The Spruce house is a beautifully restored two bedroom farmhouse located across the street from the iconic Abbey restaurant. One block to Quincy University. Centrally located near Blessing hospital and Quincy University. This large apartment located on the main floor is so spacious, It feels like a home. The space has many features, including a large porch to relax on.

Quincy Lacrosse Trip

This is it second time staying at this location and we just love it. It’s close to the stadium and campus. We will definitely be back.

Comfortable cottage

Beautifully updated older house in a close in, quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable with everything provided. Host very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place for a small family

Thoughtful use of the space in this home. The sound machine and extra air mattress came in handy with our kids. Host was responsive and polite. We were able to stay cool and relaxed, and enjoyed several of our own cooked meals while staying here. Xede

Amazing home and hosts!

This 1930s has been completely updated with all of the modern conveniences. The attention to detail and respect for the history of the home and the neighborhood is all you could hope for. Cannot recommend this property or these hosts highly enough. We'll hope to stay again when in the area.

This property was so comfortable and clean. I really appreciated the thought the owners put in to every aspect of this holiday house, from the essential supplies provided to the good quality towels and linen. The air conditioning worked wonderfully well and kept us comfortable in the unusual period of fall heat. Although not a walkable area, we were able to catch ride share where we needed to go during our stay and have groceries delivered easily. I highly recommend this rental to others needing to travel to Quincy.

Cute and thoughtfully furnished

There's absolutely nothing more you could ask for except maybe toothbrush and toothpaste. This is a beautiful little home which has been updated, yet kept original to it's history. Beds were very comfortable and the place was pristine! My husband grew up in Quincy (he's 80) and this place felt like home to him. We highly recommend this if you are headed to Quincy!

We stayed in this cozy, charming bungalow for 2 nights. It was FABULOUS! The decor and details were definitely a cut above. The owner has gone to great lengths to ensure your comfort. We thoroughly enjoyed our Cousins Getaway here. ❤️👭

As advertised

The place was very clean and neat. Very spacious kitchen and living room. The beds were very comfortable. The town of Quincy was very easy to navigate and it seemed like everything we did was only 10 minutes away from the property. I would definitely recommend this place.

Feels Like Home

I grew up in Quincy and this home was pure nostalgia for me. It was like every friend’s home I would stay in as a child. It felt like home. It was impeccably clean and had the most thoughtful amenities. We would absolutely stay here again if/when we find ourselves back in town.

Culver-Stockton Homecoming

My sister and I stayed the weekend when attending Culver Homecoming. It was easy to get to and centrally located go out to eat or shop. The home is clean and very well maintained. There is off street parking. We had to contact the owners regarding a question we had and they responded right away. Great place to stay and if we come back up that way we will be staying there again!

This has to be in my Top 5 of places (with 3 of those being castles) I’ve ever stayed and I’ve been traveling US and abroad for 40+ years. Warm, inviting, and quiet…and honestly felt like home. In Quincy of all places!

A great home!

Our group of 4 adults could not get over how adorable, comfortable, and CLEAN this home was! Well done! We were in town for QU Homecoming, and the proximity to campus was perfect. So many thoughtful touches really made us feel welcomed and relaxed. Will definitely recommend and stay there again next year!

Great stay, nice amenities

The bungalow was the perfect weekend stay for a family reunion. The house was excellent - clean, nice amenities and a lot of extra touches that showed there was care put into it. Thank you for the perfect place to be while staying in town. So much better than a hotel stay. We’ll be back if we come in town again. Not sure the owner or management company as was anonymous but things were planned well and we didn’t need assistance. Thanks!

Old with new.

Although we weren’t there very much, it was great to have a very well organized, clean, and well supplied place to stay. Loved the old wood floors, doors, and wood trim with modern and minimal amount of furniture. Would stay there again with no problem.
