious dinner in the evenings. The property has several different sitting and gathering spaces.

Great stay

The home was perfect for our stay. Pool was great. Comfortable beds. Lots of room for our group. Vicki and Bismarck took great care of us. The meals they prepared were delicious! The house is well outfitted and had everything we needed. The driveway is a bit of a challenge, very steep. If renting a vehicle you will need an SUV not a car. However the benefit of being high up a hill was the amazing view.

A little piece of paradise

Sylvia was so gracious to open her home to us at the last minute when there was a mix-up with our original booking at a different location. Her home is beautiful, and the view is spectacular. Vicki and Bismark, who looked after us and cooked all week, were top-notch. If you are looking for a place to stay, you won't go wrong.

Amazing Views - Loved the experience!

We had a week-long stay at Balcony Villa during the Christmas week. Beautiful vacation home, spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished with everything you need for a great vacation. The home has great outdoor setup with an infinity pool and dining space. It has one of the best views we've ever had in any of our prior travels around the world! The host Silvia and along with the staff (Bismark and Vicky) did a wonderful job taking care of our daily needs - from arranging the local trips to grocery shopping and arranging a great dining experience. The only challenge we faced was around transportation - the location of the house (on top of a steep climb, which provided the great views) meant its a bit of challenge if you don't have a car for local transportation. Our tour vans couldn't get up there and we had to walk up/down a few times. That said, the view of the bay in the mornings and the evening sunset views are simply outstanding!

Beautiful View

The views from The Balcony are outstanding. The property feels very private. The spaces for a family are well done - a large dining room (perfectly fit our family of 15), lots of space to lounge around the infinity pool, teak lounge chairs, an umbrella table, and plenty of patio space. In addition, the outdoor dining under the roof was beautiful and comfortable. We played a lot of games on those large tables. We had fun playing foosball and pool in the game room. The monkey families visited us each morning with their babies in tow. The Costa Rican birds visit as well. We also saw a lemur, local squirrels, and a raccoon that made the kids laugh. We saw all of that from our vantage point at the house pool. The property is only a few minutes from several different beaches - all with something different to offer. The concierge - Carla - was extraordinarily helpful. She went out of her way to help stock groceries, organize tours, and provide transportation when needed. Everyone in our family had a vacation to remember.

Excellent experience and stay

The property is amazing, we spent nearly all of our time outside, the outdoor dining area, the pool, the pool area, it has to be one of the most magnificent spots in all of Guanacaste to watch a sunset. The staff were friendly and kind. The property manager, Carla, was outstanding, professional, attentive, thoughtful and available at a minutes notice to help. The nearby beaches are beautiful (Plenca, Prieta, Flamingo). We loved it!

What a Blast!

From our Host Carla to the Staff Bismark and Vicky we were spoiled! They met every request and the owners reached out several times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and we needed anything. I hate to post this because we are coming back and don't want to share this location!

Gorgeous views, great staff, nice property

Communication with Carla was easy, she was full of information, had everything taken care of and she is very nice. Bismarck and Vicki were the absolute best hands down. They made the best food, accommodated all our craziness and just went with it all. The house was very spacious with amazing views. It needs quite a bit of work done. The pool was green for 3 days of our trip but Bismarck worked hard on fixing that and finally got it clear for the last 2 days. The pictures are deceiving and the beach is not something you can just walk out and hang out. We had to drive there and back every time. that was disappointing. For what we paid I guess I just expected a bit more. Overall it served it's purpose and we had a lovely Thanksgiving Holiday there with our entire family.

Awesome views and an amazing house

Carla and Vicki are the most gracious and accommodating hosts. Beautiful views, great location, close to local beaches and restaurants. Our group went scuba,snorkeling, beach walks, massages on the beach, zip lining and the local brew pub Potrero brewing, Hemingway’s and Las Brisas should be on your list of businesses we loved visiting. Great food and awesome employees. The pictures of the house are exactly what you get, beautiful views from all rooms and cannot wait to came back.
