The original family home of David Sayre, built in 1850, this charming 3 BR, 2 full bath and 2 half bath house is in the heart of downtown. Walk to Rupp Arena, fabulous restaurants, parks, Uk, etc. A very short 10 min drive to Keeneland or the Bluegrass Airport. This house oozes charm and history. All original wood floors, fully furnished and owned by a pet friendly family. To be able to walk to such cool places and a myriad of fun spots in a horse racing decorated house is pure Lexington!
There are three good size bedrooms, all on the second floor of the house . The loft bedroom has a queen bed and its own full bathroom. The other two bedrooms share a full bath in the hallway. The 2nd bedroom has two full beds in it and the 3rd bedroom has two full beds.
This is a very large house, I have been told by many of the guests that the photos do not do it justice to convey the size. There are two separate large living rooms, a full size 6 top dining room table, smart TV etc. The washer and dryer are on site and in the basement. There is a half bath off the kitchen and another half bath on the makn floor.
This house literally could not be better located in Lexington. There is a Target a half a block away and a lovely coffee shop right next door in what was Lexington's original first schoolhouse. The street and area is safe and probably 15 restaurants within a 10 minute walk. It has two privately driveways in the back of the house that offer spacious free parking. 10 min walk to Rupp Arena , Lex Live, the Convention Center. etc.
We are complete animal lovers so this is a pet friendly property with a $50 pet fee.
Guest access
The entire house can be accessed by guest, there are two separate entrances in the front and back . The Washer and Dryer are located in the basement of the house that is 170+ years old so the steps may be a bit steep for some down to them. There is also a separate upstairs balcony with seating along with lower balcony and large backyard.
